After trying to eat at this place for the past few weeks only to see that they're closed (thanks google), I finally got it right. I came in a little after they opened for dinner and was warmly greeted. I was surprised at how small it was inside but the lack of space made up for it in the delicious food. Since I've come the last two weeks and unsuccessfully I might add, I knew which entree I wanted to try. Once I sat down and looked at the drink menu to order, I found out they only served the buffets on Sunday! Whoops! I decided to stay since I came this far. Drink wise, I got the passion fruit Batida but with no milk. As I made my way up to the buffet, I was amazed at everything that was out. I managed to get quite a few things on my plate but didn't want it be overflowing as not to waste food. Some of the things weren't labeled, so I had to make an educated guess and hope for the best. I really enjoyed the fried grouper, plantains, and pasta with white sauce. The other things were good too but weren't labeled. I didn't eat very much but got full pretty quickly. As I went up to pay, the head chef asked how I liked everything and offered a complimentary shot. I ended up staying and talking with the staff and had the best time. The paella was superb! It was packed with seafood. It was delicious. Already forward to coming again. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere of this wonderful locally owned restaurant by a Brazilian. I went with a group of 16, so I was able to see the variety of the dinner menu! The saying You can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu is real. Everyone raves about their unique dishes. I enjoyed a few appetizers as my entree! The pastel was my favorite. I ordered one of each type (beef, chicken, and cheese)! My next visit will double the order of cheese and chicken pastel! The beef rib tips were great and, the sauce! They happily accommodated my request for French fries for a little one and the group all wished they had ordered them for themselves. We went on Sunday for their brunch buffet churrasco - delightful! The staff were wonderful and very sweet about my large party bringing our kids. They also had kid pricing for the buffet which we appreciated. Plenty of food and dessert options. The churrasco options are not as plentiful for the brunch compared to the dinner - only picanha and pineapple. HOWEVER, that was the best stinking pineapple I've had in my life, and they gave us as much picanha as we wanted. We all left stuffed to the gills. Couldn't ask for a better Sunday. read more

Rachel makes the most creamy, delectable Batida (blended drink with condensed milk...I recommend the coconut) and George makes the best, melt in your mouth flan I've ever had. I brought my partner here to celebrate his birthday. The venue is small in size so it felt compressed at times when getting up to get food from the buffet. We started with the wings and pastail which was very good the chicken pastail was very flavorful.. For my dish I order the Combo Kaboob, That's with Fish, Shrimp, Chicken and beef kabobs. My friend and I had been looking for try Brasilia, and our experience was less than desired. It took a while for the waiter to get our orders and we had to remind him about what was ordered. They were very apologetic about the delay and forgotten orders but we spent 2 hours in there, which can be frustrating eventhough we got a table right away. The appetizers were the best part of the experience. We had chicken and beef pastel, I prefer the beef pastel. It was well seasoned and the pastry was flakey. The coxinha was delicious, the chicken was savory, and the dip really tied it together. I didn't enjoy any of our entrée, the chicken in the vatapa de frango tasted plain and dry. The cod in the peixada was not seasoned. I wish my experience was better because my brother had a good time at Brasilia years ago. read more

This year, 2023, after these past gloomy 2+:years, I decided to host a birthday party for me. It was a no-brainer to have Brasilia to cater the event. After all, my family from California always plan on a brunch there whenever they're in town. I usually don't like writing bad reviews. However, Brasilia gave me and my friends food poisoning! I read that Brasilia had Brazilian steak and saw that the price was only 25. Whenever we went, the waitress said it was 41 dollars and we mention to them that the website said otherwise. We were already there so we tried it out. I have been wanting to come to Brasilia for a long time because I have heard so many amazing things about this place and my friend and I finally got to go recently. As soon as you walk in it literally feels like you have been transported to Brazil. The signature blue, yellow, and green colors are tied into the decor and the samba music in there be jammin'. My friend loved the Filet Dom Pedro and I chose the Frango Ao Molho Branco which was absolutely delicious. The pastels at Brasilia are everything and I have never had a Batida (a Brazilian cocktail) before but when I tell you I looked up how to make one once I got home? lol The Passion Fruit Batida here was sooooo good! Our waiter Gary was awesome and very knowledgeable of the menu and Rachel (the wife to the head chef/owner) brought us out our food and she was super sweet. Brasilia was recently acknowledged by Yelp as one of the top restaurants in America, and I could not believe that this national honor was bestowed upon a restaurant in my backyard... that I had never been to! So for a recent date night, we decided to take a culinary trip to South America by heading to Brasilia. Brasilia is one of the amazing restaurants that makes the diverse dining district that is South Grand. It's located pretty far south, almost at Gravois. Which bonus... WAY easier to park near that end of South Grand than it is closer to the Park. Upon entering this quaint eatery, you are struck by the vibrance of life that makes up Brazil. Huge murals! Festive decor! And most authentically, super nice people! (An Aside - I definitely judge Brazilian faire quite harshly because I spent more than a month living in Brazil during the Olympic Games. So I truly experienced their cuisine and loved every bite.) It was interesting because we arrived at a "normal" dining time, but were were the only people there. Initially I thought "oh no turn back why are there no people??" But as we sat and dined, the place filled up to the point that there was a wait by the time we left. When we sat down, we checked in on Yelp to receive their check in offer which was pastel (we chose cheese!) What an awesome perk! Look for that offer as soon as you arrive. We ended up deciding it made the most sense to split a pitcher of caipirinha. Pause. Don't know what caipirinha is? Well take a seat sister because it's theeeee best. A caipirinha is Brazil's national cocktail, made with cachaça (sugarcane hard liquor that is basically rum but better), sugar, and lime. The drink is prepared by mixing the fruit and the sugar together, then adding the liquor. In Brazil you can one of these for a few bucks. Have a fistful of cash, and you'll be partying all night! Ok so back to the caipirinha from Brasilia. It was good! Again I think I judge things too harshly, especially when it comes to caipirinha. The cachaça you get in America is much more regulated than what you get in Rio. So it never packs the same punch. But it's a simple drink that's hard to screw up. For dinner my boyfriend ordered the CAMARÃO AO MOLHO BRANCO which is shrimp sautéed in olive oil with garlic and topped with a white wine cream sauce. We both really loved the tenderness of the shrimp. I got VATAPÁ DE FRANGO which was grilled chicken breast in a cashew nut gravy. I also added black beans to my meal to make it a bit more authentic (everything in Rio is served with beans and farofa, but farofa sucks.) Brasilia is so charming, and the staff is beyond delightful. It's the perfect place for a date night that whisks you far from our Midwest haven. Highly recommend checking it out. read more

I wish I had taken photos! I did not keto very well here, I did the best I could. Upon the servers recommendation, I ordered the combo entree. We also shared a pan fried queso appetizer with chimichurri. I will tell you, I love chimichurri, as soon as he said that, I was in. The chimichurri was a type that I had never tried before and was actually a little spicy and creamier than others that I have tried. The combo plate ended up being four different skewers, rice, and beans. The skewers included one steak, one chicken, one shrimp and one fish.
