    Crispy Cheese and Jalapeo Burak

The Crispy Cheese and Jalapeno Burak were really tasty, though lacking in the spicy department for my taste buds. The desserts were absolutely delectable! The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is fantastic, with the cozy seating areas, though for eating purposes, the tables are too small. Prices were reasonable and I enjoyed my visit. Would come back here!

Small box where you can pick what you want to fill it with for a set price. See review for flavors

I absolutely love Baklava, so when this came up near me on Yelp, I had to stop by. I was not disappointed. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful when I said it was my first visit. My previous experiences were mostly with Baklava from Greece or generic american random ones. I have even made it a few times. So I was shocked at the number of choices. I saw they had a small box that you could fill for a set price, so I went with that. I can't remember all the names, but I will try to identify the ones I can in the image and give opinions on each. The two on the sides I don't remember the name but were the only ones this shape. Tried them first, thankfully. I thought they were good Baklava until I tried the others, and now my second one just tastes OK in comparison. The one piece that is not a square was Iraq Baklava. Super sweet on the bottom. Really good. So I would eat a bite and be good. So ended up being 4 treats. The bottom squares are the two that the gentleman behind the counter recommend when I asked for his favorites. The Pistachio on the left and the Cinnimon on the right were both amazing in different ways. The cinnamon one is the most like what most restaurants I have gone to serve for Baklava and the most like the recipe I use. In the top right are 3 pieces of turkish delight. The far right is pomegranate. He let me try this in the store also when I said I had never had some and this was his favorite. I liked it enough to grab another. The darker one was raspberry chocolate and it is even better than the pomegranate. The final one is lemon. I love lemon everything almost. This has been added to that very short list of never try again for lemon flavored food. Next time I am buying the BIG box to fill. All but the lemon turkish delight will be in my next box. I will update if I find other good varieties. Many more to pick from

Love Sedara! They have a new updated seating area which is a great place to hang out. They are always fast at making whatever I order. It is always delicious!

I have previous been to the Sedara in Affton so I knew what to expect here. Stopped in on a Sunday and picked up a few pieces of baklava. I got pistachio, cinnamon pecan, chocolate pecan, and two of the pistachio stick cookies. I remember really like the stick cookies last time but this time I thought the three square pieces were much better! The sticks didn't have any filling. They were just phyllo dough and a little dry. The square pieces of baklava were all delicious and had just the right amount of filling and moisture. I think the pistachio is my favorite but let's be honest...I'm not turning any of them down! This is a nice little place in a strip center west of 141 and they are also serving coffee, Mediterranean flat-breads, etc. I'm sure I'll be back!

Sedara Bakery had the most delicious treats. My son and I went there on a cold day to warm up. Sadly they were out of hot chocolate but their Arabic tea was yummy. We also got 2 different Turkish Delight varieties and some pistachio baklava. All three were so great, I would go back again. The decor was very cool and represented the culture.

I ordered the mixed grill and for a free appetizer they brought me a pita and trio of three pastes that I loved and was very tasty. The mixed grill was all the usual combination of skewed meats including beef kofta, lamb kabob skewer and chicken shish tarwook and wow! it was killer, and loved the side of deliciously spiced rice, grilled onion and tomato. I've lived and worked in the Middle East for years so I often miss the fine food I ate there so this was as close to the Middle East/Lebanese cuisine I've had in the St. Louis area. My server was friendly with great service and it didn't take long for my lunch but I wasn't in a hurry anyway. The decor is nice and I only wished they had freshly made ice tea instead of Lipton out of a bottle but happily they gave me fresh slices of lemon and a glass with ice for my tea.

We ordered falafel to start and I got the lamb kebab and my date ordered the chicken shawarma plate. Falafel was THE BEST I've had yet, and I wish it was endless. The yogurt sauce they are served with compliments them perfectly. My lamb kebab was cooked just like I like and I really enjoyed this meal. The chicken shawarma was also really good and both plates had ample portions. This was a great date place, We will be back!

Later that morning, I decided we should go there for lunch since Ms T was out to lunch (literally, this time) with a friend. As a result, KT and I ended up at Dinar, a first time for me. I have driven by many, many times and have not taken the time to investigate. I kind of assumed it was Indian cuisine or maybe pan-Mediterranean. I had no idea. She told me that they provide a complimentary small serving of the lentil soup with meals, but we asked for a large serving each and shared an Iraqi Chicken Tikka sandwich. The soup was delivered first, and I must say that it is very good. It has delicious chicken flavor and is not really spiced in any other way, although there is plenty of salt. We loved it. I shook on a little black pepper and really enjoyed it. It is simple, yet so good. The Chicken Tikka sandwich was ordered with their Iraqi bread, which I highly recommend. This sandwich is something I would also go back for. The chicken is well seasoned and grilled so that it has a good char-flavor. It is dressed, with pickle, onion, tomatoes and herbs. It is flavorful and the chicken is not dried out. There are a lot of things to try on their menu. If I can't get Ms T to go, I'm sure KT will meet me there occasionally. There have been several restaurants in this location over the past ten years or so. I hope that Dinar can succeed.
