Biscoff
Kimmy S.

Small business need to thrive somehow. I've been following the owner for sometime, since she had opened her bake shop Whisk. It was sad why she had to close her shop but I completely understand. The popsicle are good but a tad bit pricey if you ask me. Again, I understand small business and rent is probably not cheap at the foundry. The stall/section, whatever you want to call it was cute, and clean. I tried he biscoff popsicle was sooo good! The cookie was still crunchy which made it a plus! It was not soggy, soft, or stale! It was delicious. My son wanted the Coffee cold brew was ok, I prefer the biscoff 10000000%. I think he also liked mine better ;)

Key Lime and Rosemary Lemonade

"It's really good" per my 26 year old daughter visiting from NYC. They really are tasty. She ordered Rosemary Lemonade and I took a chance on the Key Lime pie. Surprised she didn't get KYP since it's her favorite dessert (behind anything lemony). The KYP actually had bits of lime zest and graham cracker crumbs. The lemonade really tasted like fresh lemonade and not from a lemonade mix. Only gave four stars due to the size being smaller. Will try additional flavors next visit.

So many flavors

So many flavors to choose from. Choosing a flavor goes beyond just cream and fruit popsicles. Once you get to their display case, you'll see my point. The popsicles are the perfect size and the $3 and $4 price points are spot on for a quality product. A friend who is the executive chef for three of the booth restaurants near by, highly recommended the Crab Rangoon. OMG, it may not have had the actual crab in it, but the flavor was definitely there and it was so cool and refreshing. I need to go back and try some of their other creative flavors. Once warmer weather arrives, this place will be the bomb. I can see the majority of the crowd walking through, The City Founder will be doing it with a popsicle from Poptimism in their hand.

If you have any room left after a meal at The Food Hall stop by Poptimism. These handmade popsicles come in flavors from sweet to savory. They are so fun to take outside and sit in the courtyard area to enjoy. I wish they would travel home, maybe a cooler in my car the next time I visit the The Foundry!!!

Pineapple Mango

Not to be dramatic- but I'm pretty sure this is the best popsicle I've ever had. It was sooo hot outside (pushing 90°) and I was desperate for something to cool me off. We were walking around the City Foundry and saw Poptimism and figured this was perfect!! I tried the pineapple mango popsicle and it was delightful. Fruity, tart, and sweet. A perfect balance. My mom tried the Keylime Pie popsicle and said it tasted exactly like a frozen key lime pie. She loved it! Lastly we tried the banana malt pop and my dad fell in love. Banana is his favorite flavor and he was head over heels for this popsicle. Highly recommend this place!!

We stopped into City Foundry St Louis for dessert, following brunch nearby in Lafayette Park. As we were both full, we opted for fruit popsicles rather than any cream sickles. I enjoyed the Grapefruit Mint, & my daughter enjoyed the Rosemary Lemonade. They were perfectly refreshing and pallet cleansing.

Cute little popsicle shop inside the City Foundry. You can pick a popsicle and get it covered in chocolate and sprinkled with all sorts of treats. I went with a basic sour apple one and it was the perfect blend of tart and sweet like a real granny smith apple. It reminded me a lot of a green jolly rancher, which was how the girl working there described it.

We were really excited for this to open in City Foundry as we are big fans of Whisk and buying popsicles at the farmers market. We got our popsicles after dinner and my daughter was so excited to eat her goat cheese and berry one. She was so happy she ran up afterwards to tell them thanks. This is the perfect after dinner stop in the City Foundry food court.

The selection!

Yum!! These ain't your supermarket freezer popsicles. There are a wide variety of fruit flavors, but I opted to go for something a little different. The carrot cake popsicle is more of a creamy variety (vs. juicy), and was loaded with flavor. It really did taste just like I was eating carrot cake, yet with more ice cream sweetness and texture. Delicious.

You can taste the real cream and fresh ingredients. We love all the cake ones because they have actual cake pieces inside! The little waffle piece is delicious too. It's great to read their ice cream origin story on their napkins. This location is also a nice and heavenly smelling space, bustling in a good way especially at night. Happiness is a spoonful away…read more Jeni's is one of my favorite ice cream brands, and we are lucky to have on in the area. The step-less entry into the parlor has the offerings displayed largely on the main wall so you can see what flavors are available. The best flavor of the spring is the goat cheese and red cherry. A now discontinued specialty flavor, salted caramel, is the best so if you see those bright orange pints - buy one for me! The prices have gotten a little higher over the years but for specialty flavors and proper proportions, it can be justified if you are in the mood for a sweet treat. Plus that smell of freshly made waffle cones and bowls makes it all worth it. The service is also top-tier. The servers never seem to be annoyed with how many flavors I ask to sample and with every sample they describe the texture and flavor profile of the ice cream. There is a restroom inside the parlor, but you need a code from the servers to get in as it is more of a public space. It is wide enough for a wheelchair, but you may require assistance as the door is a little heavier.

It definitely did not disappoint. It was packed and filled to the brim, super generous portion and honestly a bit over the top but in the best way. The combination worked really well. The strawberry cheesecake added a nice creamy, slightly tangy balance, while the gooey butter cake brought that rich, sweet St Louis style indulgence. A really satisfying mix of flavours and textures throughout. One other thing I really appreciated was that they provided lactase which is such a thoughtful touch to make it easier for people who are lactose sensitive to still enjoy everything. It got pretty busy when I stopped by which says a lot about how popular it is. But there is plenty of space around for you to sit and enjoy the cold treat. Worth a stop if you're craving something sweet! Would definitely try just their ice cream next time.

Clementine's Naughty & Nice Ice Cream - Lovely nostalgia decor

Clementine's Naughty & Nice Ice Cream

Central West End

Flavor and Savor Clementine's is not just an ice cream shop,…read moreit's a happy place. They know how to build a space for eating ice cream, and they've thought about every inch of it. Colorful wallpaper wraps the room and at first glance reads as charmingly vintage, until you look closer and realize: it's ice cream wallpaper. Of course it is. The whole place rewards a second look. The chalkboard menu lays out the full lineup, including their signature alcohol-infused flavors (naughty) right alongside the family-friendly options (nice). It's busy in there, and on this particular night, you could tell at least one staff member was running on fumes and ready to move the line along. That's fair. But the broader vibe is staff who meet you where you are, offer samples, and let you take your time deciding. I knew what I wanted: salted caramel, cookies and cream, and Midnight Pleasures (their dark chocolate). Both delivered. We came here with friends after a great Vietnamese dinner up the street, and Clementine's is the perfect cap to a night out in the Central West End. This particular location is roomy enough to handle a group of six or more comfortably, which is genuinely rare for Clementine locations. Plenty of seating, plenty of space to settle in. Here's what sets Clementine's apart from the field: the flavors are approachable without being too hipster. There's a faithfulness to their approach without any pretension. Some novelty ice cream shops are all about "look at this weird thing we made" ...Clementine's is about thought. They've put real care into each flavor and they let you be the decider. That's a meaningful difference. 4.7 of 5 out of stars, easy. Stay a while. Give the staff a break and it's a solid 5 out of 5. If Clementine's were a character, it would be Mary Poppins. Practically perfect, a little magical, sweet without being saccharine. She doesn't move into your neighborhood, she shows up for an evening and makes it feel like an event. The wallpaper, the chalkboard, the boozy flavors next to the kid flavors, all of it is a spoonful of sugar with real craft behind it. You don't need her every day. You need her for the magical night. You can also grab pints to take home, which is dangerous if you live nearby. (Could you go every day? Yes. Twice a day if your metabolism can handle it? Also yes.) But this is the kind of place that's worth saving as a destination, the kind of stop you build into a magical night, share with a friend, and remember.
