Huge bar with a view of the big screen!

What an awesome place! Somewhere between a chill neighborhood bar and a vibe, Fresh & Chill is That Place that you will want to go back to again and again. If for no other reason than to work your way through the Puerto Rican, Dominican and Central American influenced menu! This menu is incredible! It has so many of the Caribbean comforts that just aren't available most places in St. Louis. I went conservative and just got the arepas and some charro beans. Both were amazing! And the service! The owner himself was working behind the bar and greeted me immediately. Everyone was super friendly and gracious. I was just picking up a to go order, but I sat down and talked with everybody because I felt so welcome. It was like being at your Tia's beautiful, fancy home. They even have a patio! Now that will be a fun place to hang out when it warms up. Just go. Experience something different. Enjoy yourself. And eat some good food. I'm already planning my next visit.

Bacon IS finger food. Fight me. I love this spot so much, the only way it could be better is if I could walk there everyday! Today was my second visit, portions are very generous! Service is amazing and the ambiance, per the name is "Chill" I can't wait to eat my way through the menu, but for the time being, my favorite is the breakfast pizza. It was everything I wanted, and I had leftovers! The croquettes are filled with delightful potato goodness and I also recommend the fresh juices! They just recently got their liquor license, so brunch cocktails are coming soon! I also recommend asking for the salsa picante if you like spicy, it's an excellent add to literally anything.

Great service. Location is tucked behind the Office Max and El Maguey. Super spacious building. I'm not sure where they source their eggs from but they taste farm fresh, as in these are the best tasting eggs I've had in a while. Lamb and waffles was a welcome departure from the usual chicken and waffles you can get everywhere. Tender chops and fluffy waffle. A lovely fruit salad came with my PB&j pancakes.

Go in on the Byrd and Barrel side of Tamm Ave Bar and place your order at the counter, get a table number and find a seat in one of the rooms. You can order drinks from the bar, but I just had water. I usually go for the Nugz but this time wanted to stay away from fried options so I got the STL salad, minus cheese and the summer sandwich also without cheese, cause I am a weirdo about cheese. We sat in the next room over at a high-top table. Our food was delivered in a timely manner by a friendly server. The STL salad was great, lots of peppadews, tomatoes, and onion. The dressing was just right, not too much and had a bright, vinegary flavor. The sandwich came on a brioche bun and it was so soft! I was happy with the sandwich, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the avocado ranch was good. Great for a late Sunday lunch, quick and easy with good service and great food!

I was pretty hungry so I got a small Caesar and some chicken nuggets. The Caesar was good but unfortunately had too much dressing! Also, it tasted more ranch like than Caesar, but the croutons were good! As for the nuggets, wow! They blew me away by how fresh they were. Everything about them tasted so good! If I had known they would be that large, I would have prepared myself. They're pretty filling, so I was only able to eat a few. Overall, I enjoyed the nuggets more than the salad and next time, I want to try the Brussel sprouts.

Ordered the porchetta with his house made Schiacciata bread. The sandwich itself reminded me of a modern version of porchetta and a bit different than other places I've had it as a sandwich. I will say that it was delicious and a very good size for the price of the sandwich. I did like his house made bread and his Italian salsa verde was on point too. No ambiance to this place at all. Was a tiny lil corner store turned into this lil deli and judging by the foot traffic while I was waiting, most are stopping in to grab a sandwich to go. Only a few small bar seats in the place and a couple of picnic tables outside. Definitely worth the visit and I could see this place really doing great if managed properly. I would go back for that porchetta!

It's an old-looking sandwich joint on the Hill. Very little wall space visible due to the Berra and family tributes. Seems like the kind of place that should smell faintly of cigarettes decades after anyone smoked in the building, but it's actually clean and cool. The communication could have been better. Upcharge for my choice of bread. No prices are provided on the menu. Sandwiches, sides, and a drink for 2 people for $35 was much more than we anticipated. I wouldn't mind returning, but my wallet would have something to say about it. This is at least somewhat the fault of inflation... but with prices not posted in the restaurant, I wonder whether the prices vary. Maybe we paid a higher price as we attended the day of the house tour. Maybe not.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating to adding or removing ingredients from sandwiches. I had Joes Italian Kicker with the homemade artichoke salad. The artichoke salad was so good. The dressing was sweet but not overly so. I am not a fan of sweet Italian so for me to actually like this item kind of amazed me but it truly was good. I did not get the tomato sauce on my sandwich, and it was far from what I had convinced myself it was supposed to be lol. I am not a fan of brats and sausages and such but I do like salami. I convinced myself that it was going to be sliced garlic and red wine salami and well that wasn't what I got but I do like to try different things so I wasn't disappointed. The sausage was amazing. So flavorful and enjoyable... again a surprise because as I said, I am not a fan of this type of sausage. Now the giardeneria, it is delicious but it says hot for a reason. It was a little too hot for me but once I removed a bit I could grab little bites with my sandwich and it was less of a mouth burning experience. The cheese and cheese garlic bread the sandwich comes with is absolutely a flavor bonus. overall this was a great meal and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Now my dining partner got meatballs and pasta salad. While she wasn't a fan of the meatballs to the point where she raves, she did say they were good just not great! However she did very much like the pasta salad. She only wished there had been less black olives. Lastly, we did ask for to go boxes for our salad Because the portion was extremely generous and we couldn't eat all of either... we started to get up to go get the containers and a staff member saw us rising and took care of getting the containers for us which was very sweet. I would like to say that a lidded bowl would be better for salads because all the dressing leaked out of the styrofoam box but that was really the only disappointment.

I stopped by on a Sunday just before a rush, so I was able to get my food ordered and made promptly. I just had the spicy chicken katsu sandwich and fries, which was very good. Particularly with the sheer amount fries in the box, you could easily split it. I do want to eventually come by and try one of their desserts, but I was absolutely stuffed after my food, so I did not indulge this time. Considering the serving size, I think the price is very reasonable. It's not a huge menu, but sometimes that's just a sign that they only make what they know they can do well. Highly recommended

I was greeted promptly and then the cashier helped me select some items since it was my first time here. Went with the egg salad sando and togarashi fries and a pork tonkatsu sando with sweet curry fries. They both came with a curry dip. Togarashi is the clear winner, even for a curry fan like me. The decor is so cute, with murals and a variety of seating. There are cards and games in one corner. Note: this is NOT fast food. Ingredients are prepped, but the time it takes to fry a pork tonkatsu is the time it takes. There were only half a dozen people in front of me, but there was a bit of a wait. I'd love to come back and try the taiyaki and fruit sandos. I'll be enjoying my leftovers for the next couple of days. The egg salad sando seems very pricy, volume-wise compared to the pork.
