I had the pleasure to stop in during the STL Bakery Crawl. The @foundry is not my favorite place to shop, but Patty's fits right in in the dining hall. It is in a location that is not convenient for passing by, however, if you are eating there it is great. The @foundry itself is a bit cold in decor. I love a good cheesecake so had to try Patty's Cheesecake at the Foundry in StL. They have a lot of unique flavors which appears to change regularly, offering something new every time. However, the prices are a little steep at $4.25 for a petite (3 bites) and $9.50 for a slice. Unfortunately, they were out of forks so I had to ask other vendors. Honestly, you could probably eat one of Patty's petite cheesecakes in a giant bite, or two regular-person bites. They're just the right amount of dessert. They have a stall at City Foundry Food Hall in St. Louis. It's hard to walk by Patty's Cheesecakes without wanting to buy something, because all of the desserts in the display case look delectable. Cheesecake flavors range from chocolate chip to pink lemonade to birthday cake to blueberry honey. But if I'm trying a cheesecake for the first time, I'm going for the classic: original cheesecake. My original petite cheesecake was incredibly creamy, with sprinkles of graham cracker on top and a layer of buttery graham cracker on the bottom. It was perfect. The desserts are all ready to go, so I had no wait at all to get my dessert once I ordered. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and patient with me while I gazed at all of the goods before I decided what I wanted. I love this place because of Patty herself! I met her the other day and you can tell she loves her place with her whole heart and takes the time to think about these desserts. Minis are my favorite if I don't want a full slice but when I do wanna full slice, I want the Oreo centered slice or the apple pie cheesecake I enjoyed. Some of my favorite flavors for dessert are; birthday/wedding cake and funfetti. Seeing this huge slice of Funfetti, I was sold. It was perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. I was excited to try one of their cheesecakes at City Foundry, but honestly, it was pretty disappointing. Got their original flavored slices and the cheesecakes were not what I was expecting. I thought it would be more like Cheesecake Factory's where there was a graham cracker crust and rich filling but this one was kind of a mix between that and Japanese cheesecakes. Between my group of 6 we tried just about everything from the banana pudding cheesecake to the strawberry champagne and LOVED it all! My absolute favorite was the caramel macchiato, I wish they had it in a slice, and not the petite.
