I had occasion to go out to Cori's a week ago, and had a chance to observe the atmosphere, the food, and the staff. This holds up that interesting adage that little local places in the middle of nowhere are awesome. I had their Earls burger, and while just a little more done than I normally pursue, the flavor was spot on. Better yet were the tater tots that were absolutely dreamy. They have bands playing regularly, and a friendly staff that makes you feel like a local. It's a haul, but I'm thinking I'll be back again sometime soon. read more

Went on a Saturday close to opening time. Got the Kettle Chips, loaded which were really good. Our intention was to just have a beer or so but the menu was so inticing. I am looking forward to going back. From Eureka MO this was only a half hour drive. They have TV's. Touchtunes....and an awesome outdoor area for when it warms up. Friendly good service! read more

Marthasville, Missouri - "Cori's" is a bar I will visit whenever in the area. The bartenders & customers are friendly & interactive. A family of community folks who are fun to be around & they all gave me "more smiles than I came in with". The atmosphere is comfortable. TheTV's were on channels other than sports, which was great. The walls were filled with bar flair, including local historical pictures of the bar. The food selections were plentiful and fair priced. "Cori's" is a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite bar! The food isn't bad but for some reason this place still gets away with allowing smoking inside which makes breathing, much less eating unbearable for non-smokers. Would be interesting to know how they get around the laws for this. read more

Fish was fried perfectly! Breading was an overdone nice and white crispy and the cauliflower bake was delicious not overly loaded with cheese! Good food, cold beer everything's good except a little smoke in your face once in a while not good

My go to lunch is the chicken salad with the homemade ranch. Do yourself a favor and order off the chalkboard specials. They are from scratch and not one has let me down. Wait staff is top shelf, food is great and bands almost non stop on weekends make it a great time read more

We didn't get checked on for another drink and waited for check. Stopped in for lunch/dinner after visiting Lake Creek Winery on a Saturday afternoon. Had the fried chicken. Good old fashion country batter, light, crispy, not too salty or sweet and chicken cooked just right all the way through. Mashed potatoes and gravy and slaw sides were quite tasty. The menu is diverse but the cook seems to have a handle on it because our order was delivered promptly and what is prepared exceptionally. My grilled vegetable Rapp was so delicious I devoured it and I found the chicken wings were some of the best I've ever had. We came here to get lunch, not a political lecture. We went here since there was outdoor seating, but it didn't matter because the place was packed and nobody was wearing masks besides us. The waitress was nice to everyone except us, then started laying in on us for walking in with masks on, telling us "they don't work anyway" and cause "oxygen deprivation" (despite the fact that she and almost everyone else in the place were smoking, but the irony was obviously lost on her). She even made a racist comment about China before storming off after taking our order. Believe in whatever it is you want to, that's you're prerogative as an American. However, maybe think twice about being condescending toward and preachy to customers about your views, especially when it comes to politics. read more

This is a great local bar/ restaurant. Family friendly, great home made food and excellent prices. It can get a little loud on Fridays and Saturdays so I prefer going mid week. Friendly service as well. Parking can be limited but well worth it! read more

We were staying in a cabin on vacation and had heard about Twin Gables so we went into town to try it and it was amazing! We had the porked up waffle fries and they were amazing! Ok... I enjoy a scenery of things to look at while waiting for service, people to watch, and some music is always good too. We came on a Saturday night and loved it. We were welcomed by the waitresses and seated. Drinks came quick, and food was shortly after. We had wings that were just over the average bar food. I had the Motha-Clucka which was phenomenal! My wife had a chicken sandwich that she usually leaves half for later... ate the whole thing! The people watching, live band setting up and playing, and the atmosphere was all on point! read more

The drive was a little long but worth it! Great home cooking and wonderful mixed drinks. The waitress and cooks were working alone but they made every customer feel like family. Bartenders made a very weak drink and we're not engaging in the slightest way. They seemed like they were in a rush , but we were among only a handful of customers. What do you want , here you go . You guys want food, here's a menu. That sort of quick exchange .The smoking patrons were drunk and knocking over chairs. They were cussing and asking for shots. The bartenders commented on the rude language but showed no interest in making a effort to control their bar. The bar was mainly tables and chairs and a few bar stools facing a disorganized bar. No reason to stop in . If you use yelp , you probably not the type of person who would enjoy this depressing bar. read more
