Service was good, amount of food was decent. The place was mentioned by one of the Koreans I met so I thought it would taste more authentic. Maybe I'm biased with the KBBQ I've had before but it wasn't as good as I was expecting. Overall, it's decent enough and the side dishes were not too bad but not sure if I would consider it as my go to KBBQ spot.

My recent visit was amazing. AYCE Korean BBQ comes with soup, steamed eggs and Korean seafood pancake. You can choose between regular AYCE and LA Galbi AYCE. Pro: If you love galbi, this is the place. I really like the galbi flavor here. Cons: they don't serve fresh veggies to eat with grilled meats. The restaurant was kinda out of date and somewhat looked dirty. Service was good and friendly.

Wudon is our absolute favorite Korean bbq spot. We have been to many others in St. Louis, but Wudon has the best quality food, and thankfully they don't nickel and dime you for extra banchan and rice. It's a great experience for a group of friends since it's all you can eat and you get to cook all the meats yourself. We got the bulgogi beef, spicy pork, and galbi, which also came with their seafood pancake, 2 soups, steamed eggs, and their unlimited banchan and rice.

Grabbed Sunday lunch at Wudon, it was so good!! Found out I like pickled radishes, they have never been a vegetable that was at the top of my list of things to eat but that has changed. Opted not to eat the actual "cook your own meal" version of the BBQ, but went for the Bulgogi Dolsot and my lunch mate ordered the Jeyuk Dolsot. The difference is the amount of time the meat marinades, the Bulgogi was so tender and flavorful. I also tried the Soon Dobu Jjigae soup with seafood. It came to the table boiling hot. Everything we had was good, fresh, and filling. Wudon sits off Olive, west of 270. Stop in and check them out, you will not be disappointed.

This was place was very disappointing. It only gets a star because the customer service was nice and quick. A customer was being so disrespectful to an employee and they handled it well so props to the employee. This place is honestly filthy, only ate here because we had not eaten all day and had already paid for an Uber. As you can see, the ceiling is beat up (like the rest of the place. The menus pictured are filthy. The grills perimeter was already that dirty when we arrived. Please take a look at their health code violations! Save yourself the trip.

Somehow, Korean barbecue has become a traditional Father's Day meal for me and I am pretty happy with that! Booked an 11am reservation for Father's Day for all 7 of us and we were seated promptly. The kids ordered, cooked and paid. Can't beat that! We went with the All You Can Eat option. Our server brought our drinks, sides and all the accoutrement. Here's a rundown: - Boneless short rib - Our table favorite. So tasty and tender. Great marinade. Rating 4.2 - Chicken Bulgogi - decent marinade with the pear shining through. Cooked up with a nice caramelization which enhanced the flavor. Rating 4.0 - Fish Cake - Decent! I think I have found this exact type at the local Asian supermarket. Rating: 3.8 - seafood pancake - Not very much seafood (shrimp), but it was excellent. Dipping sauce was perfect. Rating: 4.2 - Soft Tofu Soup - decent. Rating: 3.6 Other items included chili, soybean past, kimchi, daikon radish, salt and pepper, broccoli, lettuce. All good. Service was prompt throughout. They were busy and they kept up with everything. Overall ambiance is super casual. They have very interesting design style - almost Manhwa. One thing I was keeping an eye out for was cleanliness the table we were sitting probably needs to be replaced. The wood stain seemed to absorb water and a number of attempts had been made to patch it up. This was definitely a great experience and the food fire! Overall rating -

Wudon BBQ is one of two Korean restaurants in Chesterfield. It is located at a quiet strip mall on Olive Ave. It is difficult to discover the restaurant from outside. Though, this place has the perfect K BBQ decor with gas grills by table. Each table can host small party between 2 to 6. Our group has 8 people, so the hostess placed a small table and chairs next to the table with a grill. Even though we have a big party, one grill is sufficient. The menu includes unlimited all you can eat options or by item / platter. Our group of 8 ordered one large platter and two different types of meat. The k BBQ meal comes with white rice and many side dishes, including 1) steam egg, 2) spicy tofu soup, 3) seafood pancake, 4) fish cake, 5) broccoli and 6) kimchi. It's really plenty to eat for the party. The meat quality is all really decent. Pricing is super reasonable, at roughly $36/person. Service is wonderful. The servers came ofteh to refill water and brought over additional kimchi, fish cake and broccoli. In addition, they replaced clean grills three times during my visit. Without doubt, I would highly recommend Wudon to my friends! Note that I took off one star for not having enough sides like Asian Kitchen at U City, though this really worths the try! Service is

It's been a while since I've been to Wudon but it remains a classic spot for kbbq (especially AYCE)! I went on a Thursday around noon and found the restaurant surprisingly busy when I arrived. There are usually one or two servers (during the weekday lunch hours), so service can be a bit slow at times, which is entirely understandable! I was surprised to find a mat on the grill but the waiter informed me they had just switched to using them a few months ago. I will admit I was a bit skeptical but it turned out to work very well! Where we normally switched our grill out 2 or 3 times, it was easy to scrap any charred residue off the mat and continue grilling (see the upper right hand corner of my picture for the charred pieces from the marinated spicy pork). We got the AYCE lunch ($25/person) and ordered the brisket, boneless short rib, pork belly and spicy pork. Note: the boneless short rib is easily the star of the AYCE (although brisket is a close second), and it is a 1x order only so make sure you're not too full! We enjoyed the sides and the soft tofu soup, seafood pancake and steamed egg as well. Remember to ask for lettuce if you'd like to make lettuce meat wraps too :) We will definitely be back, for both the price and the quality of the meat-- it's true, Wudon can't be beat!

Best KBBQ I have had. I have been going to Wudon since high school and some of my friends have a tradition of everyone getting the all you can eat buffet then seeing how many platters we can take down. I have countless great memories here and there are several things that Wudon does very well. The first thing that comes to mind is the meats! Oh man the variety, flavor, quality and quantity of the platters they bring out are amazing. The beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, spicy pork, brisket, pork belly, etc are all so good. The spicy pork and beef bulgogi are my personal favorites and are marinated in a delicious sauce that makes every bite a treat. The grill set up is very nice and certain tables can accommodate up to 10 or more people. They don't change the grill out often which is an aspect that I really like as it allows the grill to stay hot and for you to continue to cook at a good rate which is ideal for larger parties. The sides that come with the all you can eat are also quite good but I typically restrain from indulging too much so I can fill up on the good stuff. Atmosphere inside is intimate, and simple. Staff is kind and attentive, almost always staying on top of waters and requests. Myself and many of my friends love this spot and we will continue to come and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.

This place was an interesting experience. I went with a group of people and it was a little confusing on how to order, but one of my friends had been there before so she showed us the ropes. We ordered one of the special combos for the whole table and it was weird because it came with one bowl of soup and one seafood pancake. It was confusing because there were 4 of us. We didn't all want the same soup and were we all supposed to share the soup or fight over who gets it? Still not sure what we were supposed to do but me and a friend shared it. Then they bring the meat out and you cook it at the table. Luckily my friend knew how it all worked because I would have been lost. It was a fun experience though! And the art and sayings on the wall were cute.

Underwhelmed and overwhelmed at the same time. Underwhelmed because the place is a little rundown, smells bad, the ceilings are filthy. Warm water served in cheap plastic cups. Canned soda instead of fountain. I was overwhelmed by the menu options. It's not clearly labeled how many the dishes serve. We had to ask the waiter to explain. Would have been nice to get more guidance without having to ask. I don't eat steak so I got the chicken. Next I'd probably have the kitchen cook it instead of on the table. Food tasted good. Overall not worth the hype this place has.

Meat Lovers - This pick is for you! Wudon is one of the best Korean BBQ spots in STL! Pick from the big selection of delicious meats to grill or, if you brought your A Game, try the all you can eat option! Expect a wait that will take as long as they tell you.. but trust me, it's worth it! MY FAVS: Beef Brisket, Soft Tofu Soup, Japche

I have eaten a KBBQ AYCE in such a long time so I was excited to come to try this place out. I tried the only other KBBQ AYCE Seoul Garden before so I was interested to understand how this one compares. We came on Easter so I was a bit worried that they wouldn't be open but surprisingly they were. Was able to find a table for 4 very easily for late afternoon. Here are some of my favorite things about the meal: - I really appreciate the cooking top that we were using. I feel like at a lot of KBBQ places, the top gets dirty very quickly and sometimes you have to wait awhile before someone comes over and changes it for you. Here, you can control the heat and it doesn't get ashy which is nice. - I actually really liked the Bulgogi Beef which had a good marinate on it that was a little sweet. Also, the beef was very tender and went well with the lettuce they gave us. I do wish that they had daikon wraps as well as other sauces that weren't just soy sauce, sesame sauce, and other more basic ones. I do appreciate the salt they gave us which went well with all the meats. - I appreciate that the seafood pancake and steamed egg was part of the AYCE option. I do have the say that although there wasn't a lot of seafood in the seafood pancake, this is definitely the best seafood pancake I have had in St. Louis by far - even when compared to other Korean restaurants. They even got the sauce correct which was quite impressive. - Although there wasn't a lot of meat options by first glance, I will say that the amount they gave you on every plate will allow you to try all of them which are all quite good. For 4 people, we were barely able to finish all 7 different meat options / plates of food. Overall, great KBBQ AYCE place and would come again. Also the price (without tax and tip) is less than $30 for lunch per person which I feel like you can't really find anymore.

I'm Korean and grew up with Korean food in Chicago, so I know what the real thing tastes like, and this is the real thing. I got the soondae stew and it completely hit the spot. The flavor profile was so authentic and satisfying!! Came out boiling still, so fresh. The banchan selection was great too and the waitress was really sweet about bringing more if you wanted. My only small note is that I wished the side dishes came out a little earlier rather than alongside the main food, because I was starving by the time everything arrived! But that's a minor thing. There's also a karaoke spot right next door that I heard gets pretty lively at night. I haven't made it over there yet but that is absolutely next on my list.

We had a group of 7 and we ordered 4 dishes (each serving 2) and we had more than enough for at least 2 more people. The side dishes were pretty good. I was particularly happy they provide lettuce for wraps. A lot of places have stopped providing that. The drink menu was pretty good as well with several different options of soju, beer, and makoli. There are also karaoke rooms in back -- we didn't try them this time ... But maybe next time. Everyone left totally full and satisfied.

The food was honestly really good -- but there is a lot this place needs to fix before I can fully recommend it. The first thing that hit me when I walked in was the smell. And not in a good way. It smelled like a sewer. Not what you want when you are about to sit down and eat. It lingered the entire time we were there and was really hard to get past. The front of the restaurant looks okay at first glance. But once you sit down you start noticing things. The tables are wobbly and clearly rigged up with makeshift fixes. Extension cords are running visibly across the floor which looks bad and feels unsafe. The menus and sauce bottles were sticky -- like they had not been wiped down in a long time. Little things like that add up fast. I caught a glimpse of the back of the house and it looked grimy and dirty. That is a problem at any restaurant, but especially at a place where you are cooking your own food right at the table. The staff were not very welcoming either. They were hard to find when you needed something and did not seem very interested in making sure you were having a good time. Now here is the thing -- the food was actually fresh and delicious. The broth was flavorful and the ingredients were good quality. That part genuinely impressed me. But for the price they are charging? The total package is just not there yet. Good food can only carry a restaurant so far. They need to clean things up -- literally -- before I come back. UPDATE: One more thing worth mentioning that I think is really important. Shabu Day is strictly all you can eat -- and that is the only option they offer. For most people that is fine. But for anyone with a medical condition that limits how much they can eat, this format is a serious problem. You are being charged full all you can eat prices for food you physically cannot consume in that quantity. That is not fair and it is not inclusive. A lot of restaurants in this space offer a la carte or smaller portion options for exactly this reason. Shabu Day should do the same. It is a simple change that would make a big difference for a lot of people and would show that they actually care about all of their customers -- not just the ones who can eat the most. Clean things up, fix the smell, train your staff to be more welcoming, and give people a fair way to order. The foundation is there. Now build on it.
