This was a really interesting restaurant and absolutely perfect for a work day lunch with friends. Counter service moves quickly and it was easy to find a table when we arrived at 11:30 on a Thursday, but there was a line out the door before we finished our meal. I had checked online and was concerned about portion size, but the meals were perfectly portioned. I got the chicken enchilada bowl and it was very yummy. It was a little spicier than I was expecting and the "sauce" was almost a queso, but it was incredibly fresh and light and I didn't finish it. A friend ordered sweet potato fries and a lemon cupcake for us th split. The fries were jus barely overcooked so they kept sticking to my teeth, but the dilly-heavy ranch sauce was divine and went perfectly with the sweet fries. The lemon cupcake was super moist and delicious. I wish I had paid more attention and gotten infused water from the entry instead of the plain water from the dispenser. WOW! I wish we didn't inhale our food before I got a picture. Met up with my dad, stepmom, grandma, brother along with my husband and daughter. My dad is the only vegan one and it's hard to find places where he can have a good amount of choices. Found this place just googling and so happy we stumbled upon it! I feel it's more vegan/vegetarian based but has plenty of meat options as well! The atmosphere was so adorable and "boujee". We loved loved loved everything about this establishment. The sweet potatoes fried came out lukewarm and kind of soggy. The kale salad was chewy and one-note, heavily coated in dressing. I came on a Saturday night. The parking lot was full, but places near the front door opened up. The people behind the counter are friendly and helpful, and certainly would help you make a choice of entree if you asked! It was a beautiful day, so there were several parties sitting out on the cute patio, but we chose to sit inside. Our entrees came out pretty quickly, and looked great. We asked a food runner if she could take a picture of our group, and she took only good pics. Ive never had a less than awesome experience here, and today was no different. I will say, the price was a little on the higher end, but the staff was incredibly kind and efficient. One dish came out a bit faster than the other, but they were super sweet about it. The Bang Bang Beef was definitely the crowd favorite, and it's easy to see why. Very interesting restaurant. Right away when we entered, a guy asked us if we are dining in, and he assigned us a number and put said number on a table for us. We ordered at the counter and headed to the table he chose for us. The food potions are small, but very well seasoned and delicious. I guess they did say they are a health forward restaurant. First let me call out the team at Flower Child for their continued awesome level of service. I have a delightful experience every time I come by and I'm in there almost every week at some point for lunch or dinner. Food quality is always on point too. I was feeling cheesy, so I got the Mac and cheese and the cauliflower risotto. Strange combination, but I'm glad I got to try them. If I was still doing keto/low carb I would have loved the risotto, but next to the mac and cheese, M&C was the best. Wow, it's like an addiction at this point.. I can't stay away. My go to is the steak entree with the smashed gold potato and sweet corn & quinoa. Occasionally, I'll get the chicken entree with the same sides. Or their famous avocado Caesar - this dressing is to die for! I've tried the kung POW cauliflower, gluten free Mac and cheese, red chili glazed sweet potato, roasted broccoli, and sweet potato fries (get extra of their house made yogurt ranch)! Cute decor and a health consideration menu that feels indulgent while hitting all of your macro goals! You order your meal at the register, take a number, and find your seat. The menu focuses on whole foods and had plenty of vegan and gluten-free offerings (important to my friends!) The service is counter service and then the staff bring out the food to you. They offer a variety of salads, bowls, wraps, and entrees. I've heard great things about this place and decided to check it out. I came around 12 for lunch and it wasn't overly crowded but steady. The staff is so nice and friendly and could tell we were new. I wanted to try their lemonade but once I saw the sangria, i had to give it a try. They give you a number and you seat yourself. The tables are close to each other but still a cool environment for lunch. Since this was our first time coming, I didn't know you could grab your napkins and utensils by the drink station but the staff grabbed these items for me after handing me my food. The avocado caesar salad with chicken added was really good. I enjoyed the avocado dressing that came with it. I can't recall what my friend ordered but she said it was really good too. Both people at the register were diligent to note my allergies on my order and provide me an allergen menu. This is a cute looking restaurant, a part of the Cheesecake Factory group. Menu has a lot of variety and healthy options. You order at the front counter, get a number for your table and then are directed to get your water, napkins and tableware. We tried a couple of different dishes and liked everything. Food came out quickly and seemed pretty fresh. The wrap felt cold all the way through, so I suspect they are premade. The kung pow cauliflower had an odd sweet taste to it that reminded us of boxed cake mix. Maybe they share a sweetener? Such a healthy and aesthetic place! I went for dinner time and it was busy with a limited amount of open parking spaces. The Mother Earth with grilled chicken was so good! Definitely a healthy meal! I love that STL has a Flower Child. We have 2 of them in Scottsdale, but I didn't frequent them in AZ. It has the same bright and airy aesthetic, and employees have been helpful and pleasant. Favorites: Ginger Miso Crunch Salad - (vegan and gf). I add avocado. It's the perfect light and healthy meal for those of us on a clean-eating cleanse. Vegetarian Plate - You can choose 3 sides for this entree. I always choose the Cauliflower Risotto (omitting the breadcrumbs to make it gluten free) and the Yuzu Brussels Sprouts. Both dishes are phenomenal. The third option varies. Sometimes I'll add the Red Chili Glazed Sweet Potatoes. They are good, but not like "gotta have it" good. Other times I'll opt for the Roasted Broccoli (omitting the parmesan to make it vegan; omit breadcrumbs to make it gf as well). I do love the roasted broccoli. The Kung Pao Cauliflower was just ok, in my opinion. I do want to try more of their salad offerings and some of the bowls. My problem is that I'm so happy with what I typically order than I am hesitant to try the other things. Be sure to get their app so that you can earn rewards and money off future orders. Recently moved back to St.Louis from Texas where they have Flower Child and I was so excited to see it move here! The food is fresh and has great flavor. Love a healthy meal that tastes good too! I had the forbidden rice bowl and really love it! Lord of options for non-meat eaters as well! I love the restaurant too. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors for warmer days. I will note this location gets pretty busy. I've been a couple times now, once ordering in the restaurant and once ordering online. Depending on the day of the week, it may be a bit longer of a wait. I've had it a few times now, and even though some items haven't been my fave, they have so many options that even the pickiest eater is bound to find something they like on the menu. On this trip I tried the Rebel wrap, which is their take on a French Dip. The horseradish was a bit overpowering for me, but the steak was delicious and I really like the wraps they use. The sweet potato fries were a little dry as well- I think I'll just stick to their veggies next visit, as the Kung POW Cauliflower and Roasted Broccoli are really tasty. I also love their mac & cheese, but my partner wasn't a fan. He did enjoy his Mother Earth bowl quite a lot. I hadn't dined in before, so it was nice to see their space. My husband and I went on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 for lunch. Our first visit. As you walk in the door, there is a small table with fruit infused water to tantalize your tastebuds. The place is decorated nicely, like a French Cafe, my guess. You are greeted at the ordering counter. I said it was our first time, asking what she could recommend. She pointed to the menu and said that any of the items are good. I expected questions of our likes/dislikes from the frontline person to help us make a choice. I ordered the Mother Earth bowl with tofu and my husband ordered one of the chicken wraps. My order came out first. What a beautiful bowl of goodness! The aroma was lovely: nutty, tart, green -all in one. Whole grains like wheat berries and quinoa, dressed arugula, sliced grilled tofu, shiitake mushrooms, sweet potato with a chipotle style sauce. Topped with half an avocado. Oh my! When I bit into the grains the flavors just popped all over my taste buds like salty, beefy little dancing orbs of flavor. I tasted each section of the ingredients lining the bowl. The flavors just kept building upon the last. To the embarrassment of my poor husband, my eyes kept popping wider and wider and the mmmm's getting louder. I could not help myself! The sauces and dressings for each section were flavorful, mildly spicy, and well-balanced with the rest of the ingredients. I ate half and saved the rest for later. I wanted to eat it all, but knew my aging body could only take so much excitement in one meal. I have one con. It took a good 10 minutes for my husband to receive his order after I was served. As with any customer experience in a restaurant, all guests should be served at the same time. In their defense, however, they did come out with free muffins and an apology to compensate for the wait. Well done! Just a note: when speaking to elderly people, please speak a tad slower so they can process what you are saying. We had a great experience at Flower Child. I will return for sure! Clean, medern aesthetic and an absolutely mouth-watering menu. My only problem was choosing from a ton of healthy options. I ordered the avocado caesar salad with salmon. It was filling and had the perfect ratio of dressing. I also ordered the iced green tea with Macha, which was very refreshing. I was impressed with Flower Child from start to end, we entered and were able to grab a cup of cold fruit water (perfect on the hot day that it was), and then we sipped on our waters while we waited in line to order. The line was long but went by pretty quickly! They have indoor and outdoor seating and the overall restaurant atmosphere is sooo lovely. My friend got the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl, so good and great flavors, very fresh. Great food but the take out process is a disaster. They prioritize the walk in orders over carry out. I arrived 10 minutes early for my carry out order and still waited over 40 minutes. The food is terrific! But the setup is different. It was super crowded on a Saturday. The line was out the door. There was no place to check in for a table and there weren't separate lines for eat in and carry out. I got there first and didn't want to order before my friend got there. I saw an empty table so I sat down to wait. I was nicely told by one of the workers who was carrying around table numbers that I needed to be assigned a table number first. It was unclear when or how to get assigned a number, maybe when you order? Although the line moved pretty quickly it kept growing so when my friend arrived I ended up ordering online. Then I had to ask for a table. I wish they had clear signage or some way to inform about the process. I had the flying avocado turkey wrap which was fresh and delicious, although I didn't taste any avocado. Also ordered the green chili queso with chips which was great. I placed another order to go to take the Cajun shrimp boil home for dinner. It was good, too, although I should have had the hot dish for lunch and taken home the cold wrap.
