    Roasted Potatoes

Fresh & Chill is not on the main drag, it's kind of hidden behind Petsmart, but it is worth seeking out. My friend had already been and knew that I would like it and invited me to meet there for lunch. Before going, I visited their website and when I saw they had, Lamb and Waffle, I knew what I was ordering. The L&W came with 3 chops, one waffle cut in quarters and my choice of a side. My friend already told me that the potatoes were done in house. They were diced and still had the skins on. I like it when the skins are left on. My chops were prepared to a perfect medium rare. The service was fantastic and the portions were plentiful. I had so much of the potatoes leftover, I enjoyed them for my breakfast the next day. I may live in IL, but I will definitely be back to enjoy more of their extensive menu.

Bacon IS finger food. Fight me. I love this spot so much, the only way it could be better is if I could walk there everyday! Today was my second visit, portions are very generous! Service is amazing and the ambiance, per the name is "Chill" I can't wait to eat my way through the menu, but for the time being, my favorite is the breakfast pizza. It was everything I wanted, and I had leftovers! The croquettes are filled with delightful potato goodness and I also recommend the fresh juices! They just recently got their liquor license, so brunch cocktails are coming soon! I also recommend asking for the salsa picante if you like spicy, it's an excellent add to literally anything.

I've never seen a sandwich choice like this before, he liked it & it kept him full for the rest of the day. I had the Reuben, the meat was so tasty & I loved how it was sliced up! They used the right marble bread & didn't overload it with dressing. The restaurant was clean, not really big inside, I did notice in one of my pics a sign saying patio.

I ordered a Chicago dog as well and decided to skip sides this time. The burger might be my new favorite in town. I am a Carl's smash burger fan but the 2 parties on Vinnie's burger were perfectly smashed with crusty edges and a perfect dollop of cheddar on top. Perfectly seasoned, it was hamburger perfection. The dog was great as well with a very nice Giardiniera. I prefer Woofie's Chicago dog but this is a close second. I can't wait to return for the hot beef sandwich! Vinnie has quite the personality and is another reason I enjoyed this place so much.

One of the only places open on a 10 degree snow day. #1 Joe Fassi Combo Sandwich brought a tear to my eye with the first bite. It was so fresh and delicious that I did not want to set the sandwich down between bites. My wife had the meatball sandwich, which was hot, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The owner Tom made it feel like we had our own personal chef taking care of us on our lunch date. The setting was a fun Classic St Louis Style Deli on The Hill. Feels like home and a visit to another country all in the same meal. Top 5 favorite Deli's on The Hill.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating to adding or removing ingredients from sandwiches. I had Joes Italian Kicker with the homemade artichoke salad. The artichoke salad was so good. The dressing was sweet but not overly so. I am not a fan of sweet Italian so for me to actually like this item kind of amazed me but it truly was good. I did not get the tomato sauce on my sandwich, and it was far from what I had convinced myself it was supposed to be lol. I am not a fan of brats and sausages and such but I do like salami. I convinced myself that it was going to be sliced garlic and red wine salami and well that wasn't what I got but I do like to try different things so I wasn't disappointed. The sausage was amazing. So flavorful and enjoyable... again a surprise because as I said, I am not a fan of this type of sausage. Now the giardeneria, it is delicious but it says hot for a reason. It was a little too hot for me but once I removed a bit I could grab little bites with my sandwich and it was less of a mouth burning experience. The cheese and cheese garlic bread the sandwich comes with is absolutely a flavor bonus. overall this was a great meal and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Now my dining partner got meatballs and pasta salad. While she wasn't a fan of the meatballs to the point where she raves, she did say they were good just not great! However she did very much like the pasta salad. She only wished there had been less black olives. Lastly, we did ask for to go boxes for our salad Because the portion was extremely generous and we couldn't eat all of either... we started to get up to go get the containers and a staff member saw us rising and took care of getting the containers for us which was very sweet. I would like to say that a lidded bowl would be better for salads because all the dressing leaked out of the styrofoam box but that was really the only disappointment.

I really liked the decor and the cool vibe. We ordered the spicy chicken katsu Sando and it was delicious. The meat was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Sando came with the side of fries. We got the togarashi fries and they were so addicting. Fries were not as crispy but very well seasoned and went perfect with the aioli sauce. We also tried the pork katsu rice bowl. I didn't like the sauce as much as the chicken Sando but it was still pretty good. I liked that the rice was well-cooked. You must try their ice cream. I would have come just for it alone. They have a good variety of flavors. My favorite was the miso taro and the yuzu caramel. The staff were very nice to us and the food came out quick. Highly recommend you guys checking this place out.

Clean restrooms and friendly staff, very important to me and this place has both! Owner or manager greeted us upon arrival and asked if we had been in before or needed any suggestions from the menu. I asked about the ice cream choices and considered saving room despite the cold outside...but sadly missed out and didn't get any at the end. Bf got the regular chicken katsu bowl and I went with the pork tonkatsu sando. Similar flavors but just depends on if you like using your hands or working with a fork. Feel like he got the right choice (but you miss out on bread if you go with the bowl) I think our favorite part was the fries, great seasoning and perfectly crisp outside.
