I came for a quick breakfast before an appointment and saw there's a french toast special!! I LOVE french toast and most definitely anything blueberry-lemon flavor. The plate was presented beautifully! It consists of a lemon curd/sauce on the bottom, 2 crispy french toast sticks that are soo soft on the inside and topped with blueberry compote, thick whipped cream and fresh mint! I scraped the plate. Best french toast dish I've ever had in St. louis.

I found this gem of a spot walking around Washington ave On a chill Saturday the ambiance was a lil busy from takeout order and diners waiting to be seated I enjoyed my biscuit and even had some left to take home My server was the sweetest she gave me her top pics and I ended up with the biscuits and gravy ... it's so good came out pretty fast Hot and made from scratch.

We came here for a nice quick brunch/lunch option. Place is relatively small with limited seating options. Staff was friendly, ordering was easy, and food came out relatively fast (although we were the only ones there when we initially came in). We ordered the Goat biscuit, Carbonora Tots, and the OG biscuit. The goat biscuit is decent. Biscuit was moderately tender/flaky, but not as much as it could've been. The fried chicken patty is okay, not dry. The best part about it was the Calabrian chili aioli, although they didn't give enough of it. I think the OG biscuit was slightly better; I feel the flavors were more dynamic there and didn't fall as flat. The carbonara tots were good in concept, but the execution landed a little short; it tasted like carbonara, but carbonara is such a textural dish so the concepts maybe don't mesh as well. Perhaps, it needed a carbonara-inspired sauce rather than just bits of egg york? I think the common theme is that all of the dishes were very flat, the predominant flavor was salty, and the waves of flavors and textures and balance that I expected never came. Overall, okay place. Probably wouldn't come back. 3/5 stars.

The biscuits are big and fluffy. The Cinnamon Rolls are outta this world. So you cannot go wrong at TBJ. My recent visit was to kill time before picking a friend up who was his doctor a block away. The Biscuit Joint is primarily a grab-n-go type restaurant. There was seating at the high bar top and some counter sitting in the front window. Giving you the choice of watching the magic of making biscuits or watching the public walk by outside. I choose to watch people cruising by. I picked my stool and placed my table marker so it could be easily seen. I was #10. It didn't take long and my "Goat" with a side of Tots was presented to me. The young man (I assumed he was an owner) who brought me my order, informed me that he was holding my to-go Cinnamon Roll behind the counter and to pick it up after I finished my biscuit sandwich. The Goat is a a fried chicken biscuit, with bread and butter pickles and calabrian chili aioli. The chicken was crispy and the aioli gave just the right amount of flavor and heat. Pickle fans know, Bread & Butter on any sandwich makes it top notch. Typically, I am not a tots man. However, tots paired with a biscuit sammie is a perfect combination. My only complaint would be that for the price, I wish the tots were included instead of having to add them as a side. When finished dining, I retrieved my Cinnamon Roll from behind the counter. They had it all bagged up and ready to go. It was sitting on top of the ovens, so it was still nice and warm. I did not eat the roll until later in the day. Being avid recycler, I was pleated to see their to-go vessels are eco-friendly. I plated and microwaved my roll for just a few seconds and enjoyed while watching Jeopardy. OMG - it was so-so good. I can only imagine how delicious it would have been if I had eaten it fresh in the restaurant. I'm an old farm boy, so I have got to go back and try the Biscuits and Gravy.

The food was amazing! The owners were very nice ma sincere. When asked questions about items in the memo they had no problem explaining each item. You can tell they care about the foo they put out. The gravy was just the right consistency and the biscuits were soft and fit the dish perfect. The chicken and waffles were good. The slight kick on the breading of the chicken added just enough to the dish. The waffle was just the right amount of crispy and too soggy. The loaded tots were crisp and the sauce was epic! We even got try a new sauce they just made ! Will definitely be back.

Came on a semi-crowded afternoon. But was able to find good seating. I was greeted with a smile and kind service. I ordered biscuits with chicken sausage to eat there. Then a biscuit n chicken sandwich n cinnamon roll to go. The place was clean and lively. The biscuit on the chicken sausage gravy had a unique dense texture for a biscuit. Almost tasted like cornbread. Very good and hearty meal. The biscuit-chicken sandwich was disappointing; the chicken patty was thin n didn't have a great flavor. Cinnamon roll tasted great.

An incredible must try breakfast spot! My husband and I tried the Dally P (fried chicken, bacon, cheese, honey dijonaise) and an order of breakfast sausage biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy was rich and savory and I loved the hint of sweetness from the maple syrup drizzled on top. The honey dijonaise on the Dally P was the perfect sauce to balance the saltiness from the bacon, cheese and chicken. Both of these are worthy of a reorder next visit, but I'd love to try more of their menu! The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was made to order but came out quickly. There was plenty of high top seating along the windows and bar area. We will definitely be back!

Came here after night shift one morning for breakfast, the food is great, though seating is limited (no tables, just countertops). Biscuits are fresh and delicious, tater tots loaded are fantastic. Overall great place for a quick and delicious bite to eat, if you're looking for a breakfast spot with room for a group just know it's limited space and you'll have to crane your neck down the counter to talk to each other if there's more than 3 people.

The food at the biscuit joint is out of this world. It is such a cute and quaint place to dine in for breakfast and the service is absolutely phenomenal!

The Biscuit Joint is such a nice, cozy spot! You definitely want to get there early if you plan to sit inside--there are only a few seats available. They also have some outdoor seating if you don't mind sitting outside. I had the Ribbon of Hope and my friend had the Catfish Plate--both were absolutely amazing! The flavor of everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

Wow! I came across the place when looking for a bite to eat after sunrise yoga and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere itself was super chill, small spot with great music. I will say I enjoyed my interaction with the cook more than what I got with the cashier, she just didn't seem to have an attitude the matched the environment and she was on her phone when I went to order so I just stood there awkwardly until she was ready to place my order... aside from that the food was phenomenal. Bacon well done just like I asked, eggs cooked perfectly and seasoned and THE BISCUIT?! Flaky, crunchy, moist and flavorful. I ate it with butter, dipped it in egg yolk and tried it with the sausage gravy and I genuinely couldn't get enough - it was so good!

This place is an amazing breakfast spot. We came on a Sunday; it was our first time here. It's all counter seating with maybe about 15 barstools. My husband stood next to me while I sat in one of the stools. He did not mind standing because the food was worth it. We shared all three dishes and it was more than enough for the both of us. Service was great! Staff was very friendly. This place will definitely be a spot to visit every time we're in town.

Great little breakfast spot Downtown. Came here for breakfast on Juneteenth. Limited seating but we got a spot in the window. The mushroom sage gravy was incredible. I love delicious vegetarian options. Biscuit was delicious! It was big and fluffy. We will definitely return!

Stopped by late morning for a quick bite, I have been here a few times…read morebefore but never actually ordered anything but its location is pretty good, right in the heart of the grove. There wasn't that much line when I went, they take your other at the kiosk by the bar. They have a large assortment of sandwiches, comes in whole OR half (which is half the price of a whole). I ordered 2 half sandwiches, "The Meatball" and "The Steak Out". It didn't take long at all to make my sandwiches and they also have options to customize specialty sandwiches if specific toppings are wanted. The Steak Out was the 1st sandwich tried, and was the best one out of the two. The steak was cooked medium rare but isn't too rare at all or overcooked past that if you are worried about that either. Not only that, but the jalapenos and the pepper mayo are to die for, and they didn't completely soak it in sauce (which is a common concern as well). Everything tastes so freshly made, with half a sandwich honestly being more than enough for 1 sitting. Overall rating 8.9/10. The Meatball was very good as well, meatballs were cooked well throughout and tender to the bite. I am not completely mad at the Baguette being the bread of choice but they couldn't have went wrong with ciabatta neither. It was a very solid sandwich, nothing too extraordinary but nothing I can really complain about neither. Overall rating 8.3/10. In past visits, I have also tried the Enzo Gorlomi (basically a spicy italian) which I thought was better than both sandwiches I tried during that visit, but I may be biased because I love spicy italian sandwiches. Should still try though in my opinion. All in all, I would definitely come back to this place when I'm in the area, pricing is pretty good for the food amount and quality you are getting. Vibes are cool in there, they seem like a business with a lot of experience doing what they do. I wouldn't say they are the absolute best in St. Louis... yet, but they are definitely up there for sure. They are also open until 1:30AM Tues - Sat so its a great late night option.

Super filling and flavorful. My friend got the smoked beet sandwich and you can really taste the smokiness and it was like a vegetarian BBQ. Another friend did the soup and sandwich combo and loved it. Our server was really sweet and forgot a couple things but honestly given how slammed they were I completely get it. The bread lives up to the hype. Definitely a must if you're in the area and want a really solid lunch.

My coworkers, who also ran, insisted on meeting up here. They didn't really run, they walked. I can't walk a 5K, because pull your head out of your ass. I could have ordered something light, but I figured I'd go in, since I won't be returning. I don't have the means or the interest to catch a soccer game at the nearby stadium, and even if I did, I heard they've got good food vendors. What do I need with this place? Depending on how much they want for beer across the street, it might make sense to pregame here, especially if they're pulling the same BS they pull at Riverport where the police roam the parking lot and try to prevent you from drinking in your car, as one does. My little brother's running group had a function here after a marathon I ran a few weeks ago. Free food and drinks. I'm not even a member of that group, but I was dressed in running attire and wearing a medal. You best believe I got my drink on. Did it aid in my recovery? No. No, it did not. I got the sense that they had busboys and randos from off the street running orders and that this place might not be fully staffed except for on game day. That was also the case yesterday evening. The guy waiting our table obviously didn't know what he was doing, but he seemed chill and ultimately got the job done. Hopefully my boss left him a tip. The menu consists of standard sports bar fare, including two sandwiches that purport to feature meat from the Carnegie Deli. I found this highly improbable, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to join the ranks of Bowzer from Sha Na Na and Arthur Fonzarelli. This may have been my one opportunity in life. You can get either a basic pastrami on rye, for purists, or people with certain dietary restrictions, or the Reuben. I of course went with the latter. I found it surprisingly neat, without too much sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and what have you, to where it gets all sloppy. The slices of meat were uniform to the point where I was concerned, but damn it if it wasn't moist and flavorful. Nullus. It's pastrami, so it's supposed to be processed anyway. It comes with your choice of fries, chips or some sort of salad. For chips, you can get Red Hot Riplets, which is nice for tourists. It'll save them from having to go to a Schnucks. We should all be lucky. I went with the fries, for the sake of citizen food journalism. Surprisingly, these were shoestring fries, not unlike at a Steak 'n Shake. You don't see that as often these days. Were they great? No. But it was still kinda neat that they had them. Really, you're just going here because it's either across the street from the soccer stadium or (I think) built into Union Station. In that sense, it's almost like they're doing you a favor by offering food that's not half bad. What else are you going to do, try to go drink in your car?
