Stopped in to try a seasonal PSL. This is inside of a large building so you have to park in garage or find a spot out front. The pumpkin spice syrup was okay but not strong. The latte was quite milky and I didn't get any flavor of espresso at all - was a little disappointed. Maybe try a different latte if you go or add another shot of espresso?
What an odd name for a coffee shop located in the lobby of a medical office building. Er, I'm assuming this is a medical office building. I've only gone there to have blood work done, and even then, only because I couldn't get an appointment at any of the other locations, natch. My understanding is that this building was built back in the 1980s, maybe around the time they built the Galleria, with the thought that if they built one such building others would follow. Fast forward 40 years later and not only is this the only skyscraper in the area, it's one of the only (semi-) occupied structures on this accursed stretch of Brentwood Blvd. I imagine foot traffic is minimal, but I'd encourage anyone who just got off the MetroLink on their way to stab someone at the aforementioned Galleria to stop by and have a look. This place makes a mean Strawberry Matcha. It might honestly be better than the one I had at the Upshot in Clayton, which I passed on my run from here yesterday. It took all the strength of will I could muster to not stop and have a burrito, like when Bill Clinton used to stop at McDonald's on his runs back in the early '90s. Weirdly, I'm now the exact same age, and let's just say I get it. All of it. I love the fact that they give this drink to you not stirred, so you can see the separation between the milk, the strawberry syrup and the matcha (whatever that is). A girl I was with (but not "with," natch) remarked that it looked like an Italian flag. Also, it probably ensures that you're getting the various ingredients in the correct ratio. Sometimes you get these lattes, and they mostly just taste like milk. They're not putting enough syrup in them, and the issue might be that the syrup is visually indistinguishable from the rest of the drink. It's a brown-ish liquid in another brown-ish liquid. The only way to know if it's right would be to taste it, and I don't need some of these baristas tasting my drink. I don't know where their mouth has been. (Some of them could do literally anything and I'd be fine with it.) Anyway, it was a good drink. The burrito wasn't as good as the burrito at Upshot, but it might be the second best one that I've had, and I've had breakfast burritos from all over: Living Room, Bike Stop Cafe, Goshen Coffee Roasters. They give you the choice between bacon or a non-meat option. I didn't think to specify (the heat may have permanently damaged my brain), and they had the sense to give me bacon. Kudos! I like the fact that there's potato in addition to the bacon and egg, providing variety and heft. The monterey jack cheese gives it a vaguely southwestern vibe, and then the chipotle crema that comes with it (truly a miracle substance) really sets it off. I also got a Pesto and Parm Focaccia, on a recommendation from one of the girls in our group. I didn't need it, and if the taste was any indication, this was one of the least healthy things I've ever eaten--like an elevated Cheddar Bay Biscuit from Red Lobster, if you can imagine. But it was good, and it was further proof that this place knows what they're doing, weird name and location notwithstanding.
I will say this is a great spot for coffee. I ordered the honey lavender iced latte with oat milk and it met my expectations. The blend of espresso was pneumonia. I love the decorations inside. It is a classy brunch/ lunch location. The chocolate filled croissant was delicious! I loved the sugar cookie as well. Who ever the chef is needs to be recognized bc the food looked incredible. If you have not checked out this place you need to!
Coma is a great spot if you are in the area or, even better, if you are stopping in the building! I'm lucky my dermatologist is upstairs so I always stop by. I always get an iced caramel latte, and they rank well amongst other lattes I've tried. There is usually always a line, but service is quick at the counter, and I've never waited too long for my drink. One con is that it's fairly loud in here, and each time I've been, I've never been able to find a spot to sit inside. Luckily, each time I go I'm always taking my drink to do. I recommend Coma for your next coffee stop!
I love love love their seasonal strawberry matcha! Wish they had it year round. It's the absolute best in St. Louis and I've tried quite a few. Coma is also just such a good coffee shop to sit and work, or to catch up with someone. They have many different seating options, and although inconspicuous from the outside, is very cute and bright on the inside. Don't miss out their second floor, the stairs are near the entrance when you walk in.
I had a giftcard for here left from a long time ago so I decided to finally use it up. During covid this was my go to coffee place as they had half gallons to go. I ordered a vanilla latte and the seasonal spicy potato hash. My coffee was delicious and came out pretty quick. Sadly though my food took over 20 mins and the eggs were overdone. It was cold too by the time it got to me. Taste was good. It's a cool place with both an upstairs and a downstairs. Seems like a lot of people go there to work and spend a good amount of time there. Seating isn't always easy, but I did find a seat upstairs. I will def come back for coffee, maybe not to eat.
I remember stopping by this place years ago, and the coffee was good, but there wasn't anything that jumped out at me and made me want to come back. I finally returned, and this might as well be a completely different store. On this Sunday that I stopped in, people were all over, some socializing, some working, some grabbing food. There is plenty of hang out space inside and outside of the shop. I didn't grab any food, but that which I saw looked great. And the coffee was excellent as well. Definitely the type of place that invites you to stay awhile
Came back to give them another try. This time i was definitely impressed. The young lady working the register was friendly and welcoming. I was informed by the manager to come back and get my drink remade on the house. I showed the workers the message and my review, but they were unaware of what was going on. They quickly got on top of it and reached out to the owner for clarification and got me together. I ordered a honey Lavender Latte (iced). It was so delicious. It was not overly sweet and you can definitely taste both the honey and lavender. This may be my go to drink. I also ordered the breakfast Sammie. It's a breakfast sandwich with bacon, fried egg, cheese, and cinnamon butter on sourdough bread. They toasted the bread perfectly and sprinkled it with a touch of sea salt. I should've gotten a side of cinnamon butter or a little extra to incorporate a little more sweetness to balance out the salty. It was delicious and filling. Thank you Rachel for ensuring my next visit and drink was better than the first!
I was skeptical of this coffee shop from the exterior, but it has a quickly become one of my favorites! The staff is always so friendly and the food is so good. They are always packed, but they do have additional seating upstairs. We got a couple of pastries and some breakfast items with flavored lattes. I do like that they have some homemade syrups! Highly recommend this place for a quick brunch or coffee.
I f*cking love Coma Coffee. It is the perfect work from home / study / hangout spot. The food is great and I'm glad they have such a robust menu. Their drinks are also fabulous and I've been working my way through their menu. I gotta say the lavender latte is a favorite. Definitely wanna go back and try their cold brew with the chocolate cold foam! I will say for remote workers it can get a little loud. So bring your noise canceling headphones and make sure your laptop / devices are charged cause they don't have a ton of outlets either. All that to say, the wifi is strong and I've never had issues with it.
It's strong! It's black. It's strong black coffee! Jet A Fuel for me! She runs bold. This spot has great parking and plenty of space to work. The aesthetic is quiet and head down! She's also got snacks! For the folks who love the syrups and pumps here and there, they have you covered! Wish I liked it! Quick friendly service!
What an absolute gem in brentwood! In an area that is a desert for good coffee Coma can be your oasis. Multi level, vibey, and delicious. First and foremost the workers are awesome. Just a slew of coffee loving folks smiling and having a good time serving students, partners, professionals, and everyone in between. You can study, catch up with friends, and even have yourself an AM espresso martini. Bar seating, table seating, stools. No matter the occasion they got you set. Oh, and the pastry box is DECADENT! The confetti cookie is incredible.
I came in to test Coma out as a coffee shop to get some work done outside of my home office. Came in on a Friday late morning. Most of the tables downstairs were already taken but I lucked out and someone was leaving as I arrived. Didn't have a chance to peek upstairs but it seemed pretty busy. Variety of coffee beverages, including seasonal specials! I had a dirty turmeric latte special which had good flavor but note that is comes iced by default. Appreciates the variety of breakfast and lunch options but will say that the prices are kind of high for what you get. Definitely recommend a biscuit though! Great texture and flavor!

Went on a weekend so it was packed! Luckily we were able to find seating. The area was bustling, but a nice coffee shop to hangout or study at. Coffee was good, I tried the blackberry caramel latte on the seasonal menu and I appreciated the interesting flavor combo! read more

I was searching for a place with coffee flights and this place came up. My friend and I were dining in so I THOUGHT when I ordered a coffee flight that they'd serve it in the cute glasses like the pics I saw but I guess I was wrong so that was a huge bummer. Coma coffee is a really cute coffee place near the galleria. I think it is a perfect place to go if you need to get some work done because of its many windows and seating areas. Though it can sometimes be a bit crowded, the workers there are super friendly and the coffee they serve has always been better than normal cafes. Their espresso tastes nutty and sweet and they also serve light breakfast items if you wind up getting hungry while working. Overall I think it's a good place to bring a friend for a chat or to spend some time on a date with yourself! read more
Coma has become one of my favorite coffee shops in STL. I have consistently been visiting Coma for the past 5 years. The inside is bright with seating on the first floor, around the bar, and long tables on the second floor that overlook the first. The decor is modern yet artsy. The service is consistently good -- the people taking your order are kind and helpful, and your drinks come out within 5 minutes typically. The drinks themselves are wonderful. Coma serves one of my favorite cafe drinks in STL: the strawberry matcha -- a traditional matcha latte with strawberry syrup at the bottom. I look forward to this seasonal drink every year! Coma's lattes, teas, and drip coffees are also wonderful, too. I do not order food often but today I ordered the chicken mozzarella pesto panini with a caesar salad. The salad was perfect, and the sandwich was tasty. The chicken was a bit dry but overall flavorful. I highly recommend Coma! It's a wonderful spot to study, meet with friends, or read a book! read more
Decided to try this place because it had really good reviews and was a little surprised to find it on the main floor of an office building. The upside is that there was plenty of parking on a Sunday morning! The space is very open, plenty of tables, bar spaces, and a mezzanine area with comfortable seating. My friend and I placed our orders and took a seat at a table. We ordered a chocolate orange latte and an iced latte with extra caramel. Both coffees were delicious, but the food really surprised us. I had toast with peaches, goat cheese, and balsamic drizzle. The flavor was outstanding. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and it was a perfect balance of sweet and salty with egg, bacon, and cinnamon butter. read more
We came here around 10am on a sunday. This place is inside of a building. Could be an option for remote work. They have outdoor tables facing to a parking lot. We ordered black coffee, wasn't fresh. They forgot to bring them with our food. Neither Breakfast hash bowl with brussel sprouts nor original avocado toast was good. Brussels sprouts weren't cook all the way. Paid $30 for all these. Not sure what is special about this place. read more

I went on a Saturday morning so I had to wait in line to order. Once I ordered they had my drink ready quickly. I got a cold brew with almond milk. The coffee was really good. They had a bunch of pastries that looked fresh. They have the option to order online if you are in a hurry. This is a great place to study or get some work done. read more
I came here to meet with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and it honestly was the perfect place. There's two floors with seating and outdoor seating as well. There's a parking lot across from the shop, which is inside of a building. The service was nice and they were very friendly. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I can't really attest to everyone's standards, but I prefer something super sweet haha. That being said, I'm interested in trying non-coffee items. I didn't get to explore the menu the way I would've liked, but there's more opportunities. I definitely plan to come back to try something new! read more

This is a cute spot in the bottom of a business building. Service is quick. They offer coffee, tea and boozy options. Smaller and bigger bites for food. I ordered the original avocado toast that has lemon and everything bagel season which was delicious. Parking can be a little rough during busy hours. Highly recommend! read more

Coma Coffee is such a gem!! The menu is loaded up with tons of unique drinks and eats. Coma is nestled in a large building directly across from the Galleria. The building has TONS of parking which is great so you don't have to stress about where to park. It can get pretty busy in there but they do have lots of seating on both floors. The service is always great. The baristas are knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I went to this cafe with my mom to study a bit and it did NOT disappoint! We found a nice place to sit upstairs and it was very easy to lock in. My avocado toast was delicious, it was perfectly filling and was a little sweet which was a nice flavor. Sometimes avocado toast can be too salty so this was perfect! My mocha was so yummy it fueled me right up. The service was very pleasant, the tip jars said icarly or victorious which was a nice little addition. Love this cafe and I'll def be going here a lot over the summer! read more
This coffee shop is an amazing place to meet up with friends for breakfast/brunch, or just to sit down to read/ work. It's situated on ground level of an office building. The service is good and prices are reasonable. I usually just stopped by to grab a matcha latte or oat latte to go, so I haven't tried their food yet. I like that they use robusta coffee which offers the classic and nostalgic taste of Vietnamese coffee- bold with notes of dark chocolate and nutty. Their signature drinks are very creative and seasonal. It's also nice that they have delicious vegan muffins and some gluten free options. The line here can be super long between 8-9am, and parking can be tricky sometimes. read more

It was my first time in St. Louis and i was not going to leave without trying at least one coffee shop. Let me start off with the interior. It's spacious. It has 2 levels. It was busy but I wasn't expecting anything less since it is located at the base of a hotel. The workers were extremely nice! We ordered the OG Avocado toast, Strawberry Salad, and Strawberry Matcha Latte. The toast was had a THICK layer of avocado on it which I didn't mind since I love avocado. I'm not much of a salad person but their Strawberry salad was sooo delicious! I'd come back here when I visit St. Louis again! read more

The seasonal iced strawberry matcha was delicious - and I don't normally like matcha! Their breakfast options are filling and tasty. Price is the only thing that knocks Coma down from 5 stars. The price of the avocado toast is why people don't like millennials like me. BUT the price is listed up front and the descuida accurate. What REALLY matters is that it tasted amazing and is exactly what I wanted. And the cappuccino was perfect. I've probably driven by this place a million times and never known it was there - I'm so glad I was looking for a new coffee spot on Yelp and decided to try Coma Coffee! It's disguised inside of a business building, but this is a really cool coffee shop with a lot of seating options. I love that they have a second story so there are so many choices of where to sit -- tables, sofas, bar seats and some tables outside. This is the perfect coffee shop for studying, working or reading. I tried the dirty chai tea latte and it was delicious. My usual complaint with a dirty chai is that there isn't enough espresso, but this one was perfect! It gave the perfect caffeine boost. I was very jealous anytime someone else's food came out, so I'll definitely be back to try their menu. read more
Such great coffee and food! The coffee is strong (which we love). I usually get a flavored latte (I got the honey and cinnamon this time), and the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich has an egg, cheddar cheese and bacon with honey cinnamon butter finished with sea salt. It is so bomb! I also got the vegan sugar cookie and I couldn't tell it was vegan at all. Very soft on the middle with a crispier edge. The inside has two levels so there is plenty of space and a lot of people there were working from the coffee shop. The upstairs has couches and comfy chairs in the middle and a couple of tables. The downstairs has mostly small tables and chairs and a bar area to sit at as well. The baristas are always super friendly and service has always been pretty quick. I also have used their ordering to go and it's always gone very smoothly. read more

Trendy and quaint coffee shop and also bar! It gets super crowded since it is inside an office building. They have interesting specialty coffee drinks like honey lavender latte and pistachio latte. I usually just get the cappuccino. They seem to have a great breakfast and lunch menu. I haven't try any of their food items but I heard great things. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. They have wines, beers on taps, and cocktails including some speciality drinks. Overall, I really nice spot to chill out. read more
I enjoyed the drinks, good roasted flavor and the matcha was refreshing. Don't forget to mix the matcha drink to get that bitterness of the matcha and sweetness of the strawberry. Staff were friendly. There's seating all around the barista island but it was pretty packed. There's also outdoor seating available. Luckily, while some stayed, there were also others like us who were there to get a drink and go. Next time I would want to try their interesting food items they offer. There is a parking lot as well. read more

Can we have updated hours on here? I just called and the machine says you guys close at 2pm every day, the website says 4pm and on here it says 8pm weekdays. Help!
Hello!!! Our hours are updated on our website and Yelp! Sorry for the confusion. On Sunday we close at 4. Monday - Thursday we close at 8pm and Friday’s and Saturdays we close at 10pm.
