French Dip
Candi M.

We ate in at Pickles. Plentiful indoor seating. Very busy with to-go orders at lunch. I had the Pickles Club on sourdough which would have been better toasted. The bread crumbled away under the sandwich innards. My husband had the French dip which was pretty basic with roast beef & Swiss. Loved the really spicy Route 11 chips...beware if you don't like spicy!! All-in all a quick stop for a lunch!

Excellent service. Everybody was friendly and respectful- it was great to have a nice clean place to grab a bite out of the rain! The pickle club was excellent, and they serve early lunch as well as breakfast (at least around 10am when I was in). I got a T-shirt to commemorate my visit to St. Louis. Overall very happy with the experience and I'd certainly come back with family and friends in the future. Thanks guys!

Italian Sub

Nice staff Walk in, near the hotels near the arch Tried the Italian sub- it was delicious! The meat portion was generous. Soft bread. What made the sandwich was the sweet mustard. I would have tried more sandwiches if I had time

First time here. It is a cute delicious shop. Friendly service. Walked up and ordered a pickled club. Ham, turkey, bacon, swiss, lettuce, tomato, avocado spread. U pick the bread u want it on. Served with pickle. U can pick a side and drink to make meal. But this delicious sandwich is really good. Stacked high with everything. Would recommend.

Great local place with delicious foods. The shop was clean and we were immediately greeted upon entering. We ordered a Ruben and a wrap and they were prepared quickly. The staff was also super helpful with answering our tourist questions about St. Louis. Both sandwiches were delicious and you can tell the ingredients were all fresh. They weren't lacking in meats or ingredients as many places are these days! Plenty of tables if you wanted to eat there, or can take it to go picnic under the arch

Amazing little deli in downtown St. Louis. The food was good. A lot of sandwiches to choose from. Prices were little pricey. Restaurant was clean and busy.

Pickles Deli is a convenient spot to grab lunch to go if you're in the area around the Gateway Arch. I tried out the Italian Sub along with a side of their Mustard Potato Salad. The sandwich is not the largest deli sandwich it'll fill you up if you get a side and/or a bag of chips. The flavors in the sandwich are well-balanced and there's a generous amount of meat inside. My favorite part of the whole meal however were the sweet pickles that were included. Next time I order from here, I'm definitely asking for extra pickles on the side. The mustard potato salad is not too saucy and I like the large potato chunks and tanginess to the salad. Definitely would stop by again! I recommend ordering ahead on their website if you don't want to wait in store. Orders that are ready to be picked up are just sitting on a table in front of the deli counter.

Broccoli Cheese Soup, Pasta Salad and Macaroni Salad

I landed in St Louis and was starving when i found this Gem. Pickles Menu has so many good things for a Deli. It 's pretty basic on the inside but so many people just order to go. The place was packed but the line moved quickly! I only ordered Broccoli Cheese soup with pasta salad & macaroni salad since i was going to sleep right after this and it was delicious. i highly recommend this deli when in St. Louis

We ate here after a long, hot day of walking and it was perfection. I would recommend anyone who is nearby stop at this phenomenal sandwich shop. Barely any wait and such great menu options.

Veggie sandwich on gluten free bread
Maggie D.

Had a lovely time here after stumbling across this place while walking downtown. It was a super cute urban deli with kind and happy staff. There were lots of healthy options and dietary accommodations including gluten free bread. I got the veggie sandwich on GF bread and it was delicious! Food came out fast and delivered to the table. Wishing I had a Pickles Deli in my hometown!

Breakfast Menu

Delicious, quick, reasonably priced breakfast! We ate here several days while staying nearby. They have gluten free bread and take precautions to avoid cross contamination for gluten allergies. Cheerful service and atmosphere.

Coleslaw

This was my first time trying Pickles Deli AND it was delivery and I throughly enjoyed my meal. I ordered the corned beef sandwich on marbled rye with spicy mustard, mayo and pickles. So sooo good. I haven't had a corned beef in a long time. The coleslaw wasn't what I expected because it wasn't mayo based, however, the flavor of this coleslaw is unique! Sweet, acidic, crunchy! A refreshing side dish. My delivery was timely and my food arrived well packaged and warm. I will order from them again. I look forward to trying other menu items in the future.

It looks small and inviting at first... don't be fooled, it's actually a giant sandwich! Comes w pickle.

I chose this one on a whim because I had just come from a yoga class, so it seemed like the universe wanted it to be in my belly. The Yogi has ham, roast beef, salami, Provel cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, deli dressing and pepper mayo on a baguette. None of the things besides the lettuce and tomato seem remotely yogi-ish, but we'll look past that. They asked me if I wanted the sandwich toasted, and of course I said yes, because when you have the option to get a sandwich toasted, you get it toasted. I started eating it, and I literally could not stop until I was done, and when it was over, I was a little sad. The bread was nicely chewy but also crispy from being toasted, and all of the ingredients were warm and melty and savory. This is one of the best-tasting sandwiches that I've ever eaten! I got my sandwich to go, because the place was incredibly busy. There were lots of people ordering food, but also there was some sort of trivia game happening. They have a pool table and some board games that you can play at your table. They also have a bar where you can get a little drink. (I did not.) The Gramophone seems to be a gathering space for people from all walks of life, because I saw so many different people here.

I'm a sucker for a great BLT, so the BBBLT immediately caught my attention. Piled high with bacon (and I mean piled high), romaine lettuce, tomato and Cholula mayo on sourdough, this was one terrific sandwich. They certainly didn't skimp on the bacon! To go along with my sandwich, I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Soup. Made with creamy cheese and fresh jalapeños, topped with green onions, this soup packed some serious heat. Right up my alley. Both the sandwich and soup were fantastic. The Gramophone has a casual, laid-back atmosphere. You order and pay at the counter, find a table and wait for your food to arrive. We stopped in a little after 1 p.m. on a Saturday, and unfortunately, the wait was considerably longer than expected. I'd estimate at least 30 minutes, possibly more, before our sandwiches arrived. Maybe we just caught them at a particularly busy time, but that's a long wait for sandwiches, especially when you're already hungry. On the plus side, there was great live music to enjoy while we waited, which certainly helped. Despite the wait, I'd gladly return. The sandwiches are creative, the portions generous, and that Jalapeño Popper Soup alone is worth another visit. Great food, great music, just don't arrive in a hurry!

The Arch Cafe is at the back of the Arch, by where you get the elevator cars up to the top. I ordered the raviolis at the back of the cafe and they were ready in about 6 minutes. There were about ten of them in my basket, and they had a nice toast and not really greasy with a sprinkling of parmesan on top. The marinara sauce was cold, I would have preferred hot, but they were very tasty! Not bad for a place the bottom of The Arch. I don't need to try toasted raviolis again, but I was glad I did!

Coming to St. Louis and not having Toasted Ravioli is a crime in my opinion, so I was happy to see that they had included this regional staple on their menu. I had planned on ordering some. Unfortunately, I saw a sign posted stating that they do not offer any of the hot food items to-go, and they were being served on reusable, acrylic plates. There was a woman there complaining that she'd purchased $20 barbecue ribs and couldn't take her leftovers to-go because they have no packaging available for that. She was upset, but the sign was clearly posted. I grabbed overpriced chips and a Minute Maid apple juice that cost me $8.25. Definitely "tourist attraction" pricing. The cashier was nice and provided fast service, so it was an overall good experience.
