Greeted as soon as we walked in. We had fun looking at all the goodies and making our choices. I love the aesthetic and vibe, the decor and building are lovely. When my son said he was too full to get the gooey butter cake ice cream sandwich he wanted, they told him how many more weeks it would be available and also said they have red velvet gooey butter cake cookies, and he immediately ordered one to go, and thoroughly enjoyed it later. Everything was great.
Cute little shop. I've visited their booth at the farmers market, but this was my first time at the shop itself. Their ice cream sandwiches are the main thing they are known for, but I stopped by specifically for their beignets. The beignets I ordered were freshly made, so quite good. Be warned, though, they are donut sized, unlike a lot of places where they're more mini donuts. I had leftovers. Worth a visit if you're in the area
This was so good! Grabbed a sandwich at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market this opening weekend and it was as good as everyone says! The brownie was delicious and the portion size was perfect- not too big or too small!
This place so delicious! I loved seeing all the premade ice cream sandwich flavors they had! They even had a Thai tea ice cream flavor that sounded amazing, but it was an ice cream sandwich made with Rice Krispy treats so as a vegetarian I was bummed I couldn't try that flavor since they were premade. Other than that, all the other flavors were vegetarian, they even had vegan and gluten free options. Personally I had one of the special limited flavors and it was tiramisu, and wow, it was so scrumptious. Even the chocolate they drizzled on top of the ice cream sandwich was so rich and delicious. You could tell they used quality ingredients. Plus the atmosphere of the place and the kindness of the staff, I had a wonderful experience! The only downside was that there wasn't much seating! Outside there was one bench and a table for two. We had 7 people in our party so most of us had to stand around but no one was complaining cuz the ice cream was so good! This area didn't seem too busy and there was a decent amount of street parking available. Highly recommend checking this place out!!
This is a cute little shop that makes some amazing treats! Options sell out, so go early if you have your heart set on something specific. Server was nice and explained that to some folks that were bummed out. We got a couple of different treats to share and they were all very tasty! If you get the chance to try their products at the store or when you see them at an event, do it!
Oh my goodness, you have to fly on over to Sugarwitch because it is absolutely delicious! You can tell they take great pride in their ice cream and creative witchy theming. If you need further encouragement to go out for ice cream, visit their Instagram to check out their seasonal offerings. I tried the cookie dough ice cream and blondie sandwich and it was chef's kiss.
Sugarwitch is freaking incredible. I essentially go monthly because they have so many options and inventive flavors. The staff is phenomenal and a great spot if you want something outside the ordinary of ice cream. You can't go wrong with an ice cream sandwich or a queen cone; their waffle tacos are also great. I love that they have a rotating seasonal menu and then a consistent selection of their core ice cream sandwiches. They also have coffee and teas, floats and seasonal beverages. They also host several events throughout the year and you can find them at the Tower Grove farmers market! They also collaborate with other local businesses and it is so fun to go to those events. I can't recommend this place enough!!
I've never had a bad ice cream sandwich or ice cream taco! They coin themselves as a little gay ice cream shop in St. Louis with treats named after witches. Unique and whimsical eh? Love them! Everyone is soooooo nice and helpful! Their shop has secrets. Before they moved in, it was the oldest continuing run bakery in St. Louis! Cool! Just cool! Made from scratch, sustainably sourced and made with so much love! Oh and Molina says thank you so much for her pupcups!
Sugarwitch kept popping up on my For You Page on TikTok, so being the dessert-lover that I am, I decided to finally check this place out! After reading through the other fantastic reviews, I don't want to say that I was disappointed in my experience, but I think the best way to describe it was underwhelming. Based on their TikTok videos, I can tell that this business uses really high quality ingredients and that everyone working here is really passionate about what they do. I love the concept and that it's a locally owned business. As far as my actual experience, nothing necessarily wowed me. All of the sandwiches are pre-packed and ready to go in a freezer, so I walked inside, looked at the menu, told them which flavor I wanted, paid for my ice cream sandwich, and left. Employees were nice and had welcoming smiles, but I didn't have the chance to interact with them beyond this encounter. The business itself has a really cute interior and outside sitting area. Their core and seasonal ice cream sandwiches are $6 each. Not sure if I ordered the wrong thing, but my ice cream sandwich was very basic. I ordered the Zelie, which is coffee cinnamon ice cream and fudgy brownie. It was good, but I was expecting a little something more for some reason. My boyfriend ordered the Circe, which is blueberry ice cream and lemon poppyseed shortbread. I liked it better than the one I ordered. I will say that I was impressed by the softness of the sandwich. After sitting in a freezer, ice cream sandwiches usually harden, but these were pretty soft and had a great consistency! Not sure if I need to go back and try different flavors or menu items or what, but I think I might've gone in with my expectations a little too high based on social media hype. Definitely not a bad experience, but also not the experience I was anticipating.
Only the best ice cream sandwich of my life! I tried Sugarwitch for the first time from their food truck at the Babe Made Fest 2024 at Knotting Hills event venue. It was so great. The texture and temp were perfect even with being served outdoors. The service was quick and friendly. The presentation is cute and neat. It was delicious. I'll be trying again! The Hilda is a seasonal pumpkin pie ice cream flavor but I would eat it all year long. The graham cracker toffee was excellent.
I have been wanting to try Sugarwitch! I am glad I finally made it here. Such a cute location and decor. When you enter you are greeted by the friendly staff who welcome you and show you the menu. They have SO many delicious options to choose from and that was the hardest part! Several offerings of ice cream sandwiches with some seasonal ones as well! I had the Mrs. Whatsit and it was phenomenal! All the sandwiches are wrapped and ready to either eat there or take some home or to your next party! Sugarwitch also has specials and novelties on their menu with sundaes, waffle tacos and pints! They have a drink menu with several coffees, teas, floats, and cold brews. I cannot wait to return and try more of these amazing ice cream sandwiches!! Get yourself to Sugarwitch asap!!
Go to Sugarwitch for a step back in time. Nostalgic location if you are an older person like me. It is located in an old bakery from yesteryear. It has not changed a lot having the same glass front cabinets, same layout as it had in its glory days. They have a freezer full of ice cream treats. Lots of sandwiches and there is a taco similar to the chocotaco. The sandwiches have a variety of flavors. They are very, very good. They also offer coffee and other drinks. Really nice place for a sweet treat! Very kind staff and they told us a bit of history about the building and business that used to be there. Very nice!
This place has been on my radar for several months now because of tik tok and WOW I absolutely loved it. This is going to be my go to spot this summer! The ice cream sandwiches were everything I imagined and more! Super thick ice cream, and the cookies on top are an amazing, and they somehow make the perfect combination of chewy and crunchy! The staff was very kind and attentive. The inside space is small so we enjoyed our sandwiches in the car because it's cold today. I can't wait to enjoy them on a walk on a warmer day! read more
I was stoked when I saw this charming little ice cream (+coffee) shop pop up in south city! Coffee-The coffee is great and Im pleased to have another option for coffee in that area. I'm a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to my coffee so I've only tried the cold brew and classic black coffee here. They were both delicious, bold, and reasonably priced. Ice cream- Now let's talk about the real star of the show. At the beginning of the year I signed up for the pint of the month club. I was blown away by the creative and delicious flavors they came up with! Each week the flavors just kept getting better and better. Even flavors that I initially thought I wouldn't like such as orange chocolate hazelnut and passionfruit caramel shortbread were surprisingly DELICIOUS! My favorite pint? It is honestly hard to pick because they are all so different and amazing in their own way, but if you're going to twist my arm....butterfinger deluxe made with homemade butterfinger. Those butterfingers were incredible. What I liked the most about the pint subscription was the surprise factor - it was exciting not knowing what flavor we would get each week ( until I received the email) and I got to try some delicious flavors i wouldn't have normally picked myself! Put your trust in the sugar witch staff and grab a subscription! They know what they are doing. ( pro tip-a subscription makes a good gift) Ice cream sandwiches- TBDBLFTI ( to be determined but looking forward to it). Sugar Witch is known for their ice cream sandwiches AKA"witches". I have not tried a witch YET, but I am looking forward to it( the pint club is 4 weeks long so it quest my sweet tooth satisfied for quiet a while.) Like the Pints, the witch's have some awesome unique flavor options. Service- I've been in the shop about 8 times between picking up pints and coffee. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. I've also reached out on Instagram with questions and received a very accommodating quick response. Give it a try y'all! read more

So excited for the grand opening! I've been getting pick up here and waiting in line at the Olio patio and even a custom order. I love that they have a gluten free and dairy free option available. Absolutely delicious! Everything is good and there are so many unique flavors. You definitely need to check them out! read more

Stopped at Sugarwitch on a Sunday afternoon while out and about. The Air-stream is super cute. I had a little difficulty making a decision on which ice cream sandwich I wanted. I went with the Ursula (Vanilla ice cream + rainbow sprinkles + salty brownie) since that seems to be their most popular / introductory flavor. Imagine that basic ice cream sandwich you've eaten every summer of your life but multiply it by ten and that's how good this was. Premium ice cream, the rainbow sprinkles, and a crisp salty brownie instead of a mushy cookie that's been absorbing moisture for months. SO GOOD! I can't wait to come back and work my way through the menu. Yay Sugarwitch! read more

I've hat Sugarwitch ice cream sandwiches at events but this was my first visit to the store. They have such a variety! I couldn't resist the Matcha Oreo Waffle Taco, and it was delicious! The shop is small, but they have some picnic tables on the side of their building that were shaded during the afternoon heat, so we could sit and enjoy our treats. I also purchased a pint, which they graciously kept in the freezer until I was ready to leave. Can't wait to come back to try more flavors and the push-pops! read more

I accidentally showed up to AO&Co a well easily got a Yelp event, and wasn't going to miss the opportunity to eat ice cream while I was there. The Italian wedding inspired cookie was insanely delicious. A thin layer of dark chocolate (my favorite!) sandwiched two almond cake-like cookies filled with a delicious almond ice cream. Thin layers of raspberry preserves separated the ice cream from the cookies. This seems like it would be difficult to execute, but everything about it was divine. The cookies and ice cream weren't overly rich, so the sandwich wasn't cloyingly sweet, but was perfectly balanced. Likewise, every flavor was in such wonderful proportion, with no one aspect of the treat overwhelming the other. I'm amazed, impressed, and can't wait to come back for more next week! read more

Excellent ice cream sandwich on a hot summer afternoon! Staff was friendly and it was great seating outside. read more
Yum, that was good! Delicious, homemade ice cream flavor options in a variety of cookie options for the sandwich. They are premade (or at least I didn't see a make your own option), so it's not infinite choice, but they do a good job of mixing the flavors to the cookies. For extra decadence, go with a sandwich that has thin/pressed brownies for the cookie. And a croissant with matcha glaze drizzled and sesame seeds - sounds odd, but delicious and satisfying. read more

Every time I have Sugarwitch, I try a new flavor and every time, it's the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had. Today I had the Hilda, pumpkin ice cream, cream cheese and a toffee white chocolate cookie. It was absolute perfection. I love that it's not just the ice cream flavors that change, but the outside cookie or brownie flavors too! AND they are always perfectly soft. No ice cream squirting out the side because the cookie was too crunchy to bite into, nope, not here. Absolutely love these ice cream sandwiches. read more

Upon first bite of the Luna it was instant love! These aren't your regular ice cream sandwiches and they definitely come with a big twist! The Luna had vanilla Ice cream, marshmallow with a chocolate covered graham toffee. If you haven't had it definitely go get one because they run out quick on Saturdays! I will be coming back every other Saturday if I can. read more

Proud Ally - ice cream is great and the people even better. What a great place for ice cream and great people. Even bad ice cream is good but this ice cream was fantastic. Had a nice and quick conversation with the employees and loved the ice cream I chose. Rest of the family was also delighted with their choices. I would visit STL just to go here!!! read more
What a wonderful and unique shop! I love that they focus on ice cream sandwich combinations of complementary ice cream/cookie flavors (all creatively named after famous "witches" of literary or mythical fame) as opposed to just scoops. They do offer Queen cones, coffees, soft drinks and specialty "Choco tacos", as well. Classic vanillas and chocolate fudge, plus cool flavors like rose, lavender, gingerbread, cereal milk, etc. All are handmade and look fantastic: some are dairy free/vegan as well. The menus are seasonal and sell out quickly, so if you see a favorite combo you better go get it while you can. There are core staples of "sandwitch" classics like Tonks, a mouthwatering peanut butter/choc/pretzel concoction, as well as several monthly special 'witches. The interior is adorable 1930's ice cream parlor charm and the building is housed in the historic Carondolet bakery building. I also fully support that they are a Queer women owned and operated business!! Everything about this business is fabulous and our coffees and ice cream sandwiches (arghhh, I can't remember what our flavors were called) were scrumptious. They went down so quickly we forgot about pictures! The coffee they use is divine, too. read more

The worst thing about handmade ice cream sandwiches is that the cookies smash together and the ice cream comes out the side - Sugarwitch has solved this problem entirely! Their sandwiches use cookies, blondies, brownies, even rice crispies! They had not 1, not 2, but 3 dairy free options for my wife which left both of us happy on a summer afternoon. Street parking was easy on a Sunday, there wasn't much room inside to eat so take your sandwich and enjoy it outside. read more

Love their ice cream sandwiches! What makes Sugarwitch so good is that not only the ice cream is very good, the outer cookie layer is also just as good, soft and moist to complement to cold and creamy ice cream. Perhaps a little pricier as they charge $6 for a relatively small ice cream sandwich, but definitely worth it as a novelty item and a delicious treat to have every once in a while. read more

Finally got to this place after hearing so many good things! The new location is much closer to our new place and we loved the tasty selection. Im a big mint girlie so the Elphaba hit the spot. Also, the texture/density of the sandwich brownie was perfectttt, so chewy and just right. We also got a pup cup to take home and it was devoured. Love that some proceeds are getting donated too :) read more
