Pros: there was no wait on a Friday evening during happy hour and the margarita is huge. However, the happy hour food was not good... the fish tacos were so bland and dry. The best part of the meal were the free chips and salsa. It was really loud inside. For a nice view of the marina, there was a wait to be seated outside. There is validate parking but you will need to pay about $2.
Plenty of parking. This place can get packed VERY quickly. Good for apps and drinks. Staff is super friendly. One thing that I didn't like was the restroom smell. The men's restroom smell crept into the women's restroom. I know this is uncontrollable but my goodness hahahaha it could make anyone sober quick. Their salsa with chips were good. Servers were on point and drinks were made quickly with love. Views are awesome. We sat in the bar area outside.
Located in Shoreline Village and very convenient walk on the overpass if you are staying at the Hyatt. Fun atmosphere, good chips and salsa, the margaritas are big and delicious. Their carne asada is a must and I had the combination with garlic shrimp. A friend had the fajitas and loved them as well. The staff is friendly and accommodating and sitting out on the patio on a pretty day a must. If you are driving, the parking is paid, but most restaurants will validate so your fee is lowered.
Snuck in a brunch outside before it got hot. It is a nice water front location. We got there at 11 when they opened and didn't have to wait to be seated. They have a lunch menu for smaller portions. I got the green cheese enchilada from there. It was delicious. The green sauce was so flavorful. I loved the black beans and the cheese on them. They have a paid parking lot. Don't forget to get your ticket validated to get a discount on parking.
Went here for lunch on Grand Prix Friday. 04.17.2026 I was surprised how fast we were able to get seated! Greeted and seated. Chips and Salsa were served. It was busy because of the large crowds. We waited for our waiter to come back so we can order some drinks. Once he came back we ordered our drinks which we waited another good 15 minutes for him to return with our drinks. The time line was too long of a wait. He left again, waited another 15 minutes to take our food order. Lol. Ordered my shrimp cocktail along with other entrees. Our waiter was ghosting us every 15 minutes. Overall, the ambiance was busy. It is expected because of the grandprix event. This place needs to up their staffing when events like this is taking place. Food was good but service was dissapointing.

Service: (Score: 10) The Senorita who served us first provided good service; the second waiter was attentive to our table and checked if our food was okay. Food: (Score: 6) Appetizers: *Guacamole (10) *Asada Nachos (9) *Chips and Salsa (10) Main Course: *Shrimp Green Enchiladas, pinto beans, and red rice (The enchiladas were cold, the sauce was average, and the rice with vegetables tasted like frozen food). *Carnitas Wet Burrito (The red sauce tasted ordinary, the carnitas were disappointing, the black beans needed more flavor, and the rice needed more flavor). I used my cutlery to signal my opinion of the meal. Drinks: (Score: 5) We ordered 3 micheladas, and the black pepper flavor was very strong.
Great location, shoreline village. View of the boats, relaxing and on a Sunday, it's hard to beat the atmosphere. So I ordered a Bloody Mary and their Version is extremely sweet. So I had to return it . I the ordered a Coronita Margarita and that is/was tasty. They do have many different offerings of tequilas. And honestly fairly priced. I started with the Fondido de queso basically a Chorizo fondue. It was very good, only the chips were stale. Not all the chips so just so you know, I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The service has been very accommodating. The flavor from the mole was perfect, smooth rich a touch of heat and chocolate. Very flavorful and with the sides of black beans and rice, a tasty pairing. There is side of sweet corn , completing the plate. Great dish. I arrived at 1130 which apparently was the best time. By noon the place was packed and jumping. TVs for the games and plenty of room, so not so crowded despite the amount of people. Great place for a date , or family/friends gathering.
The service was good, it was pretty empty but at first it seems like you're going to get good Mexican food with some good margaritas or cocktails. It was very plain flavor food. Even the guacamole has no lemon, spices, or salt. The chips were crunchy and good but had no salsa that went well with it. The resturant might need new recipes or a new chef. No cocktails and margaritas could be better
On this busy Friday night when we arrived we were seated right away. Our table was along the edge of the walking path with a picture perfect view of the marina. The staff was friendly and attentive. The drinks we ordered arrived ice cold and delicious. The food was cooked to perfection. For an authentic meal, this place is definitely worth trying. They offer indoor and outdoor patio seating that can accommodate small to large groups. Give them a try.
Happy hour prices + view of the marina are fantastic. We've only gone during happy hour because we just love the outdoor patio & the prices. No wait at 5pm on a Thursday. Patio: covered on top with heaters. They pull down additional side covers along the patio when it's super windy, so sitting outside is still very comfortable no matter the weather. Inside: dim and moody lighting. Food: 4 fish tacos, chips/salsa (so fresh & crispy), taquitos, pulled pork sliders (skip), michelada and marg for $40. Service: good. Food comes out fast. Definitely recommend for casual fare with great views!
The service was friendly as always and the food was delicious. I'm glad that this place has stayed consistently good. Food came out hot and everything had lots of flavor. The cilantro lime salad had jumbo shrimp. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes.
We've been coming to Tequila Jack's for years, and my father-in-law has been a weekly regular for even longer. Because of that, it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. The margaritas are excellent, which is honestly what has kept us coming back despite repeated negative interactions with the same hostess lady over the years. This isn't based on a single visit. In 2022 after our daughter suffered a stroke as an infant, we would occasionally bring her in a stroller and simply ask for a table where we wouldn't be blocking walkways or inconveniencing other guests. Even then, we were consistently met with an attitude that made us feel like we were inconveniencing her by asking for a simple accommodation. Most recently, on April 24th, my husband and I came in for a date night. We were told an estimated wait time and received a text when our table was ready, but we missed the notification and checked back in about 10-15 minutes later. We completely understood that our original table had been given away. We were then seated at a table we weren't comfortable with and politely asked if we could wait for another option. We made it clear we were willing to wait. Instead of being treated courteously, we were met with eye-rolling, dismissive responses, and a tone that made us feel unwelcome. When I later asked if there was an estimate on the wait, I was again met with a curt response that felt unnecessarily hostile by the same hostess. At that point, we decided to leave. What disappointed me most wasn't the wait or the table assignment. Restaurants get busy, and we understand that. It was the feeling that, after years of visiting this establishment, we were treated like an annoyance rather than valued customers by the same hostess lady. One would hope that being married to a manager would inspire higher standards of customer service, not the impression that basic professionalism is optional in the hospitality industry. Great margaritas bring people in. Consistently good customer service is what keeps them coming back.
Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait, with plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks and dishes. It leans heavily toward Mexican food but also includes some American options like burgers and buffalo wings. I ordered a combination plate, which comes with 2-3 items of your choice, rice and beans, and Mexican corn pudding. I chose the pork tamales and taquitos. The pork tamales were pretty good, but the taquitos were bland and I didn't end up finishing them. The sides were decent overall, and the Mexican corn pudding was my favorite part of the meal. We also got unlimited chips and dip, which was a nice bonus. For drinks, I ordered the "Scooby Snack," a cocktail made with rum, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and whipped cream. It came in a huge cup and was a great value for the price. It tasted good too. Overall, it's a solid spot for food and drinks, and they even offer happy hour, which makes it worth checking out.

I came here to pick up some food so I didn't stay here for long at all so this review isn't going to be long as will only be based on the food. I got the wet carne asada burrito and I was pretty disappointed. The whole burrito was lacking a lot of flavor in all aspects. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if I would come here again. I'm sure they have some other items on their menu that taste great. I didn't have a lot of time to think about what I wanted so I just got something that I thought would be good. I wouldn't say don't come here at all (I might be back in the future but now the chances of kind of slim), but if you do decide to come, please get something else. read more
Came here on a Sunday and it was packed! Despite the swarming masses of people, we (party of 2) were immediately seated. Service was good/friendly but once we placed our initial food ordered, the check ins were kind of few and far in between. Understandable, though, given the volume of patrons. You get complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are good, thick, and not super oily or salty. The salsa is also pretty good and has a little kick to it. I tried the potato skins appetizer and that wasn't bad. Overall, it was on the blander side but the side of ranch definitely helped. For the main entree, I ordered the fiesta salad. Even though it doesn't really need it, you can choose a salad dressing. They had the standard ones like thousand island, Italian, and Cesar. The salad wasn't bad especially with the guacamole. Logistics/Establishment: Had a party of 6 at 9PM ish on a Saturday and waited about 40 minutes to be seated. They were ridiculously busy, so the service took a little while to bring our drinks and food, which was fine - they were literally packed. I don't remember our server's name, but he was very friendly and nice - tysm! The condition of the women's bathroom was a disaster, and parking and getting out of the lot was a hot mess. Orders: Cilantro lime salad: I'm not sure if this was actually the cilantro lime salad because the dressing looked and tasted more like Caesar than a vinaigrette - but who knows. It was still good. I loved the grilled chicken, as it wasn't dry and paired well with everything else. The homie's meals: Shrimp burrito: Large portion size and very filling. Came with rice and beans. Would order again. Fajitas: These came on a very hot plate, the smoke emanating from it made it quite the spectacle. Flavorful and delicious, would also order again. Enchiladas: The go-to dish of my friend. She left satisfied. House Margarita: a large margarita; it felt never-ending. Overall, the food was pretty good. Good place. Fun atmosphere. Big portions. Honestly I wanted to go to Yardhouse because of the happy hour specials but my friends wanted tequila jacks. Although they do have a happy hour menu, they didn't honor it on Labor Day. Food was good, not outstanding but very good. Our servers was very informative and witty. The ambiance is nice, especially if you're seated at the patio. You get a nice view of the shoreline, boats, people passing by. I came here for an early lunch and decided to try the brunch special, hence it was Thursday 11 a.m. so it wasn't that busy. I had ordered the 1/4 chicken mole which was $13.50, and it was a good portion. The chicken was juicy and the mole was good. They provide chips and salsa while you wait, the chips are warmed up and the salsa was regular Americanized type, fresh and watery if that's your liking. Overall, I would recommend for brunch, maybe at night for some appetizers and drinks if you plan on going late. read more

To be continued This place is dreamy! Latin music and I'll add more pics shortly after eating and share my view but I ABSOLUTELY love the ambience!!!! It's like so much foot traffic on the pier across shiny lit boats with gorgeous lights and guacamole served in bii on Al's as deep as the ocean. Service is and chop is super dope!! 5 stars. Most items we tried here for an outdoor lunch were pretty good. The shrimp cocktail was huge and loaded with shrimp, while the potatoes were large and had mozzarella cheese on top. The Chile relleno was authentic and I loved the beef taquitos too. Oh and the elote was tasty as well. read more

The restaurant is pretty open air and tables are spread a part so I felt comfortable dining in. They have multiple outside areas as well, which is where my party was seated. Due to COVID there's no physical menus so they make you scan a QR code on your phone. Also no groups larger than 6. I ordered the combination plate with a Baja fish taco and shrimp taco and it comes with rice and beans. The tacos were decent, nothing special though. Overall the food was good. They don't put the prices of the tequila on the menu, but know they are very expensive. Made the mistake of just ordering a round of shots of Casamigos and they were 16.95 each. I upgraded my Cadillac margarita with anejo, and it was an extra $10. Just a heads up for those who may want to substitute tequilas for better quality. read more

I was in the area, decided to try this place out. We were seated promptly, and it got busy quickly. We had a nice seat overlooking part of the bay. We had good service; our waiter was friendly, consistent and checked on us for refills on our drinks and water. As for our food it was just ok, honestly it was bland, and the rice was dry and flavorless. It was quite disappointing as this is a nice restaurant and has a nice atmosphere overall. read more

Party of 7 for happy hour on Taco Tuesday. Was pretty busy for a Tuesday. But it was $1.25 tacos and happy hour til close. Guess that attracts the crowds. 20oz Happy Hour Schooners hit the spot. Dos XX Wife and friends had margaritas. Chips and salsa were plentiful. Server was good. Fast service. Could clean tables more often remove trash and plates, etc. Other than that good service. Happy hour appetizers and $1.25 tacos were JUST OK. You get what you pay for. What do you expect for $1.25 I would come back for happy hour but maybe try some real food to see if they make me add some stars to this review. Best part was the beer. LOL!!! read more

The sisters and I came here today for lunch and it was just wonderful .. it was busy being Mother's Day weekend but we were seated promptly . Drinks came and we ordered lunch . Spent the day in LB with my girls and found this gem. We ordered apps and entrees and drinks of course. Food was delicious. House salsa has a nice kick to it with bottomless chips n salsa *** I had a mojito and a jalapeño cucumber margarita. Both were potent with flavor and you could actually taste the alcohol Servers we're great!!! Super attentive to our giggling and chatty group. Our waitress was so sweet. I ordered the house margarita because I remember it was SO GOOD, a few years ago. Well they changed it. They don't use the same tequila nor the same mix and it was BAD. She took it away and recommended Gran Centenario Anejo. It was yummy. We ordered happy hour of fried chicken strips for 5.95. The 4 pieces came with ranch dressing. Come for happy hour. This visit started a lil rocky. The host quoted us 45 minutes. We went shopping while we waited. Then I notice people arriving after us were being seated. We spoke to the hostes and she had deleted us from the wait list which was very frustrating. They ended up seating us right in the moment as they should. I didn't like that. Juan was this places saving grace. He was great and even joined us in our game of truth or dare LOL. The shots were on the larger side and the margaritas looked great. The place was popping when we arrive for happy hour (M-F 3-6pm). The food and drinks came quickly, and the service was good as well. The food was decent in both quality and value, and would be what you would expect at a more touristy part of town. The asada tacos was pretty good, but the fish taco lacks flavor in my opinion. The michelada mix was alright, and the Tajin rim helps make the flavor pop a bit more. Overall decent experience, but not a place I would frequent if I was a local here. read more

Tequila Jacks honestly had me at happy hour! Weekdays 3-6pm $5.75 schooner margaritas had me with heart eyes! The food is also solid. A majority of bites are discounted. However, general entree plates are decently priced between $12-$15 and large portions. I ordered the beach house platter for $14.95 and it did not disappoint! I couldn't even finish it! I loved the mini chimichangas and taquitos, big yum! Service was quick and attentive! I wish I got our server name because she was a doll and had my margaritas coming, lol! Otherwise, indoor dining is still closed due to covid but they have built out a pretty impressive patio out front. Of course, doesn't have the dreamy water views but still great service and food. Overall, this place has a great happy hour and taco Tuesday! Definitely recommend checking them out. It makes a great place to gather or romantic date night. Cheers, thank me later! read more
