My review is based on having a Turkish background. I think positive reviews left for this place are from people that have no knowledge of middle eastern food and have very low standards. I was excited to finally try this place even though I was warned about the baklavas being too dry. Sadly that's true. I dint think they are made fresh. They lack syrupy. I understand they don't have much food traffic but cutting down on the types of baklava and freshly making them should solve that problem. Probably the second worst baklava I've had out here. I see why they make shakes though. Since they don't sell ans have leftover stock. We initially sat down to eat but it was so awkward that there's no music and so quiet. My husband said they don't vacuum between the chairs which were full of crumbs. We eventually got our food to go. The second issue is the food. We got a sucuk flatbread and ans egg pide. This is not a pide, it's just pizza bread. Cheese is mozzarella, should have been beyaz cheese. Middle eastern cuisine doesn't use this cheese. My egg was raw and just throw in a corner. Could have saved myself money by just getting domino's, at least my food would be cooked. If you want quality, try Balkan treat box, Aya Sofia or Garbanzo. I would also like to state that there is one employee that works front and back. I didn't see him washing his hands once going back into the kitchen to handle my food. The Crispy Cheese and Jalapeno Burak were really tasty, though lacking in the spicy department for my taste buds. The desserts were absolutely delectable! The service was quick and friendly. How is this place not packed for brunch? Amazing savory and sweet options. Had the Arabic funnel cake and my daughter loved it. Food was cooked fresh and I liked that you can see in the kitchen, as it kept my little engaged while we waited. Also, I loved the comfy seating. I absolutely love Baklava, so when this came up near me on Yelp, I had to stop by. I was not disappointed. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful when I said it was my first visit. My previous experiences were mostly with Baklava from Greece or generic american random ones. I have even made it a few times. So I was shocked at the number of choices. I saw they had a small box that you could fill for a set price, so I went with that. I can't remember all the names, but I will try to identify the ones I can in the image and give opinions on each. The two on the sides I don't remember the name but were the only ones this shape. Tried them first, thankfully. I thought they were good Baklava until I tried the others, and now my second one just tastes OK in comparison. The one piece that is not a square was Iraq Baklava. Super sweet on the bottom. Really good. So I would eat a bite and be good. So ended up being 4 treats. The bottom squares are the two that the gentleman behind the counter recommend when I asked for his favorites. The Pistachio on the left and the Cinnimon on the right were both amazing in different ways. The cinnamon one is the most like what most restaurants I have gone to serve for Baklava and the most like the recipe I use. In the top right are 3 pieces of turkish delight. The far right is pomegranate. He let me try this in the store also when I said I had never had some and this was his favorite. I liked it enough to grab another. The darker one was raspberry chocolate and it is even better than the pomegranate. The final one is lemon. I love lemon everything almost. This has been added to that very short list of never try again for lemon flavored food. Next time I am buying the BIG box to fill. All but the lemon turkish delight will be in my next box. A pal told me the place has the best Gyro in West Country. So minutes ago I walked in. The person in the back was looking at me like I did something wrong, before we even spoke. I said "a friend suggested I try the Gyro here because it's the best in West Country. Better than the Mideast Market (that's a bold statement but I'll try.) can I order one?" The person's reply. "No Gyro." So I'm try to describe a Gyro. Then he said it's Bread." His attitude was awful. I had to go across the street to the Mideast Market. It's Sad the place was empty. read more

I really enjoy this cafe. It has an amazing Arabic coffee that I get every time. The Palestinian-style pizza and flat breads are enjoyable without feeling stuffed. Also, the Baklava and ice cream are top-notch. Highly recommend. read more

I have previous been to the Sedara in Affton so I knew what to expect here. Stopped in on a Sunday and picked up a few pieces of baklava. I got pistachio, cinnamon pecan, chocolate pecan, and two of the pistachio stick cookies. I remember really like the stick cookies last time but this time I thought the three square pieces were much better! The sticks didn't have any filling. They were just phyllo dough and a little dry. The square pieces of baklava were all delicious and had just the right amount of filling and moisture. I think the pistachio is my favorite but let's be honest...I'm not turning any of them down! This is a nice little place in a strip center west of 141 and they are also serving coffee, Mediterranean flat-breads, etc. I'm sure I'll be back! read more

I would rate my experience at Sedara as mixed. Ordered the pide with cheese and egg and it was bland, and reminded me of a Little Caesar's cheese pizza. My wife got flatbread but it turned out to be just a pizza. We also told them we would be dining in but they brought the food to us in to go boxes, and the tables are small. The staff behind the counter showed little urgency. On the plus side, the sofa seats are cool. I also had the Lebanese fries and they were delicious. The sweets were very good also. My suggestion, go for the sweets but there are better options for Mediterranean/Middle East food around. read more

Sedara Bakery had the most delicious treats. My son and I went there on a cold day to warm up. Sadly they were out of hot chocolate but their Arabic tea was yummy. We also got 2 different Turkish Delight varieties and some pistachio baklava. All three were so great, I would go back again. The decor was very cool and represented the culture. read more

Even though they have limited option for the entree (Pizza only) they have wide variety of sweets. As name suggests that it is a bakery. Everything they had was tasty and unique flavors which is hard to find in the town. The service and most importantly ambiance is fantastic with luxurious dine in booth. Omfg this place is amazing. The food (even when delivered) is burning hot and fresh; eating in the restaurant it's nearly a religious experience. The pide with egg is to die for...the Saharan wings are insanely good. And the kicker? Great prices, creative options! Would love to see more varieties than black olives on the olive pizza, and would ask for tzatziki sauce for the zataar fries, but both had great flavor. Will definitely be visiting again to try other things. read more
