Have ordered here twice dairy free and the food is like a gourmet home cooked meal. Lovely food. Will keep ordering from here.

I asked for no cucumber, but there were a lot of cucumbers in my salad. I have an allergy to cucumber, so I had to throw the salad away. I tried to call, but the store was already closed. I'm very disappointed. read more

Is this my new favorite spot for clean eating in STL?? Maybe!! I was impressed with Flower Child from start to end, we entered and were able to grab a cup of cold fruit water (perfect on the hot day that it was), and then we sipped on our waters while we waited in line to order. The line was long but went by pretty quickly! They have indoor and outdoor seating and the overall restaurant atmosphere is sooo lovely. My friend got the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl, so good and great flavors, very fresh. I got the Mediterranean Chicken Kabob Bowl - absolutely loved it and hoping to recreate it at home myself (it probably won't be as good). They also had Yellowbird hot sauces available to add to your dishes. Can't wait to come back, there's so many other dishes on the menu I can't wait to try! read more

The food is terrific! But the setup is different. It was super crowded on a Saturday. The line was out the door. There was no place to check in for a table and there weren't separate lines for eat in and carry out. I got there first and didn't want to order before my friend got there. I saw an empty table so I sat down to wait. I was nicely told by one of the workers who was carrying around table numbers that I needed to be assigned a table number first. It was unclear when or how to get assigned a number, maybe when you order? Although the line moved pretty quickly it kept growing so when my friend arrived I ended up ordering online. Then I had to ask for a table. I wish they had clear signage or some way to inform about the process. I had the flying avocado turkey wrap which was fresh and delicious, although I didn't taste any avocado. Also ordered the green chili queso with chips which was great. I placed another order to go to take the Cajun shrimp boil home for dinner. It was good, too, although I should have had the hot dish for lunch and taken home the cold wrap. I'd like to try the avocado toast. Next time I will stand in line and order. read more

Flower Child is so charming! From the colorful outside decor to the aesthetic detailed touches, it definitely catches the eye. I came for lunch on a Wednesday and it was packed! They asked us to wait a couple of minutes so we'd have a spot to eat. This is super appreciated and I appreciated the structure. Staff made small talk with us while we were waiting and were super personable. We ordered and I got the Mediterranean chicken kabob. Anytime there is anything Mediterranean on a menu I'm all about it. The bowl itself was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly and I really loved the yogurt sauce. Ingredients were fresh and prepped well. The portion sizes were a bit smaller than what I was expecting for $16, but the quality of the food is great. I will come back for sure. I have my eye on some of the wraps! read more

Food here is just outstanding and the good value too! With so many tasty options it was hard to decide but I settled on the Mother Earth bowl and added on the tofu for my protein. It was delish from first to last bite. The colors and textures were blended perfectly. So nice to have this healthy option on the restaurant scene in our city of meat and fried things. read more

The chicken yakisoba is fantastic!!! My mom even likes it and she doesn't like some of the noodles I eat. The service is very nice. I visited on a Wednesday at lunch time, and it was so packed! When it was our turn to order at the counter, the staff members asked us to wait for a little bit for some tables to open up, which I didn't mind! They were very friendly and chatted with us while we waited. They have so many delicious menu options. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to try because everything sounded so good. I wish I could try the whole menu! I ended up getting the Mother Earth bowl with no mushrooms. While I personally don't have any food allergies, I appreciate how they asked if my "no mushrooms" was due to an allergy or preference. My bowl came with ancient grains, sweet potato, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onion, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, and hemp seed. I also added chicken for an additional $5.25. Considering the price, the portion was on the smaller side, but I know the ingredients are super fresh and high quality! As someone who is obsessed with pesto, their broccoli pesto seriously hit the spot. read more

What a fun restaurant! Healthy food, and an absolute delight of your senses. The decorations are fun and whimsical they make you feel like you are stepping into a secret garden. I love the variety of vegetarian food and a perfect place to grab health food! I can't believe I hadn't heard about this place and now it's one of my go to's! It's unassuming and tucked away, which I believe is even more part of its charm. read more

You order at the counter then they give you a number that you display at your table then they bring you your food. We were greeted by a very friendly lady wanting to take our order. They have a great variety of healthy food choices. I ordered the Flying Avocado Wrap. The wrap contains roasted turkey, gouda cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato and avocado hummus. The generous portion of romaine lettuce was served on the side. The wrap is a great combination of fresh ingredients that taste great together and is very filling. Very clean restaurant that has a happy vibe. read more

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted immediately and asked if I needed help deciding what to order. You order at a counter and have the option to eat in or take your food to go. There is a wide variety on the menu, from salads, to bowls, to actual entrees and desserts. There is quite a bit of open seating, and the decor is very aesthetically pleasing. Since I ordered in, my food was brought to my table, and again, the server was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. My meal was delicious, but the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because my food was partially cold. The time between when I ordered and when I received my food was relatively quick, within 5 minutes, so I wasn't expecting it to be cold. Aside from the temperature, everything was delicious. I ordered an entree with steak, roasted broccoli, and gluten free Mac and cheese. I also ordered the lemon olive oil cake and it was SO GOOD! Overall, great experience minus the temperature of the food. read more

First time trying out this place and definitely will be returning back. We definitely did not expect the place to be busy on a Monday night. The inside felt warm and inviting with the bright colors and simple floral decorations on each of the tables. Menu variety for different dietary restrictions including vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, dairy free, and pescatarian. Tried out the salmon entree with the kale salad and gluten free Mac and cheese. This place has several drink options including sangria and wine. Another restaurant option found when looking for another take out option when cooking is not possible. read more

In my opinion, it really doesn't get much better than this! The food is healthy and delicious. There are great options for people with food allergies, vegan, and vegetarian. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is airy and open and well styled. It made me sad that I don't have one closer to where I live. #Goals! The prices are very affordable for high-quality food, and if you eat at the restaurant, the team comes and cleans off your table afterwards. If the whole tipping thing bothers you no tip is requested or asked for. read more

Great food but the take out process is a disaster. They prioritize the walk in orders over carry out. I arrived 10 minutes early for my carry out order and still waited over 40 minutes. Customers who walked in and ordered we're finished with their meal and I still was waiting for mine that I ordered online. The process doesn't seem to make sense. read more

My daughter and I went here to grab dinner. There was a small group inside eating, several people waiting for curbside pickup and several people either ordering take out or picking up online orders. We figured this must be the spot! Upon entering they have a water station with infused water to stay hydrated. After several minutes we finally narrowed down our selections. My daughter ordered the Forbidden rice bowl with tofu and shrimp. I ordered the Chopped vegetable salad with chicken. Oh my goodness - I loved my salad and miso ginger dressing. Everything was full of flavor and delicious. My daughter enjoyed her bowl as well. Very well seasoned. The best part is it was all healthy! They have some delicious sounding desserts but we didn't try anything this time. It's a very cute place. Go grab a meal some time and give them a try. I'm glad we did. We will have to go back soon! Plenty of parking and right off the highway. read more

Quaint little place in Frontenac. A fast casual place to go to for vegan and gluten free items. A variety of salads, bowls, wraps and proteins as well as some drinks. Indoor seating is small, but there is also seating on the patio with umbrellas for shade on a sunny day. Friendly employees take your order and bring you your food. (Honestly thought this was more of a sit down restaurant). The girl who took my order was patient with all my questions! Food was fresh (however ran out of sweet potatoes which I was looking forward to). Fast service as well didn't wait long for our food. Sangrias were excellent! Nice place to catch up with a a friend with a long conversation. Note, they do have online ordering for a grab and go. read more

Flower Child is located in the old Panera Bread location by the Frontenac mall. I love the mural painted on the front of the building! The inside of the restaurant is like an upscale cafe and they have a beautiful patio with umbrellas and nice plants. We ordered our food to go. We got the mother earth bowl with salmon and the chicken yakisoba noodles. Both menu items were very impressive - healthy food that has been seasoned well and tastes really good! That is not an easy thing to do. I loved the ancient grains, sweet potatoes, and portabella mushrooms on the mother earth bowl. I've never had such plump and soft grains. The sweet potatoes had a nice chargrilled flavor on them. The mushrooms were huge and cooked perfectly. My only slight critique was the salmon was cooked well done and was quite dry. It could've used some more seasoning as well. It tasted quite a bit better when paired with the broccoli pesto, but next time, I think I'll choose a different protein. The highlight on the yakisoba noodles was the chicken thighs. They were so moist and cooked perfectly! We also tried the chocolate chip cashew cookie and lemon olive oil cake for dessert. My husband loved the cookie, but I did not. It was super crunchy and kinda dry. It also had a very strong coconut taste - the name of the cookie really should include coconut in the title because it was that strong. I'm not a huge fan of coconut. It had more coconut flavor than chocolate. The lemon olive oil cake was excellent! The cake was ridiculously moist, the perfect amount of lemon flavor, and very sweet (in a good way). read more

Flower Child is the place go when we want to eat clean and feel like we are taking care of ourselves. It's open seating makes it easy to sit where you want. My favorite menu item is the Caesar salad with salmon as my protein. The lettuce is always fresh and crunchy and the salmon is delicious. Not sure if it's wild caught. The big windows let in a lot of light giving Flower Child a bright aura. The staff are always really nice. The food is brought to the table rather quickly. I also love their hummus, both the regular and the avocado hummus. It has a freshly made taste. The soft warm pita that comes with the hummus is very thin, which my wife likes due to them having fewer carbs. My wife always get a pasta plate she likes, as a carry out. She never lets me taste it after we get home so it is very very good. For a healthy whole food option, check them out. They are newer to St Louis, maybe 3-4 years in the area. read more

Flying avocado wrap is fantastic! My husband loved the Mac & cheese. We got it delivered and it was still fresh. Husband was still hungry after his steak entree though & wished he had more of it lol. We go to Flower Child almost every week. We love the Italian Turkey Salami salad they have currently. My husband gets the Mediterranean Chicken Kabob bowl almost every time. For January we got a Free Avocado Hummas, which we hadn't tried befor2. It was so smooth & yummy! Parking is easy, at the Saks end of Plaza Frontenac. If you want some delicious healthy food, this is the place to go. Fast, friendly and good. I would recommend reviewing the menu ahead of time. It's a bit overwhelming with so many choices and mix and match opens. The one part I don't like is not seeing pics of the food or knowing exactly what it's going to be like. I mean kale can come out in many forms!! lol I chose to let the counter person help me. I said I love salmon, kale and sweet potatoes. We decided the meal (rather than a bowl or salad) was the way to go. The only problem with that is it doesn't mean they always all go together taste wise. It's a chance you take so I had a very light lemony kale side salad, a very Asian inspired, sweet potato chunks and plain salmon. Would you normally have all those together maybe not but it worked . I tried their sangria which was light and refreshing. They were quick to bring out our food if there's several of you dining together, but paying separately at the counter, make sure you let them know so you all have the same table number once you order and pay grab your silverware drinks And napkins, and find a seat I was thrown off because there was a bunch of people waiting, but there were a lot of open tables it's a hotspot to get food to go so people are waiting for their orders. The restaurant is clean pretty and they clear the tables quickly. Little on the pricey side, but I love that I can customize and get what I want and I know that I'm eating healthy food. Definitely give it a try. I walked away, satisfied and full, but not overstuffed as you can with many restaurants. It was a really hot night, but they do have a nice outdoor patio. read more

This place is such a neat little find here in the Clayton area! I know this is a chain restaurant but it feels like a very unique and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a great lunch/brunch spot. Also, the taste and flavor of the food was impeccable! The food is not only healthy but taste fantastic and was presented so nicely. Only minor complaint is the portions could be a bit more for my liking but are definitely still able to satisfy an eager appetite. read more

Had eaten at Flower Child at two other cities and was thrilled when it opened here. At first the food was outstanding and the as getting healthy takeout at least once a week. Disappointed, but made better. We have totally fallen in LOVE with the Miso Ginger Crunch salad. This time we both added salmon. What we found disappointing was that it was NOT tossed with dressing. Ok, we understand the idea of becoming wilted or saggy as we were told, but to avert future disappointments, I have a simple idea for you Flower Child. Simply add an option for 'tossed' or 'not tossed' for your salads on the online ordering. I am certain that others also found the salads not as good as when eaten in. Yes, I now realized that I could have asked to have it tossed in the Special Instructions and will do so in the future when I will be eating right away. Or, have a button to check and that would resolve this simple issue.... At least for me when I forget to tell you to mix it with that delicious dressing. By the way, the salmon is also really good and I like it better than the tofu option. We hope you open more restaurants around Florida as we are moving there. Also, your staff are ALL incredible! You have trained them well and they are super nice! Great job in that department too. The whole Flower Child concept is really great!!! read more

I enjoyed my first visit here. I would consider this a casual self-serve restaurant. We got there at 5:30, right before the rush. Waited in line for maybe a minute and ordered at the counter. Staff was very friendly. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken kabob and a glass of wine. You receive the wine at the time of ordering. The chicken kabob meal was really good. It was fresh and the perfect amount of food. I will definitely be ordering this again! They give you a number placard to take to your table. My friend ordered separately, but we were put under the same number. I would have thought they would have brought our dishes out together. This is my third or fourth time at Flower Child, and it never disappoints. Don't be intimidated by the large parking lot--there's always a spot.
