This neighborhood ice cream shop is worth the drive and worth the wait. There is only street parking and expect about a 10-15 minute wait on a busy summer night. This is an amazing ice cream shop that uses nitrogen and makes your ice cream while you wait. It's quite a fascinating process to watch, and it leaves your ice cream with the most incredibly smooth texture. They have all the regular flavors, then they have alcohol infused flavors, and seasonal flavors as well. I chose the seasonal blackberry crumble, which is served with a cinnamon ice cream base. I think they use Vietnamese cinnamon because the flavor was amazingly intense. While their ice cream is priced higher than the average place, it is of higher quality, a larger portion, and premium ingredients are featured. It's well worth it. It's definitely in my top three favorite ice cream shops. There's a few scattered tables inside, but quite a few more on the patio outside. The staff was working so hard and I can't imagine how sore their wrists must be at the end of the night. Everyone was great. read more

Just like the name of the place PLAIN and fancy (only because they use nitrogen) the icecream is nothing special save your money.

I don't get over here often but when I do, I love it! It is expensive for the nitro ice cream so it is a treat, but one that is well worth it! Whether it is day or night I enjoy their ice cream. I haven't tried the boozy flavors, none of them really appeal to me, but I will hopefully try them one day when it tickles my fancy. Tim's the cutest little spot, small sitting area in doors but extended seating outside which is great during warm weather. Super smooth and creamy as you'd expect from flash freezing and made on site so always super fresh. Price is high and be prepared to wait since the creation process is labor intensive. Rocky road is our personal favorite, coffee also delicious. The flavors generally are intense with fun seasonal flavors too. I am based in the Shaw neighborhood so the location is also great...quick walk down the street and delicious ice cream is served! Things to note: it is on the slightly pricey side for ice cream but the serving is a good size, whether you go regular or large. The regular size is plenty (although you will probably wish you had more once you finish it because it is so good!) They make the ice cream on the spot and the process gives it a softer serve texture which I like. It can take a little longer to get too since they make it right then and there so keep that in mind. While I haven't tried it, they also offer boozy ice cream which can be a fun twist for your dessert if that is your thing. read more
