This is a small place on the edge of Soulard with friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, really good sandwiches, and amazing tater tots. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a brioche had a a good amount of bacon - usually places skimp on the bacon. I've also had that on an English muffin and it's also good. It took me about 15 minutes to get our two sandwiches and order of tots. I wasn't in any hurry so I just enjoyed my drink. There were a couple of orders ahead of mine, but I could tell that they made each order when ordered. Nothing reheated. I'll add this to my list of brunch places to frequent. read more

We live in the area and I'm not sure how we've missed this spot but wow. We came in, hungover AF, on a Saturday...and they took care of us. Prices seemed fair for the food you got and they cooked everything pretty quickly. The place itself isn't very big but plenty of seating for how quick they get food out. The aesthetic is very cute and welcoming, and we loved the games on all the tables, we played a couple rounds of dominos while we were there. The food was amazing. SO GOOD. We both got a different sandwich and both were bomb. Their menu doesn't seem very big but I promise you'll want to try everything on it. Also, pro tip, get the tots! Such a great experience. So, based on the reviews, I was expecting a tad bit more flavor. Got myself a Bloody Mary which was okay. No accoutrements at all though... I ordered the Ropa Vieja and it was good, but not great. The tater tots had the most flavor (probably the oil...). It's a pretty small place and they served everything in bags, as if they're wanting you to take it to go. I saw an old Riverfront Times article on their wall where they were listed as one of the 5 best breakfast places in St. Louis, and I just don't get it. IMO, good, but not great. Cafe Miami is a delight! It definitely has a nice, bright vibe to it and I'm definitely kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. I wasn't planning on eating since I had just had lunch, but definitely plan on doing so next time. I was greeted by an employee at the counter, he was warm and welcoming and gave me a little history about the spot. He also offered me key lime pie samples while I waited for my coffee. The cafe con leche was pretty good, but too much of the "espumita", which overpowers the coffee flavor and leaves it a bit too sweet. Cortado was decent. Tried the media noche - does not look like a media noche, nor tastes close to it. But overall a good warm ham and cheese sandwich. Highly recommend! When Kitchen House closed, we were looking for a good breakfast bagel sandwich place to go. This is the place. It's exactly what Soulard needed. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and quick, and it had a warm comfortable vibe. It reminded me of a coffee shop in a little beach town. The inside is fairly small, but they have several tables and you can easily take things to go. One thing I wished (this is such a personal preference but I hope they see this lol) is that they'd wrap the bagel sandwiches like classic NY deli style and cut them in half. New favorite breakfast place We tried the everything breakfast sandwich, hash brown, pastelito, and cafe con leche. The pastelito is the stuff food dreams are made of the flaky sugary pastry with the guava filling was the perfect sweet side to go with the savory bagel sandwich. The cafe con leche has espumita in it, which I was previously unfamiliar with. It had the perfect level of sweet without totally obliterating the espresso flavor. Cafe Miami is such an amazing addition to the Soulard neighborhood foodie scene! Dropped by on a Saturday morning for breakfast with my boyfriend. The vibe is so authentically Miami diner! The staff is super friendly and helpful as they described some of the coffee drinks to us. Really enjoyed the colada drink. It was sweet and strong. Even though they suggest to share it, I could drink like 5 of them because they are so tasty. I ate the Mihami Sunrise sandwich which was super unique.
