Red bean and whipped cream pastry
    Eleisha M.

Stopped by on lunch yesterday. I was tempted to grab one of everything, and I did end up with more than I planned. I opted for the Chicken curry koroke and Red bean whipped cream bread for my lunch. They were both very good, I could eat the Red bean whipped cream everyday. The chicken Curry Koroke made for a great lunch, and something different and better than fast food. I also grabbed a loaf of their pumpkin bread - YUM! It has pieces of pumpkin in the bread. Great for a snack or for dessert. I also had the White bean paste pastry and a Sweet rice donut. I personally did not care for the white bean paste, I have not had it that I know of and now I know that I will opt from having it again, the sweet rice donut was good. A neat little store tucked into the strip mall going wet on Olive, right after crossing over 141. The staff I interacted with were helpful and nice. My favorite was the red bean and whipped cream pastry. But there were many more items to explore here. Stop by and check them out, try to make it before they stop selling the pumpkin bread.

I heard really good things about this bakery, so I visited for the first time this year and then returned for more pastries because even though the inside is unassuming, the pastries speak for themselves. I would describe this place as mostly grab and go, as there's only one 2-person table. You get a basket and place whatever pastries you want in it. The pastries are wrapped in plastic so they're easy to transport. From custard buns, melon pan, cream-filled buns, cookies, "French Toast", matcha roll cakes and more, this will easily become one of your favorite bakeries like it is for many others. This place is most definitely worth a try (or 10!)

They are always consistent! I love coming into the bakery and I love grabbing this hot dog bun! The staff is always nice! There's a few seats in the front if you want to stay and eat. But it's good to go! They have a large selection of sweet and savory pastries! Also lots of loaves and cookies. I also love getting their cakes because they aren't too sweet and decently priced! I would recommend calling them ahead of time (maybe 2-3 days beforehand) for cakes! I have walked in and just picked up a cake before, but the options may be limited depending on the day!

I came here twice lately. Second time was ordering a cake for my son's graduation celebration. I ordered the fruity layered cake. Oh my goodness, it was so delicious! The fruits were blended in the cream in the layers and on top! Not super sweet which I like a lot! We have a small group of 7. We almost finished the cake right after lunch! The place also has all kinds of other baked goods, I bought a few fried donuts and they were so good! Will come back for other bakery needs for sure!

Absolutely beautiful bakery, really great selection. Will be happy to stop by again! I enjoyed everything I picked out immensely. Must try if you are craving sweets!

If you've never been to Kim's bakery, I can safely say you're missing out. I stopped by on a Sunday morning just to browse and ended up getting a kimchi beef koroke, a curry chicken koroke, a custard bread, and one of their ham sandwiches. My family will get the sandwich bread (ask them to slice it for you if it's cold), which we also really enjoy. There's some seating outside but not really inside. Staff are very friendly and nice as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone in the area-- they are stocked differently depending on the day but I especially love all their bread items. Safe to say one of my favorite bakeries in STL to stop by!

Kim's bakery is a breath of fresh air and truly a treat compared to the sea of mediocre shops offering generic vanilla or chocolate cake. The storefront is bright, open, and stocked with plenty of hand crafted baked goods. I picked up a match roll, melon bread, red bean and cream bread, chicken curry korokke, and rice donuts(not pictured as they were eaten on the way home), the staff is friendly and food is amazing. I'm not normally a person who frequents bakeries, as most bakeries make things too sweet and options are limited, while there's plenty of sweets to be had at Kim's, they have an offering of plenty of savory and not too sweet options here which are far more appealing for my palate. One of the best bakeries around, I highly recommend the rice donuts and melon bread.

This is a place I go to often in for years to get the custard fill bread. The bread has the right amount of sweetness to them. I have tried quite a lot of other bread at this place but the custard fill bread is the one that brings me back to buy more. My kids especially love them. I am not aware of any other bakery in saint Louis that make them beside this place. The selections varies therefore best to come here early if wanting to buy in a big quantity .

We no longer live in the area, but when we're back in town, we always stop at Kim's Bakery. We love the selection, tasty food, and friendly staff. Today, we were able to get some of our favorites...red bean bun, chocolate coronet, chocolate cookies, and almond cookies. Nothing here is too sweet, and it's always fresh and delicious. Don't miss out on this gem if you live in the area.

Their cakes have all been great. They never disappoint. It is recommended to reserve a cake days in advance so that you are guaranteed to get what you want.

I like going here for freshly made bakeries. The store is always clean and neat. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. My favorites are their custard and cream cheese breads - which tends to be sold out pretty fast. I tried their melon breads couple times before but it's not my cup of tea. They also have some savory items and birthday cakes. My family and I especially loved the sweet potato cake here a lot. Must try item!

Our colleague introduced us to this birthday cake and it was absolutely delicious! It's one of the lightest cake I've had. I'm sure I can eat the whole cake by myself with no problem! The bakery shop is small but packed with goodies.

This little gem of a bakery is small but has a lot of selections for their baked goods!! They have everything from classic red bean buns to fancy cream-filled pastries and even green tea flavored treats. My personal favorite is the korean style croquette bread. The lady working there was an absolute sweetheart too. Super helpful and friendly. Overall, I would recommend it!

The lemon tart was lemony and quite good. My favorite was the lemon with raspberry swirl. Really nice combo of tart and sweet. The cookies themselves aren't overly sweet; the frosting adds the sweet. I was excited to finally try this place even though I was warned about the baklavas being too dry. Sadly that's true. I dint think they are made fresh. They lack syrupy. I understand they don't have much food traffic but cutting down on the types of baklava and freshly making them should solve that problem. Probably the second worst baklava I've had out here. I see why they make shakes though. Since they don't sell ans have leftover stock. We initially sat down to eat but it was so awkward that there's no music and so quiet. My husband said they don't vacuum between the chairs which were full of crumbs. We eventually got our food to go. The second issue is the food. We got a sucuk flatbread and ans egg pide. This is not a pide, it's just pizza bread. Cheese is mozzarella, should have been beyaz cheese. Middle eastern cuisine doesn't use this cheese. My egg was raw and just throw in a corner. Could have saved myself money by just getting domino's, at least my food would be cooked. If you want quality, try Balkan treat box, Aya Sofia or Garbanzo. I would also like to state that there is one employee that works front and back. I didn't see him washing his hands once going back into the kitchen to handle my food.
