Went here for brunch on a Saturday and it was busy both inside and on the patio. If you eat outside, you order at a window. If you are eating inside, you are seated and the you'll have to go to the bar to order your food. It comes out wrapped up on a plate (not what I was expecting). My review this evening is for the Holiday pop up, this is our third year so I think it is now a tradition. We made reservations a little late and chose the time available at 9:00 pm on a Monday evening. I couldn't find the pop-up menu online so I couldn't preview and plan my order ahead of time. There were six of us this visit and both cars found a spot in the back lot, no worries at that time. We were greeted and seated right away, right in the middle of the dining room. Our waiter didn't come over right away, but we all needed to look at the food and drink choices. The decor is fun for the holidays, I loved the vintage santa in the windows and the Christmas tree with all the old-time icicles, nostalgia! For my first drink I chose the Cold Snap, it was delicious! The large ice cube had a candy cane imprinted on it, very impressive. The drink was amaro, scotch, maple, and cedar smoked rosemary, it was very smooth. I ordered marinated olives from the food options, I get them every year. Last years were citrus marinated and I liked them better, there a ton of olives in the order. My second drink was the Santa Suit, also very good but the nod goes to the Cold Snap. Popped in on a Sunday for a last minute brunch. I've had my eye on this restaurant since they opened and it took me forever to fit it in. All the hype and we were just not too crazy about it. Hubby got the eggs and grits - it was good but just not great. I had the egg sandwich and felt the same way. Nothing spectacular. We also shared a biscuit and gravy. It was extremely salty, so we did not eat much of it. My wish was that they had their strawberry pop-tart (sold out) and that I would have tried the biscuit and jam. I was very excited when my friend suggested The Clover & the Bee for a Friday night dinner. I've had it on my list to try, but didn't realize they even served dinner. I love spending money on good food and will pay a premium for a memorable meal, but man, this wasn't it. TLDR: High prices for tiny portions to be left beyond underwhelmed and disappointed. I ordered a chorizo butter oyster to start. I love chorizo and oysters separately, but this was repulsive. I was most looking forward to the spot prawns, and felt misled when it hit the table. Spot prawns are supposed to be large, succulent shrimp. What arrived (for I believe, $16 or $18) were tiny, rubbery and overcooked, pieces of shrimp. Maybe it was a cut up single spot prawn, but this was beyond frustrating for the price paid. Next, I ordered the pasta (don't have the menu online to reference for how it was described). For again, $16 or $18, I received a single ravioli, that while beautiful, was flavorless and lackluster with not enough filling and under al dente pasta. This is a great spot for an outdoor meal. There is inside seating too but we enjoy the patio. The clover is tied to O+O pizza so you can get either your breakfast / lunch fix or lunch / dinner. If you sit outside, claim a table and then send someone to the outdoor order window. They give you a number and will bring it to your table. The patio is on the north side of the building so it's always in the shade and comfortable. There is free parking in the back which is a nice plus since street parking in Webster is hit or miss. I had an excellent brewed coffee . Griffin was tending bar, waiter ,barrista an excellent at all ! The evening was one Red and I will fondly remember for quite some time to come.
