    Crown and NCAA
    Jennifer C.

Friday evening after work, decided to stop in. The atmosphere was very relaxed, there were a few musicians playing light jazz and the NCAA was on. Everything I needed. King Cat Club is a great lounge that offers the full Buggati's menu, what a bonus. I kicked things off with a Crown and Coke and then followed with a glass of Pinot Noir. I settled on an order of the Chicken Spring rolls for an appetizer. Chicken and Pepperjack cheese rolled and crispy fried served with a sweet jelly. They were awesome! Once I finished them, I was actually full and didn't end up ordering any other vittles even though there was a plethora of things I would love to try. So, now... it gives me a reason to keep coming back.

    The ruby cat cocktail

The King Cat Club is a really great bar located inside the Ameristar Casino. I wish I had caught our bartender's name who was serving us the other night. He made a superb chocolate martini! The Ruby Cat signature cocktail (I think that was its name) there was also really good with a sharp kick. The prices on the drinks are kind of high but the drinks and ambiance are worth it. Cigar smokers can also enjoy cigars here as well.

This is one of my favorite places to entertain guests. I have guests that come in from out of town and I have local teams. The service is top notch from the drinks, the food, and having an amazing waitress (Sarah) that takes care of you. Great atmosphere!

Service is always patient and friendly. I was here to try their seasonal drinks which are all tasty! I mixed the Salted Caramel White Russian with Banana Dave (my favorite) and it was delicious! This trip made me realize I never sit and enjoy my drink so when I saw the presentation I was WOWED. I should sit and sip more lol.

The link was clunky, and after working through it laboriously, we managed to cobble together a 40.00 drink order combined. This is where the real trouble began. We were using two different devices for two different orders. On both orders we had trouble finding the "shots" option. One party eventually did. The other order kept defaulting to adding pretzels (required by law to get alcohol to go, apparently) even though we were planning to stay on site. Finally decided to just do one order and managed to shed the pretzels. We did all of this chaotic legwork instead of chatting and being out... and then the order asked for a tip. Normally I'm one of those huge over tippers- 20% minimum, usually 30% or more, but this gave me pause. It's like being asked to tip at Walmart. I just mucked through Narwhals computer system as free labor and they want me to tip? No. Didn't matter anyway because there wasn't an option to pay on either phone. We left and went to Firebirds for happy hour instead. It's 400 feet away, fantastic drinks, great price, patrons don't have to work for free, and there is an actual reason to tip. Ironically, the payment option for Narwhals showed up after we left. Maybe it was a signal issue? Ha. Jokes on them. If you go to Firebirds, I'd recommend the cherry old fashioned or the pineapple martini. Both excellent. Can't say about Narwhals and I won't be back to ever find out.

I had an incredible time at this year's crawfish boil event, and it truly lived up to the hype…read more From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt lively, welcoming, and full of tradition in the best way. The highlight was definitely the authentic Louisiana-style feast featuring freshly boiled crawfish from Cajun Boil Company. Everything came out perfectly seasoned, and the traditional fixings made the experience feel like a true taste of the South. I also loved that the ticket included a frozen cocktail -- it was strong, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for the spice. The value at $45 for 2 lbs of crawfish, fixings, and a drink felt more than fair for the quality and experience. What made the event even more meaningful was learning about its roots in honor of Al Rubin and his long-standing tradition of hosting crawfish boils for friends and family. It felt really special to be part of something with so much heart behind it. Knowing that all net proceeds benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation made the experience even more impactful. This wasn't just a fun afternoon -- it was a celebration of community, tradition, and giving back. I would absolutely attend again and recommend it to anyone who loves good food with a purpose

There are couches, high tops, regular tables, a patio, and cool chairs for seating. They offer hot and cold drinks but some may be coffee so beware of the extra caffeine! The venue often has loud music so the guests talk loudly too so this makes for a noise venue. Plus they were showing sports on the televisions so the cheering made it even louder. This place is mostly accessible but you may need assistance ordering drinks and navigating to a seat if the lounge is crowded.
