I would say overall this was a pretty good experience at this location. It was a beautiful day so I think it was nice to sit out on the patio and they had the fireplace going which makes the experience even better. We were notified when we got there that there was a big party and there would be a wait which we didn't mind so we waited but in the end it ended up not being as long as they said, which was even better. Our waitress was great and very friendly. She did a great job of managing the tables that were inside and outside. The food was good and fresh and came out rather quickly and everything was good. I would have liked to experience the wine tower like I've seen it another table, but the wine itself was still good. I will definitely visit again.

Nice atmosphere and decent wine selection, but overall the experience was pretty average. The food was okay not bad, but nothing especially memorable. Service was polite. Prices were decent for the quality and portion sizes. It's a fine place to relax for a drink, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

After noon lunch on a beautiful street on Main St., Saint Charles. They had a afternoon special for $20 flight. You could try four wines and then your fifth wine could be your glass. It was perfect for trying different wines. We had some artichoke dip and a charcuterie board. You can't go wrong with that at a wine place. It was the perfect board shared amongst friends. Perfect atmosphere and the waitress was fantastic. I wish I could remember her name and I should've written it down. It's a great place to go on a beautiful day to sit outside on Main Street.

I love the outdoor seating and wide variety of meal options, from casual bites to full entrees. The drinks were fresh, and our server was awesome, giving us plenty of helpful recommendations.

The staff here is always, I mean always welcoming and accommodating. The weather was nice so we asked to sit in the patio, they had heaters and fire pits going and it was lovely. They allowed us to move the tables to get a bit closer to the heaters. We had not realized that we had blocked a pathway to a back table. They said over and over "you're fine". It's a great stop while walking the shops, and also a great destination to meet for a snack and a glass of wine! Go!

Nice quite cafe in historic St. Charles where you can enjoy amazing wine and amazing food. Love that you can come here to plug-in for work in a space that's has low background music with amazing service.

The service was excellent! Greeted immediately, seated quickly and checked on regularly. There's a variety of food choices to choose from and an extensive wine selection. The wine flight is worth the price point since they are full pours vs. tasting pours. There's indoor and outdoor seating so perfect to visit all year round.

Tranita was absolutely amazing. Best service ever. Great place. Also came during a festival and got an AMAZING wine slushie. So glad to support a Black, female-owned business in this area.

The patio is my favorite. But the inside is cozy as well. They accommodate single people to large parties. This business is one of my favorite businesses to support. The owner is a Wonderful lady, whom runs this business successfully with skill and a sense of community. I feel like I'm family and I think I've been 5x in a year. I adore her daughter who also works here when she can. The food is delicious! And oh the gooey butter cake YUM YUM YUM. I love the you pick two option for lunch. The sandwiches or wraps are unique and delicious. Let's discuss wine! WOW! The wines they choose are delectable to say the least! And the portions on the flights are gracious!! Whether it is grading papers, escaping reality, summer reading or stopping by this is the place to go. (I failed with taking more pictures ) Their season drinks are also amazing!

Hosted my department's Christmas party here, and it was such a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the owner personally greeted us at the door and checked in throughout the afternoon. It's a charming little wine bar with a cozy vibe, and now I'm excited to come back in the spring to enjoy the courtyard.

We stopped in for lunch and ate outside on the lovely patio. The server was amazing, and the food was pretty good. I had chicken and waffles, which was great, but I should have had a salad to go with so much breading. I will definitely go back for a happy hour (with wine and apps, of course!)

Stopped into this cute little cafe on a work trip & it did not disappoint. I had the Kumbasha, Sav Blanc and it was 10/10. I didn't have time to try any food but they offer daily specials. Will definitely need to come back and try the food.

The Philly Wrap. Potato chips were meh, will prob get the salad side next time.

Stopped in on a Saturday early afternoon for lunch. We'd been wanting to try it out, so this was our opportunity. Nice menu with a variety of lunch selections. Flatbreads, salads, soups, sandwiches and wraps. But they also have charcuterie boards on the menu! Huge selection of wines with a sampler available that was discounted on the day we were there. A few cocktails and NA options. We were not looking to "day drink" so we ordered iced tea, which was very good actually. We both ordered wraps, I had the Philly and Daniela had the chicken fajita wrap. Both arrived HOT, no really hot. Took several minutes for them to cool to an edible temperature. But they were really good and stuffed with ingredients, lots of meat, cheese and veggies. Kettle chips were ok, not great, I will get the salad next time. Our son had a kids flatbread, which was ok, we might try something else next time for him. Nice patio, good service, good location. We'll be back!

The link was clunky, and after working through it laboriously, we managed to cobble together a 40.00 drink order combined. This is where the real trouble began. We were using two different devices for two different orders. On both orders we had trouble finding the "shots" option. One party eventually did. The other order kept defaulting to adding pretzels (required by law to get alcohol to go, apparently) even though we were planning to stay on site. Finally decided to just do one order and managed to shed the pretzels. We did all of this chaotic legwork instead of chatting and being out... and then the order asked for a tip. Normally I'm one of those huge over tippers- 20% minimum, usually 30% or more, but this gave me pause. It's like being asked to tip at Walmart. I just mucked through Narwhals computer system as free labor and they want me to tip? No. Didn't matter anyway because there wasn't an option to pay on either phone. We left and went to Firebirds for happy hour instead. It's 400 feet away, fantastic drinks, great price, patrons don't have to work for free, and there is an actual reason to tip. Ironically, the payment option for Narwhals showed up after we left. Maybe it was a signal issue? Ha. Jokes on them. If you go to Firebirds, I'd recommend the cherry old fashioned or the pineapple martini. Both excellent. Can't say about Narwhals and I won't be back to ever find out.

I normally don't like leaving negative reviews, but something felt different this time. When we walked in there was only one other couple dining, and there was noticeable clutter sitting in the corners of the restaurant. It gave the place a different feel than what we remembered from our last visit. I ordered the Creole Breakfast Gravy. The biscuit itself was excellent--light, fluffy, and exactly how a biscuit should be. Unfortunately the gravy was disappointing. It tasted more like regular sausage gravy with a heavy amount of cayenne pepper and Cajun seasoning added to it. The flavors just didn't balance well. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. One poached egg was perfect, but the other came out over medium. That's something a trained chef normally wouldn't send out, and it made me feel like the kitchen might have a cook working the line rather than a chef overseeing the dishes. I do want to say the waitress was phenomenal. She was very attentive, friendly, and always made sure our coffee stayed fresh and hot. Her service was definitely the highlight of the visit. We will likely come back again because we know this restaurant can do better. Hopefully the kitchen can correct a few things and bring the consistency back.
