The waitress was super friendly and getting slammed with folks coming in to see the band. First off smoking is allowed in this establishment, not my cup of tea but that's okay maybe it is for you. I got the Reuben and a baked potato. Hubby got a patty melt and fries with cheese. Rueben - the rye bread wasn't toasted much so the butter made it a little mushy. The sauerkraut was grilled nicely before it was put on the sandwich the corned beef did not have much seasoning to it at all, tasted like shaved plain beef. The baked potato was just that :) Patty melt cheese fries - the cheese had no flavor at all. Literally was like dipping it into tasteless goo. Patty melt was okay. Very light on the onion. To say the least -disappointing. They have video slots, crane machine, and a coin dozer. Only one waitress for the entire place and it's a band night. Hopefully she's able to make good tips with the tough time keeping up. Some people just don't understand. Will we return?? Probably not. Really not for us.

However, we walk in the door and it was like getting smacked upside the face w/ a dirty ashtray. It's great that you allow smoking. I wouldn't mind sneaking in a little vape, but Damn... put on a fan or an air filter/ cleaner, open a fricken window. Even smokers don't want to sit and eat in a thick cloud. I thought, well the door's by the bar, let's walk over to the tables maybe there a cross breeze or something. It got thicker and grosser the further in. We looked at each other and laughed. No way could we eat in a place that smells like a filthy sh1t hole. Maybe the food's awesome, if you're nose blind. Or maybe this is the kind of place to have a balls out mosh pit, and we're stupid for stopping in for food. I'll never know. But if you are a die hard smoker, this is the perfect place for you. If you are not a smoker, you sure will smell like it when you're done eating here. Man, I don't even remember it being that bad in the 70's.. you could smoke everywhere. But they knew enough to have fans, or maybe we were nose blind .

We stopped into the social house and got some .75 cent wings to share..our waitress told us that their fry seasoning was the best around. That it was so good, people used to ask for the wings "naked" and then get it dry rubbed with the fry seasoning... so we decided to check those out. The timing was a bit off, because we got our entree salads first, and the entree came out with the wings. But whatever. The wings were cooked well. The honey bbq sauce i had on the side was nice. The fry seasoning was very salty. I found myself dipping every bite in the honey bbq to cut the salt flavor down. My entree was the chicken marsala. We were told that the potato of the day was mashed... which goes great with marsala... so, i ordered that with my chicken marsala, but got it loaded (bacon/cheese/butter/sour cream). Then the waitress asked me what side, I wanted.. so i found the sides menu and picked mac and cheese. Cool. Ready to rock. A handful of minutes later she came back and clarified that i wanted the mac and cheese, and i said yeah, absolutely. She laughed and said ok i thought you said potatoes. To which i said yes. We kind of looked at each other and she told me i only get one side and she put in the mac and cheese, and i asked about the potatoes, etc... i ultimately ended up paying to have potatoes too which was 3 or 4 dollars more. Then to get it loaded was an additional $2. I wanted both, so it is what it is... but i was mildly annoyed. The mac and cheese was very watery and lackluster. The potatoes didnt come with butter or sour cream. The marsala was tasty, but the chicken was a bit overcooked. I initally wanted to throw this rating a 2 star. But, my other half, had the smothered pork special... She said that it was very tasty, had a lot of flavor, creamy, and was overall good. She had it served over the mashed potatoes...and enjoyed it. She said it was a bit tough, but that she would give it a higher rating than 2.... so i settled on 3. We may be back to try some pizza or a sandwich...
