    White raspberry espresso martinis
    Emily M.

Great sweet, great treats, great drinks! I love their espresso martinis as a desert drink. They are sweeter than I usually like but as a desert they are perfect! They also have a spicy mule that was so refreshing! The chocolate chip cheesecake is to die for! Such a cute and quaint space in st Charles! Alcoholic drinks are around $15 a drink. Mocktails are between $8-10. Parking can be tough depending on the time you go.

Lovely little place serving homemade baked goods, coffee, specialty lattes, sandwiches, mocktails, desserts, cocktails. Nice hangout vibe.

Friendly staff, good food, great vibe with inside and outside seating. Fun day or evening to bring a friend or a book.

A delightful spacious coffee shop that I wish was closer to home. I don't eat many sweets and wish there were more savory options on their breakfast menu, but the cannoli pistachio cheesecake is exquisite. Great coffee served to your table with a smile. Will go back any time I'm in the area.

Came here because I saw it on Instagram and it's so cute! They do such a good job with their social media. Came here on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy around noon. The workers were all really nice and helped me pick out a good drink. Everything came out quick and I had no wait in line. Got two coffees, a cookie and a cupcake. The coffees are really good and the baked goods options were plentiful. So many yummy looking things to pick from! The decor was soo cute and if I lived closer I'd come more often. Was some girls with their laptops doing work which is such a good idea. I would totally come back for a girls night cocktail.

I've been dying to try Lydia's and it did not disappoint! It's so cute and girly and welcoming inside and the staff were welcoming and very nice too. I got a piece of the coconut cream pie and it was so creamy and delicious! This would be the perfect place to come get some work done, it's so cute and cozy!

A seasonal bourbon flavored cold brew

I know there's several good places in St Charles, but coming from SoCo, that's a bit of a hike - so that's my excuse for not making it here until now. Let me tell you, it is worth the drive. Super friendly and patient staff, which is good, because there are so many delicious looking sweets on display. I ended up with a delicious scone and a bourbon flavored cold brew. It had a longer name, but bourbon was the dominant flavor, which is something you rarely see around here. Even though I mostly drove there for the coffee, it is that cheddar everything scone that will keep me coming back. So unexpectedly good. I did also sit around for awhile, and it seemed like a comfortable place to hang out.

Cute little cocktail/coffee shop with bakery treats & food options as well. The staff was friendly and all the pastries looked divine although I didn't get any. They offer fun events and classes as well.

Peanut butter cookie and brown sugar latte

Cute and cozy little bakery/coffee shop/drink place. Cases full of bakery items, all of which looked delicious. Settled in a peanut butter cookie and brown sugar latte today. Both equally scrumptious. The cookies are HUGE had to take half home. I will definitely be back to try more. Menu also had some small bites/dips and sandwiches. Boozy drink options available as well. Perfect place for an afternoon catchup with family or friends. Steady stream of people in and out on an early Saturday afternoon.

    S'mores latte, strawberry shortcake latte

Lydia's has quickly become one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in St. Charles! The vibe here is so inviting--plenty of seating, easy parking, and the kind of atmosphere that works just as well for a solo work session as it does for catching up with friends. I could even see it being a fun spot for a bachelorette brunch. The drinks are excellent--I've tried the brown sugar latte, s'mores latte, and strawberry shortcake latte, and all three were terrific. They've got a great variety, so it's fun to mix it up each visit. The chocolate chip cookies deserve a special shoutout too...honestly some of the best I've ever had. The staff is always so sweet and helpful, especially when it comes to recommending baked goods. You can tell they actually enjoy making sure you leave happy. Plus, they leave personalized handwritten notes on the drinks. Highly recommend Lydia's--whether you're local or just passing through, it's a must-stop coffee shop!

What an adorable place for a sweet drink and pastry. I had the espresso martini. It was simple yet delicious. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The decor is dainty and inviting. It is definitely a girls' place. I liked the variety of seating options as well. The only draw back is it's hard to locate and it would be nice yo see a few savory options as it pertains to a drink and pastry.

This place is so cute! I have heard of Lydia's and I have been wanting to try it and my friend and I finally got to. We went on a Wednesday and at first we were the only ones in there but then it really started to pick up. To drink I got the Lydia special latte with almond milk and to eat I got a bacon, cedar, ranch pastry. For the pastry the lady at checkout told me what it was but I forgot. My latte was really good and the pastry was delicious. It was really light and fluffy and the perfect little breakfast. I also really liked the flavors in the latte, they were Carmel and vanilla. My friend and I loved the vibe of this place and it was super cute! We will definitely be coming back for their happy hour!

Here's something I love: stuffing my face with a giant slice of cheesecake while the crossfit gym people next door run around the parking lot. I also love that they stylize their name the same way I do, with a big flourish on the "L" I've been twice now, and both times were delightful. The monthly changing cocktail menu is reason enough to return at least that often.

The link was clunky, and after working through it laboriously, we managed to cobble together a 40.00 drink order combined. This is where the real trouble began. We were using two different devices for two different orders. On both orders we had trouble finding the "shots" option. One party eventually did. The other order kept defaulting to adding pretzels (required by law to get alcohol to go, apparently) even though we were planning to stay on site. Finally decided to just do one order and managed to shed the pretzels. We did all of this chaotic legwork instead of chatting and being out... and then the order asked for a tip. Normally I'm one of those huge over tippers- 20% minimum, usually 30% or more, but this gave me pause. It's like being asked to tip at Walmart. I just mucked through Narwhals computer system as free labor and they want me to tip? No. Didn't matter anyway because there wasn't an option to pay on either phone. We left and went to Firebirds for happy hour instead. It's 400 feet away, fantastic drinks, great price, patrons don't have to work for free, and there is an actual reason to tip. Ironically, the payment option for Narwhals showed up after we left. Maybe it was a signal issue? Ha. Jokes on them. If you go to Firebirds, I'd recommend the cherry old fashioned or the pineapple martini. Both excellent. Can't say about Narwhals and I won't be back to ever find out.

I normally don't like leaving negative reviews, but something felt different this time. When we walked in there was only one other couple dining, and there was noticeable clutter sitting in the corners of the restaurant. It gave the place a different feel than what we remembered from our last visit. I ordered the Creole Breakfast Gravy. The biscuit itself was excellent--light, fluffy, and exactly how a biscuit should be. Unfortunately the gravy was disappointing. It tasted more like regular sausage gravy with a heavy amount of cayenne pepper and Cajun seasoning added to it. The flavors just didn't balance well. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. One poached egg was perfect, but the other came out over medium. That's something a trained chef normally wouldn't send out, and it made me feel like the kitchen might have a cook working the line rather than a chef overseeing the dishes. I do want to say the waitress was phenomenal. She was very attentive, friendly, and always made sure our coffee stayed fresh and hot. Her service was definitely the highlight of the visit. We will likely come back again because we know this restaurant can do better. Hopefully the kitchen can correct a few things and bring the consistency back.
