Southwest egg rolls
Michelle L.

Beautiful location in St Charles county and a great place to relax, grab a bite, a drink or two and listen to some music. They have 2 large patio areas overlooking water, full bar, food, nice selection of wines and space for an event. The Southwest egg rolls were delicious just the right amount of spice and cheesy crispness. The Cuban sandwich was good for the most part except the pork had to much fat on it otherwise it was good, husband had the brisket and said it was delicious. They have live music on the weekends

What a beautiful place. I visited Quarry Wine Garden with my parents when they first opened, and I can't wait to go back! The wine was excellent, and the appetizers were tasty & paired well, but the real standout for me was the view of the quarry. It truly sets this place apart from other wineries. The seating options are great--you can dine outside. sit by the quarry and enjoy the view or relax inside, which is spacious and comfortable. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing day out. Highly recommend!

Came here to celebrate a birthday on a Thursday evening. They were having an event where vendors were set up selling small goods along the outer area of the dining hall. We did about 6 tastings each of different wines and then ordered a few glasses. For food we ordered the pulled pork sandwich and chips and the beef sandwich with au jus. Pros: -Lots of seating indoor and outside. There's a covered patio ceiling fans outside so this would be a great place to come in spring or summer to relax. -they have a pretty large parking lot -there's a full bar so they have wine, spirits, and beer which is really helpful when some people want wine while others don't! -they have a good sized menu with substantial food, not just cheese and crackers! -staff were super friendly and worked as a great team! Good advice on different wines as well Cons: -food was average, it took about 20 minutes to come out but it wasn't hot when we got it which was disappointing. Definitely would've preferred fries over chips as well. -although it was great to see the different vendors and items they were selling the space was very cramped. With all the tables in the area and booths set up all around it you were unfortunately bumping into people and squeezing by them to get anywhere -I like the idea of ordering at the bar but it does pose a problem when it's busy and there isn't enough staff behind the bar you will wait a while so in the future if it's busy we'd probably just settle for a glass of wine instead. -I wished there was a better selection of different wines. They had a lot of their local wines which were all different flavors (apple berry etc) but for people who don't enjoy sweet wines tailor your expectations accordingly Overall I'd come back to see if the wine selection has changed and to take advantage of the patio when it's warmer!

Unique setting next to an abandoned limestone quarry, sets the background for this perfectly named wine venue. We enjoyed some cold beer and some perfect weather on the patio. As Arnold said, "I'll be back!"

The bar tender was far from welcoming. Told us to order food at bar and there was no table service! No " hi" or "welcome". We left.

We shared appetizers and enjoyed the music. The waitstaff and barstaff were extremely friendly, as were the other patrons. We will be back during a time when they have live music, because I'm sure that is a lot of fun.

Spouse and I stopped in one night for the first time after we finished a murder mystery event…read morethinking we could get some late night bar food and a drink or two. We got seated at a tiny table right by the door which was very drafty. After getting menus, we were told they could only make us pizza (pepperoni or cheese) and maybe 1 or 2 types of finger foods. It was somewhere between 9-9:30pm so it seemed early in our opinion for the kitchen to be closed already on a Friday night, but nothing we could do to change it. If I recall the appetizer options were mozzarella sticks or toasted ravioli, but not 100% certain on that part cause it didn't appeal to us. We ordered the cheese pizza since I don't eat pork products. It was very thin with a cardboard like crust that was overly cooked on the edges (see pic with brunt crust), but the middle part was full of gooey cheese. The balance on the pizza was just off since it was overcooked on outer edges. We were starving and our options were slim so we ate it anyways. Lol The waitress offered us some complimentary popcorn from a machine in the back of the bar and then went over the speciality drink menu they had which was probably the best part of our entire experience. They do have some very eccentric libations to choose from. I chose the lavender martini (very tasty) and my spouse got a blackberry old fashioned which he also loved. The ambiance is just okay if singing karaoke completely off key with country folks is your thing. They do have some televisions for sports viewing, but this is not what I would call a "speak easy" or a sports bar. We love doing karaoke, but the vibe at this place just wasn't working for us. Overall, I would say the drink menu is what's keeping this place afloat unless people don't care about the food they eat or the company they surround themselves with. Would try again, but with a larger group of people ready to take over the karaoke scene in full force and during earlier hours so we can attempt to get some bar food too other than pizza. Also, we were coming from the murder mystery event so we were dressed up more than anyone else in the place and we felt like outsiders. This is definitely a Jean and T-shirt kind of establishment.

From the reservation, to the hostess greeting us and helping us even though we arrived an hour early, to the desserts. The server was knowledgeable and helpful in choosing our food and drinks. It's a small menu, but clearly that allows and incredible focus on the quality and the details. I cannot imagine being unhappy with anything listed. This, for us is a special occasion place, simply because of the prices, but WORTH IT.

It was decently busy for a Wednesday night but there was plenty of bar seating. The decor is beautiful and I especially appreciated their carefully curated glass and tableware--all stunning. Our bartender, whose name I fail to remember, was excellent. She had great beer recommendations. We tried the Hefe Weissbier (my favorite, which paired perfectly with both appetizers), the Meteor Pils, and the Gaffel Kolsch. I'd recommend all of them if you're a beer drinker! The spinach dumplings are a must. They are bursting with spinach flavor and swimming in a rich brown butter sauce. We also tried the alpine dip, which comes with an enormous soft pretzel. It was okay, but the dip wasn't exactly what we were expecting. I'd probably pass on the alpine dip next time. Overall an amazing experience and I look forward to enjoying a full meal there next visit. Be advised that they pride themselves on seasonal menus so if you're eyeing a menu item, get yourself there to try it before it's gone!

She did a good job though. Came here for our anniversary, and when making the reservation they ask if it's a special occasion, so we told. They never said anything or did anything special, no big deal but why ask. The first course was delicious bread and butter. And something else I'm forgetting. The one slice of bread they give should have been a warning sign. Between the two of us we ordered everything on the menu. Minus the wine/cockrails, we don't drink. I order a phenomenal lemonade though. I said "holy shit" when I took my first sip. The food was very good but the portions were so small I didn't feel like I could really establish if I liked something or not. It was unique food which is fun but i couldn't tell you if i found something new because there wasn't enough to appreciate it. It was beautifully presented and much of it was really delicious. The desserts especially. By the end of the meal we were both still hungry. It's kind of a rule for me if you're going to go out to a fancy place and spend the money you Really should not leave hungry. I would give this place 1 star for that alone but it's in a small town and I just can't. The peanut butter cookies they talk up at the end honestly felt like kind of a joke they were so small. It was literally someone's thumbprint size. You get one. We both looked at each other and laughed. We had fun but be prepared to go home and make a second dinner. Or there's always Taco Bell.
