We just realized tonight that dairy haven was open for the season and had to brave a storm to rush down for ice cream! I don't know what they do different but their ice cream is creamier and all around better tasting than anywhere I know. The line can get pretty long during a busy night but it's worth the wait! Make sure to try their orange sherbet. It's the best I've ever tried! read more

Absolutely the best orange sherbet twist there ever was. Scrumptious. Always crowded and traffic backed up, but well worth the wait. Very friendly service. Highly recommend treating yourself, we do on a 2-3 weekly basis. read more

my family has been coming to Dairy haven for special events and surprise Sunday afternoon treats my entire life. The menu is huge, so even after 30+ years, we still haven't tried everything. Get the banana cream pie concrete. Nice staff- wish there a was a public restroom nearby. read more

If handicapped call first. They close the drive through Willy nilly and suddenly the only option is trying to park and walk to order. I said something to owner and met with a luckwarm, "don't really care" attitude. read more

We come up often with our huskies. Tonight we came up to grab a bday pup cup at 8:50 not realizing they close at 9. Their open sign was on and they were taking orders. The older lady was so rude to have to take an order before close of two cups of ice cream (made wrong and would not correct it. Put nasty cones upside down and charged my husband more for her screw up!). If they don't want to serve people up until closing and want to be out by 9, close at 8:30! I'll go out of my way to go elsewhere. Ridiculous. read more

Thought it was dairy HEAVEN and BOY WAS I WRONG.. First I had to wait by some busy road where some hoodlum drove by blaring music with profanities (my wife was with me) so it put me in a bad mood. Then I ordered a slusheeroo, which was absurdly sugary. I tried to get my wife a chocolate vanilla TWIST but the girl behind the counter couldn't understand me and I couldn't hear her due to the cars and my hearing aid, so the girl brought out a chocolate and a vanilla CONE. That's NOT what we ordered!! When I asked to exchange it (politely) the girl behind the counter said we already ate half of it so we couldn't exchange. What a load of horse cr*p!! And some punk who works there was revving his car up, what a disaster! (I have tinnitus) read more

Ice cream was ok but the service was terrible. We asked a few questions (like what do you recommend) and the (older) lady taking our order kept rolling her eyes and was rude. Also, there wasn't a line or we wouldn't have asked a question because we have manners. read more

TIP: Cash Only!! When the hubby and I are craving for ice cream we drive out here, even if we live over 15 minutes away. It's so worth it! The people are super friendly, you don't wait long (whether it be drive thru or ordering at the counters) and their treats are amazing! I love the strawberry and vanilla twist. My childhood go to ice cream spot. It tastes exactly the same as it did 20 years ago. The go to here is a orange sherbet twist. I promise you will not be disappointed. The prices also feel they are 20 years old, I truly feel they haven't really raised prices all that much over the years. It really is a great deal! If you are in a hurry there is a drive thru as well, although the line can certainly be backed up during the summer time. After eating my sundae, which was good, I went back to place an order to go for my father. I forgot to tell the older lady working there that I wanted a cup instead of a cone while she was handing me a cone. I was trying to tell her that I usually order a cup or a concrete, so I didn't think of saying a cup instead of a cone. She just started yelling back, "Well, how would I know that?! I don't know that!" I was like alright, calm down and then I said I need it to go. She just briefly said, go to the second window. I did and that was it. She's kind of rude. read more

This last time I went I had the Brownie Royal. Delicious and filling. I think my favorite is their banana shakes. I would go there every July 4th as a kid and get it and watch the fireworks over St. Louis from my backyard. If you go just remember to bring cash. No debit, credit cards, or checks allowed. read more

Horrid experience. Self proclaimed "Manager" Brooke Meyer was extremely rude, smelled badly of alcohol and gave us the wrong order acting as if it was my fault at her failure. She seemed to have a mental breakdown as she scrambled and screamed at me while giving me my money back. read more

This is an East Side staple. for a family outing you aren't going to get much better. And the price can't be beat. I have no idea how they stay in business! This is not fancy pants ice cream with all natural, organic, ingredients. Think 1970's basics. Simple soft serve ice cream in all its varieties: cones, cups, sundaes, concretes, phosphates, malts, floats. Every time we come my family is happy. There are so many choices everyone will find something to enjoy. My favorite is the vanilla dip cone. Somehow their chocolate coating seals in the come and makes less mess than any other. read more

Well, I certainly won't argue with their product. I admit it's the best soft-serve ice cream I've ever had. So what's the problem? These people don't care if you're there or not. At the window I've never encountered anyone who exhibited anything resembling decent customer service--it's all brusque and indifferent. Tonight I showed up several minutes before closing time, but everything was shut down and an officious employee was outside telling everyone "too bad" (in so many words). I get that no one is going to seat me at a restaurant right before closing, but this is a cash-only, take-away ice cream stand. They truly don't care if they get your business or not... Remember Seinfeld's "soup [terrorizer]"? Caseyville has the distinction of being the home of his ice cream counterpart. What a shame. If it's too much trouble to smile and thank your customers for their business you really need to find another line of work. read more

They have a very good homemade orange sherbet. I tried the Orange Swirl cone and it was very good. They have a large variety of different Sundays, floats, ice creams, and even lunch food. I have never tried any of the other items yet because this was my first visit. I will certainly try them again read more

Today was our first time trying Dairy Haven and we will be back!!! The hubby and I both enjoyed the stuff we ordered! The drive thru was fast! The prices are amazing! Taste of sundae was Good wish my hot fudge was a little thicker but the hubby liked their caramel and he doesn't even like caramel! The girl at the window was very pleasant and had a great smile the whole time!!! I will be recommending this place to others! read more

After enjoying my split, I had to go back up to the order window and get my first Caramel Apple of the season. If you haven't had one of their apples, you gotta try them. I always go with the Caramel Pecan. I may try the M&M one this season. If you cannot make it to Maryville, they sell Bobby's Apples at local Schnucks and Dierbergs. The apples usually are in the produce department. Staff is fantastic. They are super sweet and friendly.
