Super cute and clean storefront with convenient parking right next to it. Our food came out super fast and they had a great selection of food and drink. Me and my friend both enjoyed our meals and had enough for leftovers which I always appreciate. I would love to come back and try more of their food!

Yum, I've been wanting to try KBop on Cherokee. It's super cute inside, walk in there's plenty of natural light coming in, they have a huge screen with the menu. Plenty of things to offer. Walk up to the counter & order whatever you want & it comes out SUUUPER quick. I was surprised how fast my food came out. I got a beef bulgogi bowl, spring rolls, cucumber kimchi & regular kimchi. Delicious!

Wandered into this place after leaving an event on Cherokee street. My husband is retired military and having been stationed in Korea for 5 years loves the food. So whenever we see a spot we stop. This place has a very short menu and I am fine with that. Small seating area and the customary kbop videos playing on screens. Can't leave out the people watching you get to do from the windows facing the street. The bowls come with your chosen protein, veggies, glass noodles & rice. DELICIOUS!!! I had never had glass noodles. They were good and carry the flavor of the dish very well. The vegetables were nice and fresh. The rice perfectly cooked. I am putting this place on my list!!!

It smelled like a sewar upon waking in, but can't blame a place for something that may be out of their control. Lots of menu items to choose from but I went with the Bimbimbop as I was excited about the seaweed it came with. A choice of meats or tofu to add to it. I went with the pork. Lots of food that I was able to get three meals out of! No alcohol selections which would have been nice. A TV plays KPop music videos so that was fun to watch while we ate. Nice staff and good portions.

I liked the art on the walls and the K-pop playing. On to the menu.... The All You Can Eat (AYCE) selection at WUDON is not AYCE. Unlike all AYCE KBBQ restaurants, WUDON limits selective items that you can order more than once. At AYCE sushi or other BBQs, once you select AYCE, everything can be ordered as much as you want. To top it off, you are required to share a soup, a pancake, and steamed egg. I was disappointed to find that you had to share those items and could not order more. Not exactly "all you can eat". And, like other reviewers, the galbi, or short rib, platter is a one-time order deal. That's..... unheard of for a $28.99 AYCE weekend lunch. St. Louis does not have many Asian cuisine options, especially Korean, so I always try to be understanding if the quality or service isn't the best. My issue is that they should not call a menu selection "all you can eat" if there are contingencies on how many times you can order certain items. I would pay $15 for All you can eat here, not $30+. If you are looking for a first time experience doing AYCE KBBQ in St. Louis, by all means, try WUDON. Since LA, NY, and Chicago are too far to get AYCE KBBQ that is worth it, WUDON is the next (somewhat good) choice.

A Great Hole-in-the-Wall Korean Spot…read more I was really in the mood for Korean food, and as Korean culture has become more mainstream, I've noticed that some Korean restaurants have started to feel a bit commercialized. As someone who cooks Korean food myself and spent time living in Korea, sometimes you just want a simple, authentic, no-frills spot that focuses on the food. Thankfully, Asian Kitchen Korean Cuisine, located at 8423 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO, delivered exactly that. I knew I was probably in the right place as soon as I walked in and was greeted by one of the owners, whose direct and no-nonsense personality reminded me of many family-run restaurants I've visited over the years. It gave the place a lot of character. I kept my order simple and went with the beef bulgogi, while my sister ordered the chicken bulgogi. Both came with rice and kimchi. We also shared an order of vegetable potstickers, which were fried perfectly. Everything was delicious. The food had a homemade quality that felt comforting and authentic. The bulgogi was flavorful, the kimchi was satisfying, and the potstickers were easily one of the highlights of the meal. We ordered everything to go, so unfortunately I didn't get any photos, but the food definitely spoke for itself. One thing to keep in mind is that there may be a bit of a wait, but that's because the food is prepared fresh. If you're willing to be patient, it's well worth it. Overall, if you're looking for solid Korean food in the St. Louis area and don't mind a straightforward, family-run atmosphere, Asian Kitchen is a great choice. 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm Korean and grew up with Korean food in Chicago, so I know what the real thing tastes like, and this is the real thing. I got the soondae stew and it completely hit the spot. The flavor profile was so authentic and satisfying!! Came out boiling still, so fresh. The banchan selection was great too and the waitress was really sweet about bringing more if you wanted. My only small note is that I wished the side dishes came out a little earlier rather than alongside the main food, because I was starving by the time everything arrived! But that's a minor thing. There's also a karaoke spot right next door that I heard gets pretty lively at night. I haven't made it over there yet but that is absolutely next on my list.

We had a group of 7 and we ordered 4 dishes (each serving 2) and we had more than enough for at least 2 more people. The side dishes were pretty good. I was particularly happy they provide lettuce for wraps. A lot of places have stopped providing that. The drink menu was pretty good as well with several different options of soju, beer, and makoli. There are also karaoke rooms in back -- we didn't try them this time ... But maybe next time. Everyone left totally full and satisfied.

TLDR: Good Food, But A Lot of Red Flags…read more I had been wanting to try Shabu Day for a while and finally made it out. The food was honestly really good -- but there is a lot this place needs to fix before I can fully recommend it. The first thing that hit me when I walked in was the smell. And not in a good way. It smelled like a sewer. Not what you want when you are about to sit down and eat. It lingered the entire time we were there and was really hard to get past. The front of the restaurant looks okay at first glance. But once you sit down you start noticing things. The tables are wobbly and clearly rigged up with makeshift fixes. Extension cords are running visibly across the floor which looks bad and feels unsafe. The menus and sauce bottles were sticky -- like they had not been wiped down in a long time. Little things like that add up fast. I caught a glimpse of the back of the house and it looked grimy and dirty. That is a problem at any restaurant, but especially at a place where you are cooking your own food right at the table. The staff were not very welcoming either. They were hard to find when you needed something and did not seem very interested in making sure you were having a good time. Now here is the thing -- the food was actually fresh and delicious. The broth was flavorful and the ingredients were good quality. That part genuinely impressed me. But for the price they are charging? The total package is just not there yet. Good food can only carry a restaurant so far. They need to clean things up -- literally -- before I come back. UPDATE: One more thing worth mentioning that I think is really important. Shabu Day is strictly all you can eat -- and that is the only option they offer. For most people that is fine. But for anyone with a medical condition that limits how much they can eat, this format is a serious problem. You are being charged full all you can eat prices for food you physically cannot consume in that quantity. That is not fair and it is not inclusive. A lot of restaurants in this space offer a la carte or smaller portion options for exactly this reason. Shabu Day should do the same. It is a simple change that would make a big difference for a lot of people and would show that they actually care about all of their customers -- not just the ones who can eat the most. Clean things up, fix the smell, train your staff to be more welcoming, and give people a fair way to order. The foundation is there. Now build on it.

There were very few instructions and the place could use some TLC and thorough cleaning. I didn't use the restroom but my husband thinks black mold is growing in it. I'm not sure if reservations are needed during busier times, but we had no problem getting seated. The experience was fun because you grill your own fresh steak and chicken right at the table. Everything tasted fresh, and cooking it yourself made the meal interactive. Our server was attentive, friendly, and took the time to answer all of our questions. I also tried one of their drinks. It was just okay, but since this isn't a bar-focused restaurant, that wasn't a big deal. The atmosphere is versatile--it would be great for a date night, a group outing, or just catching up with friends. The only downside was the price, but honestly, that's pretty common these days. Overall, we had a great experience and will most likely be back.

Note: your group has to be all-or-nothing for ordering from the menu or the AYCE. The children's discount only applies to kids aged 4-7. None of this impacted our group, as we were all-in as adults for AYCE. We picked the standard package. Premium basically includes options for kabli and shrimp. The meat choices were plentiful (you can pick two options per round). Side dishes, shared soups, rice and lettuce were all plentiful and tasty. Service was constant, with them asking what we needed more of, and checking if we were ready for another round of grilling meats. We got a couple more rounds of the meats, and got plenty of refills on rice, lettuce and sides as needed. Everything was great. We got the beef bulgogi three times, because, you know, it's beef bulgogi. Got the thin-sliced brisket (unseasoned), pork bulgogi (spicy) and marinated steak, as well. It was all very good. Great experience, we left stuffed to the gills.

And to my knowledge,…read morethis is the only place in St. Louis that serves this type of cuisine (only on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm). I ordered classic items like the rice roll, beef sesame flatbread, and soy milk. They were out of the congee this time, but that's also one of my favorites. The beef in the sesame flatbread was thin cut and full of flavor. It pairs really well with the cucumber, cilantro, and green onion, along with the toasty sesame bread. My only critique is that I wish it was warmer and not served cold (intentional), but that is certainly a personal preference. The rice roll is made up of sticky rice around pork floss, pickled vegetables, chinese cruller, and, tea egg - all classic ingredients that work so well together. It fell apart towards the end, but it was still delicious eating it with a fork. The soy milk was delicious as well, and you can customize the sweetness by adding your own sugar. It is classically paired with the Chinese cruller (youtiao), but the menu is a bit pricey, so I did not separately order the youtiao. My meal came out to be $26, so I definitely consider this to be a "treat myself" meal. But given that this is the only restaurant that does Chinese breakfast in St. Louis and does it authentically, I am a huge fan. Service is great, and seating is very spacious.
