Stopped by on a beautiful day to get my favorite affogato! I picket out one of the witches from the seasonal April menu, Rhiannon. I had them keep it in the case for me so I could enjoy the day with my affogato sitting at their tables outside. It was a little chilly but I enjoyed my drink, its always great! Greeted as soon as we walked in. We had fun looking at all the goodies and making our choices. I love the aesthetic and vibe, the decor and building are lovely. When my son said he was too full to get the gooey butter cake ice cream sandwich he wanted, they told him how many more weeks it would be available and also said they have red velvet gooey butter cake cookies, and he immediately ordered one to go, and thoroughly enjoyed it later. Cute little shop. I've visited their booth at the farmers market, but this was my first time at the shop itself. Their ice cream sandwiches are the main thing they are known for, but I stopped by specifically for their beignets. The beignets I ordered were freshly made, so quite good. This place so delicious! I loved seeing all the premade ice cream sandwich flavors they had! They even had a Thai tea ice cream flavor that sounded amazing, but it was an ice cream sandwich made with Rice Krispy treats so as a vegetarian I was bummed I couldn't try that flavor since they were premade. Other than that, all the other flavors were vegetarian, they even had vegan and gluten free options. Personally I had one of the special limited flavors and it was tiramisu, and wow, it was so scrumptious. Even the chocolate they drizzled on top of the ice cream sandwich was so rich and delicious. You could tell they used quality ingredients. Plus the atmosphere of the place and the kindness of the staff, I had a wonderful experience! The only downside was that there wasn't much seating! Outside there was one bench and a table for two. We had 7 people in our party so most of us had to stand around but no one was complaining cuz the ice cream was so good! Sugarwitch kept popping up on my For You Page on TikTok, so being the dessert-lover that I am, I decided to finally check this place out! After reading through the other fantastic reviews, I don't want to say that I was disappointed in my experience, but I think the best way to describe it was underwhelming. Based on their TikTok videos, I can tell that this business uses really high quality ingredients and that everyone working here is really passionate about what they do. I love the concept and that it's a locally owned business. As far as my actual experience, nothing necessarily wowed me. All of the sandwiches are pre-packed and ready to go in a freezer, so I walked inside, looked at the menu, told them which flavor I wanted, paid for my ice cream sandwich, and left. Employees were nice and had welcoming smiles, but I didn't have the chance to interact with them beyond this encounter. The business itself has a really cute interior and outside sitting area. Their core and seasonal ice cream sandwiches are $6 each. Not sure if I ordered the wrong thing, but my ice cream sandwich was very basic. I ordered the Zelie, which is coffee cinnamon ice cream and fudgy brownie. It was good, but I was expecting a little something more for some reason. My boyfriend ordered the Circe, which is blueberry ice cream and lemon poppyseed shortbread. I liked it better than the one I ordered. I will say that I was impressed by the softness of the sandwich. After sitting in a freezer, ice cream sandwiches usually harden, but these were pretty soft and had a great consistency! First time trying out this place at Finally Friday event at Laumeier Park. So glad I purchased the Tilly ice cream sandwich & hope to see Sugarwitch at another event or maybe make a future visit to the ice cream shop when I am visiting the city. Ice cream flavor had the concept of the snicker bar. I have usually preferred eating the brownies on its own and usually not as a sandwich. I wonder if there is an option in the future to order ice cream separate from the brownies. I also wonder for a future pop up event if one of the tacos can be offered along with plastic spoons? If I cannot purchase ice cream separate from brownie layers in the future pop up events, I am thinking I could at least eat the ice cream with the spoon first before the brownie layers. Go to Sugarwitch for a step back in time. Nostalgic location if you are an older person like me. It is located in an old bakery from yesteryear. It has not changed a lot having the same glass front cabinets, same layout as it had in its glory days. They have a freezer full of ice cream treats. Lots of sandwiches and there is a taco similar to the chocotaco. The sandwiches have a variety of flavors. They are very, very good. They also offer coffee and other drinks. My fantasy loving heart couldn't wait to get to SugarWitch to try out their ice cream sandwiches named after famous witches. Cool idea and even cooler building. It is like entering a fantasy realm with pastel ice cream shop charm. It had a few tables inside as well as picnic tables in the courtyard in the next lot for decent seating for a group. The service was amazing even as I asked 10,000 questions and they pointed me to the Tara ice cream sandwich, Miso brown sugar ice cream with a milk chocolate chip blonde (drool). It was incredible, with the savory miso contrasting with the brown sugar and blonde it was truly lovely. I also tried one of their gorgeous truffles, the goat cheese truffle was the perfect mix of savory and sweet and I wish I had bought 20 of them. I did get the Peach Edith Grey float which had peach ice cream "ice cubes" and a strong sparkling earl grey as well. It was good, a bit strong for me but when the cubes melted it was divine. I noticed they make a breakfast dessert sandwich for Songbird. You know anything songbird, especially a sandwich alongside their legendary breakfast sandwich (gasp!), is going to be good. I indulged and bought three flavors at the farmers market (6$ each). When I have high expectations I sometimes come out on the loosing end. Oh my people. Tears of joy. Came here upon the recommendation of a friend. It was a cute little store with tons of options for ice cream sandwiches and other sugary sweets. We got the ice cream sandwiches but we definitely want to come back to try the other options as well too (there was so many!). It was one worker, and we got our items pretty quickly. We got the Elphaba, which was a mint chocolate chip ice cream cookie sandwich. The brownie part was very chewy, and the mint chocolate chip ice cream section was soft and had the perfect amount of sweetness. We also got the Tara, which was a milk chocolate chip cookie base with a miso brown sugar ice cream interior. Personally, this hit the spot for me. There was a slight amount of saltiness contrast, the sweetness, and it really brought out the brown sugary flavor of the ice cream. There was something about that lingered but in a very delicious way this one also had a good amount of sweetness, and the chocolate cookie part was well balanced out by the ice cream part of it. Both sandwiches had very delightly textures to it. Overall, 4/5 stars would come again to try out the other interesting flavors. read more

My only issue is the price - it's a pretty small ice cream sandwich for how much it is, though gourmet, I wish they were a little bigger. I think the sundaes are priced appropriately though.
