I forgot to bring my lunch to work so I placed an online order at Revel. I ordered the Miso Sesame (Organic greens, purple cabbage, carrot, edamame, cucumber, fresh herbs, sesame seeds, and peanut miso) with no cucumber and added grilled chicken. It was $17.51 before tip. I thought the portion was small and the chicken was dry. I love healthy but I'll agree with the other reviewer who says it's bland. read more

I want to like this place. The healthy food industry needs more restaurants like this. But I cannot get over the food. There is a line between simple and bland, and unfortunately revel borders the line of bland. And before you say "some people don't want all the seasonings or salt" there are alternatives that are salt free and can still make your food taste good. We spent almost 40 dollars on two small bowls and two small sides. The Brussels sprouts were roasted without anything, so they were just soggy Brussels sprouts. Along with the sweet potato side that again, could've benefited from a sprinkle of cinnamon or salt free seasoning. My bowl was good, it was brown rice, mojo chicken, steamed carrots and cilantro lime dressing on the side. The other bowl we got was chicken, steamed broccoli, brown rice with a mustard bbq type sauce. It needed teriyaki which wasn't an option. The other reason I gave this one star is the people took the order through the drive through, but when I got to the window not one word was exchanged regardless of my greeting. They asked for a tip on the credit card reader too. Got our food from the window without any words at all. She didn't tell me my total ; she didn't greet or say goodbye, didn't say thank you or anything. It was off putting. read more

How have I not tried Revel sooner? I am seriously obsessed. I was looking for a quick and convenient lunch before grocery shopping on Saturday afternoon, and I'd been hearing such good things about Revel that I decided it was finally time to check it out. They provide such a delicious selection of nutritious meals that are very reasonably priced. I ate my meal at a table inside, but it's super cool that they also have a drive-thru if you're on the go. The inside was clean, bright, and welcoming. Everything on their menu sounded so yummy, so I had a hard time deciding what to try. I ended up ordering a small BYO bowl at the front counter. It comes with your choice of 1 base, 1 veggie, 1 protein, and 1 sauce. I got mine with brown rice, sweet potato, grilled chicken, fresh herbs, and cilantro lime sauce. I sat down at a table, and my food was brought out to me shortly after. I was immediately blown away by my bowl's flavors. Their house-made cilantro lime sauce was INCREDIBLE. In fact, my partner tried some of mine and loved it so much that he asked the employee if he could have some for his burrito. I also tried the Hang 10, one of their raw cold pressed juices. It includes watermelon, pineapple, lime, and ginger juice blend. While the juice was very cold and refreshing, I probably wouldn't pay $8 again for it. Glad I tried it, though! Definitely more of a takeout establishment than dine-in, but they do have seating available inside & a little bit outside (if you're up for sitting on Big Bend). The food is top notch and super healthy. I opted for the Gardener Bowl (sauce on the side) and added an egg and tofu for a protein boost. It was a little pricey but considering I got like 5 cups of fresh veggies and they were quality I won't complain. There were so many things on the menu I want to try, I will definitely return for lunch/dinner when I am in a pinch. The woman working the counter could not have been nicer. We did dine in and she brought our food to us and cleared our plates, neither of which I was expecting as it is very much a "fast casual" vibe. Can't wait to try more! read more

The food was fine and they offer a nice variety. The problem I had was their lack of flexibility when building your own bowl. They have bowls and they have salads but apparently the ingredients aren't all interchangeable. I asked if I could substitute kale for one of my veggies since the options they had weren't in keeping with my dietary restrictions. No. No? So there's kale on the right side of the menu and you can't use it on the left? I'll pay extra. No. OK....so I ended up with a $14 bowl of undressed raw kale, a few carrot shreds, and 2 eggs. I sent an e-mail just to say that there might be an issue to address, someone texted me a reply, saying they'd credit my account, which never happened. Perfect for when you want healthy food and don't feel like cooking. Their sauces are AMAZING and they do meal prep. Worth the price because of the quality of the ingredients, my bowl and my partner's burrito were both plenty for two full meals. One of my favorite restaurants just opened up a new location so naturally I had to try it out! Besides the delicious and healthy food options, this new restaurant has an added drive thru bonus for convenience. Some of our favorites here for my family are the GF pancakes, seriously we would choose these over regular pancakes any day. The wrap are all fantastic and anything with the beef. Amazing!! I was so happy to see Revel Kitchen open a new location in Maplewood. In what's know as the "fast food" corner of Maplewood it's a welcome addition with local healthy options. It's sometimes challenging to park at their original location so I was excited to utilize their new drive thru. My chicken rice bowl was hot and ready quickly after ordering. I love their Carolina mustard sauce. The only challenging aspect is pulling back out onto Manchester you have to be a little cautious. This is my first time trying the new Revel Kitchen location! I ordered online and went in to pick it up and there was no one else in the lot so it was pretty slow on a Friday night. I got the large bowl filled with white rice, black beans, spiced tofu, garlic mushrooms, harrisa sweet potatoes, and steamed broccoli. Topped with cilantro lime sauce, all of their sauces are incredible, but the cilantro lime is my favorite. The large bowl was enough for two meals for me. read more
