If you haven't been to turn for any kind of meal, especially brunch, you're absolutely missing out. You truly cannot go wrong with anything in this menu. The staff is awesome and very welcoming. They have a variety of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) as well as coffee. I got a latte and it was lovely, smooth and delicious. The biscuit flight is the real deal. It's a variety of biscuits on, you guessed it- a flight, with different accoutrements to accompany the biscuits. These biscuits were insane. My favorite one was a variety that had mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes (more of a savory gal). They're all good in their own special way, and they rotate their flavors. The breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious. This would be my go to when I come back. The flavor of the mix ins with the egg was spectacular. I also tried the avocado toast which I really enjoyed. Who doesn't like avo toast? Bread was fresh and the avocados were ripe. I'm looking forward to going back! read more

This was my first time here while visiting at Louis. This was in the art district area and I wish I had time to walk around before brunch. Turn is real casual and cute and the vinyl wall was pretty dope! The wait time was not too long to be seated. We ordered pineapple mimosas for the table, but after placing our order, our meals took a while and we had to ask about our waiter. I ordered the turn sandwich with a salad and it was delicious!! I believe we both ordered the same sandwich. I believe the menu changes as well for brunch, so I can't recall the exact order, but I know it was very tasty! Overall, once we got our food the experience was great. I would def recommend to go check it out! read more

Sort of a weird location, it was in the same building as a theater. We got there around 9:45 and there was not one other table in the restaurant. While we were eating, it filled up a bit so it seems like it attracts a later crowd. It seemed noisy and very echoey - maybe from the high ceilings. The pancakes were very good, and the biscuit flight was a good idea and they were yummy! Side note: bathrooms were noticeable clean! read more

Enjoyable atmosphere. The music was jammin'. And because I was there early in the day, I got my meal quickly. The pancakes had crispy edges and were fluffy. They weren't too sweet (this is a positive) the compote and syrup add the sugar. The Brussels sprouts were seasoned well and also had a bit of crisp to them. I had enough for a small snack for later. read more

Best brunch I've had in awhile! Turn knows how to do biscuits. Fluffy, slightly crispy exterior, and pairs perfectly with their bacon and eggs to make the best breakfast sandwich (it normally comes on a croissant but I swapped it for the biscuit). The shaved brussel sprouts are flash fried and super light with an incredible flavor. It's easy to eat the entire portion which is generous for a side. My boyfriend had the arepa with chorizo and we agreed that both of our dishes were equally yummy. I've already made a res to return next week. This place is my new favorite brunch treat! read more

Review Refresh! Brunch visit this day and room for me at the Bar. Arrival around Noon and it was packed! Started the visit with the Brown Derby cocktail, Uncle Nearest Bourbon - Honey - Grapefruit, it's got a kick and it's enjoyable! Refreshing finish with the Grapefruit while giving you a bang for the buck with the Bourbon. Meal, Breakfast Burrito - Add Bacon - no Beans - Add fries. Ok, the fries are fresh cuts which is an added bonus and they are seasoned!! The fries are what you need if you are having Brunch Cocktails. They are cooked perfectly and there's an ample amount. The Burrito is fat with eggs and toppings! I left this meal just on the cusp of too full. Lol!! read more

We stopped here for brunch after hearing about it on TikTok. We were immediately greeted and seated. There was not a long wait for our orders to be taken or for the food to come out. There was even a DJ! Nice vibes. We ordered the shrimp and grits and also had banana pudding for dessert. Everything was gourmet and delicious with excellent presentation. You can tell there's a lot of thought and execution put into the dishes. Only critique would be that I like my grits a bit thicker and cheesier, otherwise it was a good time and we will be back. read more

The biscuit flight is such an excellent idea. I would solely go back to have that again. I got an iced mocha as well that was delicious. I got a seasonal sweet potato dish, and other dishes that we got included a burger and chicken and waffles. Service was ok as it was a crowded Sunday morning and it was a little bit noisier of an atmosphere, but not enough to dissuade me from going again. read more

Great breakfast experience with background music that sends me to my happy place. Started with knowledgeable wait staff terrific chai latte followed by Brie BLT that was light flavorful with crisp bacon and fresh greens. I opted for the Brussels sprouts as my side- winner winner winner. So yummy. My friend chose the Arepa. It's a corn cake with an egg and chicken chorizo on top. We both agreed the egg was cooked to perfection, the corn cake while tasty was a bit dry. We also shared one biscuit with gravy. It was absolutely wonderful. Next time I will try their biscuit flight. read more

This was my third time coming to Turn. I enjoy the casual atmosphere and chill vibes. The music is a plus as well. I've only been on the weekend and the crowd has varied each time. I'd def say this is a place for everyone. Food: Everything we've had was great, my favorite is the fries! Check out my pics to see how scrumptious and seasoned they are! On this recent visit, we had the special menu burger and the turkey club. In addition to a mimosa carafe, which is fairly priced at $34 Only rating 4 stars because the menu is a bit limited for my personal preference. Would give 4.5 but other than that, 5 stars all around! Great spot in midtown area and the owner will even walk around to greet and check on patrons. Customer service is stellar. Make a reservation if you think it'll be busy! read more

Looked on the web for "breakfast near SLU baseball field" and Turn came up with a comment that said "best breakfast I've ever had." Piqued our curiosity. And when we walked in to this hip room with GREAT music and were asked if we had a reservation, we knew we'd hit pay dirt -- what brunch places need reservations? This one. The chef was a DJ and restaurateur in San Francisco who returned to St. Louis some years ago. "Turn" is so named because of the display of records on the wall (hall of fame of vinyl!) and the music from the 70s and 80s was, to this former radio announcer, outstanding. So was breakfast. We opted for the Biscuit Sampler -- four biscuits with different flavors including one plain, one buttermilk/leek, one rosemary/thyme, and one lemon poppyseed. Along with it, the Arepa (apparently a crowd favorite); a corn cake with chorizo, eggs, avocado, and chile verde. Two of us split the works. The biscuits were served with butter, marmalade, and honey, and they all totally killed. The Arepe was unique and fabulous. As a bonus, the server was super good and super helpful, and the owner even stopped by to talk music. Fun, eclectic, diverse crowd, a funky room, and a great brunch. And certainly up there among the best breakfasts we've ever had. Lovely surprise. read more

Came here on a snowy mid morning for a late breakfast! The entrance is through what seems to be a theater. Once inside it is a big open space with a cool wall with different album pictures. The service was friendly and quick. They have a changing daily menu in addition to their regular menu which is nice if you want to try something different. We ordered the Turn Breakfast with 2 eggs over medium, biscuit and chicken sausage. My daughter ordered the same but with scrambled eggs, sourdough bread and instead of the meat she asked for a pancake which they kindly accommodated without a problem. Everything about this plate was great except for the chicken sausage. Don't know how to describe why the taste was just not good but I didn't end up eating it. For drinks we ordered an iced oat milk Chai with a pump of vanilla and that was very tasty! read more

I have been to turn about 3-4 times for brunch so I am shocked I haven't written a review yet. This restaurant is amazing as is its owner. Went here most recently for brunch before going to the aquarium. Ordered chicken and waffles for my meal along with some coffee. Food was excellent. The restaurant is super cool, it has records on the wall which are cool to look at and talk about. I am also on a board of a non profit and the owner was very generous in giving us a donation for our auction. Only complaint is that they are only open for breakfast/brunch right now. I would love to get dinner here sometime. read more

I will never stop raving about Turn! This is easily one of my top favorite restaurants in St. Louis for a variety of reasons. I've eaten at Turn almost ten times now, and each visit has been its own unique, positive experience. It's truly the little things that make Turn such a special place. The attention to detail for both their food and service is impeccable. I always see the same employees working when I visit, which tells me that they are treated well and have a low turnover rate. Employees are always very personable and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant is trendy and minimalistic. Such a nice ambience! The owner is absolutely incredible. I love his story and background, and even better, I love how he has incorporated his music and culinary past into his restaurant. On a side note, Turn's website is very aesthetically pleasing and perfectly represents the owner's DJ background. Every single time I have eaten here, the owner has taken the time to visit each table and express his gratitude to guests. Additionally, I always see him lending a hand wherever he can. Whether he's in the back cooking or in the front polishing silverware, he demonstrates true, admirable leadership. I can tell he genuinely loves what he does. Turn's menu is truly like no other! They have a seasonal menu that rotates regularly, as well as a regular menu. I usually get their seasonal pancakes. The first time I visited, I ordered Strawberry Rhubarb Pancakes, and I was blown away by the flavor and quality! During my most recent visit, I ordered Raspberry Lemon Pancakes. You seriously can't go wrong with whatever seasonal pancakes they're serving! I also highly recommend their Biscuit Flight. It's absolutely perfect for sharing, and the biscuit flavors rotate regularly, too. Easily the best biscuits I've ever had! Their level of freshness and flavor is hard to find anywhere else. Turn even puts their own special spin on French Toast, a common breakfast food. Considering the quality of ingredients and the uniqueness of the menu, everything is very reasonably priced. This place is a hidden gem, and I can't say enough good things about it! read more

I had a delicious brunch at Turn last week and keep thinking about how I need to go back ASAP! Once my friend and I arrived, we were seated at a table and water was brought over to our table right away. We also ordered some juice and coffee and the flight of biscuits. Our server(s) were all very attentive and friendly. The service was quick and I know that our order was fresh since it was made to order and took a little bit of time to make the biscuits and get our meals out to us. The breakfast sandwich was amazing and tasted better with every bite I took! The side salad had yummy dried fruit and the dressing was just perfection. I would order that again! The biscuits with the butter, jam and honey were all as good as expected and I cannot wait to go back to try the banana biscuit again - it was the best! Of course, I could not eat everything, so I asked for a box. We paid our bills and made it out all within an hour. This is an excellent spot for brunch or lunch if you are in the area and you will not be disappointed. They have street parking and there is a paid lot across the street. But walking from campus is easy to do too, which is what I did! read more

How is Turn not packed every weekend? Service is consistently amazing. Our server is usually a younger guy w glasses and he always shares cool tidbits about the food. This time we had a newer server Jordyn, who was also amazing. She remembered the specials by heart even though they were out of paper menus, which wouldn't have been a huge feat at face value except she was able to answer our kinda particular omnivore questions even though she hasn't tasted some of the dishes w meat. Also super friendly and made great recommendations and double checked everything was cooked to perfection. Visited St Louis this past weekend + I'm so glad we made it into Turn! We made a reservation, but on this morning it wasn't really necessary as the restaurant wasn't very busy; at least not when we arrived. But it did pick up during our time there. We were seated right away + greeted by our server almost immediately. She was very polite. The restaurant had a nice vibe + played really good music. I loved the wall that was decorated with the albums. The owner was going around and greeting all of the tables; he seemed to have known a lot of the patrons which I thought was really cool. They had their regular menu as well as a menu with some specials. What we ordered: - Huckleberry Fizz (cocktail) - Hazelnut latte with oat milk - Breakfast sandwich with duck breast + brussel sprouts - Turn breakfast with a side of french toast - Monte Cristo sandwich (special menu) We were all very satisfied! The latte was made perfectly + the huckleberry fizz had a nice flavor + balance to it. The duck breast on the breakfast sandwich was juicy + delicious + the Brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy. I really enjoyed the Monte Cristo sandwich. It came on like a French toast type of bread + when you dip it in the strawberry jam that comes on the side, it tasted like heaven!! 10/10 recommend that dish specifically. I didn't try the turn breakfast but my brother said it was all very good. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Turn. It was a great experience all the way around + I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town! read more

Nice breakfast spot! Restaurant is on the smaller side but has a modern feel. Menu has breakfast and lunch options with some seasonal flavors incorporated. For this meal, we went with the Avocado toast and LEO (I am a sucker for smoked salmon!). Both were very tasty and balanced flavors between the capers and dill on the LEO and the pickled radishes and tomatoes on the avocado toast. At first glance, the dishes may seem on the small side but I found the LEO to be very satisfying. We will definitely be back and next time have enough people to justify trying the biscuit flight! read more

In the heart of midtown and located in a larger industrial building, it's easy to miss at first glance. Turn was bright and airy with many windows and street views. The service was great and quick, especially considering there were two other large parties seated around the same time as us. Brunch food was delicious. I love biscuits and their flight of four were wonderful! Pancakes were perfect. The little mixed green salad with the Turn Breakfast was surprisingly delicious and simple apricot citrus dressing had a light brightness. Turn is a super underrated brunch spot. They have mimosas, cocktails, breakfast food, lunch food, and plenty of options for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. What's not to like? All I can think of is that the vibe is held back somewhat given it's "conference space" environment due to its location adjacent to .zack. Nevertheless, I've only enjoyed the food, particularly the biscuit flights (4 full sized biscuits!), and the bright atmosphere afforded by the wall of windows. read more

I recommended this place to a friend visiting and everyone enjoyed it. We got in pretty quickly with our reservation. Turn never disappoints whenever I'm here. I tried the Arepa with chicken chorizo this time. It wasn't to my liking, but overall it was very filling and flavorful. It was almost like a deconstructed traditional arepa.
