I absolutely love Baklava, so when this came up near me on Yelp, I had to stop by. I was not disappointed. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful when I said it was my first visit. My previous experiences were mostly with Baklava from Greece or generic american random ones. I have even made it a few times. So I was shocked at the number of choices. I saw they had a small box that you could fill for a set price, so I went with that. I can't remember all the names, but I will try to identify the ones I can in the image and give opinions on each. The two on the sides I don't remember the name but were the only ones this shape. Tried them first, thankfully. I thought they were good Baklava until I tried the others, and now my second one just tastes OK in comparison. The one piece that is not a square was Iraq Baklava. Super sweet on the bottom. Really good. So I would eat a bite and be good. So ended up being 4 treats. The bottom squares are the two that the gentleman behind the counter recommend when I asked for his favorites. The Pistachio on the left and the Cinnimon on the right were both amazing in different ways. The cinnamon one is the most like what most restaurants I have gone to serve for Baklava and the most like the recipe I use. In the top right are 3 pieces of turkish delight. The far right is pomegranate. He let me try this in the store also when I said I had never had some and this was his favorite. I liked it enough to grab another. The darker one was raspberry chocolate and it is even better than the pomegranate. The final one is lemon. I love lemon everything almost. This has been added to that very short list of never try again for lemon flavored food. Next time I am buying the BIG box to fill. All but the lemon turkish delight will be in my next box. I will update if I find other good varieties. Many more to pick from

Love Sedara! They have a new updated seating area which is a great place to hang out. They are always fast at making whatever I order. It is always delicious!

I have previous been to the Sedara in Affton so I knew what to expect here. Stopped in on a Sunday and picked up a few pieces of baklava. I got pistachio, cinnamon pecan, chocolate pecan, and two of the pistachio stick cookies. I remember really like the stick cookies last time but this time I thought the three square pieces were much better! The sticks didn't have any filling. They were just phyllo dough and a little dry. The square pieces of baklava were all delicious and had just the right amount of filling and moisture. I think the pistachio is my favorite but let's be honest...I'm not turning any of them down! This is a nice little place in a strip center west of 141 and they are also serving coffee, Mediterranean flat-breads, etc. I'm sure I'll be back!

Sedara Bakery had the most delicious treats. My son and I went there on a cold day to warm up. Sadly they were out of hot chocolate but their Arabic tea was yummy. We also got 2 different Turkish Delight varieties and some pistachio baklava. All three were so great, I would go back again. The decor was very cool and represented the culture.

Even with the crowd, they kept the line moving and everything seemed very organized. I ordered a fruit croissant, a chocolate Napoleon, and a coffee. After I paid, my pastries were packed up right away, and within just a few minutes, my coffee was ready at the coffee counter. The whole process was quick and efficient. My friend spent a little extra time browsing all the pastry cases before finally making her selections and ordering a coffee as well. While we waited, we admired the beautiful cakes on display and talked about all the incredible-looking pastries. Honestly, I wish I could have ordered one of everything because that's what I really wanted to do! Pastries are one of my biggest weaknesses, and choosing just one or two items is never easy at a bakery like this. Everything looked delicious. In the end, I was very happy with my choices and enjoyed every bite. I even took the chocolate Napoleon home to share with my husband, and he happily helped me finish it. Overall, it was a great spot for coffee, pastries, and catching up with a friend, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area

It's kind of embarrassing that this place is literally just minutes from my house, yet I've only been here a couple of times. I knew I wanted something small, but a little more substantial than a macaron, so I went with the chocolate chip biscotti. It was a tough choice between that and the pistachio, but honestly, you can't go wrong with either. From the first few bites, it hit the spot. The chocolate added just the right amount of sweetness, and the biscotti had a satisfying semi-crunchy texture without being too hard. Surprisingly, one piece was all it took to satisfy my sweet tooth. I'll definitely be back to try some of their mini cakes and other sweet treats!

Cute little bakery!…read more After eating breakfast, I was craving something sweet so I decided to stop in at Bello's. This place is nestled away in a little strip and if you blink, you could miss it. I was blown away at everything they had to offer and wasn't sure where to start. I ended up getting three mini cookies: the thumbprint (pink), parelle (stars), and non-parelle. Each were unique with their own flavor but were just what I needed for a little pick-me-up. The pink cookie had bits of pecan and while I'm not a huge pecan fan in general, I didn't mind it! The other two were more shortbreadish in taste, but still had their own unique flavor. I think they have something for everyone depending on what you're looking for. The workers were incredibly friendly and the pricing was fair, but less than what I was expecting to pay. I get my nails done in the area, so I can already see this place being my go-to for snacks!

My personal favorites are their donuts and danishes -- both are consistently delicious. This visit, I decided to try one of their cookies. While it wasn't quite as standout as some of their other items, it was still fresh and well made. I also noticed several beautiful cakes being picked up while I was there, so that's definitely next on my list to try. Service is always a 5 star!

Got 2 sandwiches for lunch: the smoked pork and the roast beef sandwhich. Still can't decided which one was better because both were DELISH. The focaccia on the smoked pork was sooo soft and fluffy and light, combination of coleslaw with the pork was perfect. I thought there was no way the roast beef could be as good yet once again proven wrong. The challah was perfect and whatever cheese they had with the roast beef sandwhich was perfect. Pro tip: you can ask for the sandwiches to be heated up! As for the desserts: I really wanted a cake sweet treat but my eyes were bigger than my belly could handle. Got the maple pull, chocolate almond croissant , and ham and gruyere croissant. Which I cannot wait to eat tomorrow for breakfast!! Place is busy but moves fast. While my husband and I thought about our order, they got drinks started for us: an iced tea and a vanilla latte. We ended up with: smoked pork sandwich, prosciutto sandwich, caia (vanilla bean mousse cake), a chocolate croissant, a cheesy focaccia roll. The breads for the sandwiches were great and soft after being warmed up! My toddler loved the caia and refused to share with us. I liked their chocolate croissant and it would have been ideal with a hot cup of coffee. I highly recommend for literally all occasions!
