We stopped into the social house and got some .75 cent wings to share..our waitress told us that their fry seasoning was the best around. That it was so good, people used to ask for the wings "naked" and then get it dry rubbed with the fry seasoning... so we decided to check those out. The timing was a bit off, because we got our entree salads first, and the entree came out with the wings. But whatever. The wings were cooked well. The honey bbq sauce i had on the side was nice. The fry seasoning was very salty. I found myself dipping every bite in the honey bbq to cut the salt flavor down. My entree was the chicken marsala. We were told that the potato of the day was mashed... which goes great with marsala... so, i ordered that with my chicken marsala, but got it loaded (bacon/cheese/butter/sour cream). Then the waitress asked me what side, I wanted.. so i found the sides menu and picked mac and cheese. Cool. Ready to rock. A handful of minutes later she came back and clarified that i wanted the mac and cheese, and i said yeah, absolutely. She laughed and said ok i thought you said potatoes. To which i said yes. We kind of looked at each other and she told me i only get one side and she put in the mac and cheese, and i asked about the potatoes, etc... i ultimately ended up paying to have potatoes too which was 3 or 4 dollars more. Then to get it loaded was an additional $2. I wanted both, so it is what it is... but i was mildly annoyed. The mac and cheese was very watery and lackluster. The potatoes didnt come with butter or sour cream. The marsala was tasty, but the chicken was a bit overcooked. I initally wanted to throw this rating a 2 star. But, my other half, had the smothered pork special... She said that it was very tasty, had a lot of flavor, creamy, and was overall good. She had it served over the mashed potatoes...and enjoyed it. She said it was a bit tough, but that she would give it a higher rating than 2.... so i settled on 3. We may be back to try some pizza or a sandwich...

Its a fun atmosphere and the service staff is upbeat and happy. I love the way its decorated, with the string lights and it just gives a great comfy vibe. After calling several places trying to reserve space for about 30 people on a Saturday, I spoke with Brian at B Halls. He immediately said it would not be a problem, and everything was great from there. He was responsive, helped us with catering choices, and even allowed us to substitute a few main-menu items for picky eaters. They confirmed details ahead of time, let us come in early to decorate, and made setup easy. Lucy was our main contact once we arrived, and she and the other staff were attentive and helpful throughout the event. The food was excellent, everyone enjoyed it, and they boxed up leftovers for guests to take home. Great communication, great service, and genuinely wonderful customer care. Thank you to Brian, Lucy, and the B Halls team.

We were surrounded by a number of big groups who were there for the pre-party. As a result, our server was very distracted. We had to ask for the same thing over and over. And even then, unsweet tea arrived sweet and so on. We asked that our apps come out first, but of course our mains arrived about 2 minutes later. So I guess technically they did arrive before. Ha! Food wise, the B Hall bone in wings had a good flavor, but they weren't super crisp. The mini tacos were crispy and delicious. The steak sandwiches were delicious, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Those were probably the star pick. The lemon pepper wings were juicy and tasty and the panini was flavorful. But the Italian salad was a total let down. I have had it here before and it was delicious. This time, it was soggy (waterlogged) and did not have the traditional STL flavor punch. I was bummed. The half smoked turkey club sandwich with bacon was tasty. I really want to give a 4-star rating, but can't today. The distracted server, wrong drink orders and the salad just knocked down our experience. But this will not stop us from coming back. We still love you B Halls!
