Great authentic Mexican restaurant, perfect for in house eating or to go! We came here after a hike with my uncle and I ordered the Horchata to drink, and it was the best horchata that ive had in a very long time. The woman let us know that they make it in house daily, and you can certainly taste the difference. I also ordered the flautas with rice and beans and they were very well made. Honestly super disappointed. The tacos looked nothing like what you'd expect from a decent taco spot. The tortillas were dry and bland, almost like they'd been sitting out too long. There was barely any meat inside, and what little there was tasted dry and unseasoned. It felt like I was eating mostly tortilla with a few scraps of filling thrown in. This place has a cozy sports Mexican theme atmosphere. They have a foosball table and Mexican theme decor. I go here on Wednesdays for the 99 cents tacos they have. The meat is a little on the cold side but I highly recommend getting their toppings. They are a bit stingy with their lemons and salsas you can have with their plate. The tacos were were small and inconsistent in filling with some super stuffed and others with barely any protein. The tripitas weren't cleaned very well so it was grainy. Was downtown for a work conference and dined here for lunch with coworkers. The place is a total dive restaurant which really excited me cause they usually have amazing food in my experience. Unfortunately the food was pretty weak IMO. The Carne Asada Burrito was mostly filler w/Rice and Beans and not my Carne Asada. It's my experience that Carne Asada burritos should have only Meat, Pico de Gallo, and Guacamole. This was missing two of those and substituted with beans and rice as previously mentioned. My coworker ordered Super Nachos and it was not fresh melted cheese and instead it had a cheap low quality cheese sauce like the stuff you buy in the can at a grocery store. Atmosphere was great, Very friendly people. I ordered a "Burrito california" and was beyond disappointed. My total bill came to $19.44 for a rather small burrito and coca cola. They come loaded with cilantro and onions and you have several meats to choose from (carne asada is an additional $0.20). Double corn tortillas complete the base of these affordable, yet incredibly delicious tacos. I have attempted to try other menu items, but I always end up getting tacos on Wednesday. My husband and I got norovirus from eating here. We thought it was food poisoning at first then we went to see a doctor three days later it turned out norovirus. Norovirus is a very contagious virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea. People of all ages can get infected and sick with norovirus. Our doctor told us this norovirus most likely from the employees (insanitary hands ) who prepare or serving your the food. The tacos al pastor here are delicious! Prices are reasonable as we paid 86 cents a taco. Our total for one Budweiser, one Mexican Coca Cola, and 8 tacos al pastor came out to be about $13. The location is easy to find as it is right on the corner of 16th street. The inside is not pleasingly pretty but hey they have tables and chairs. There is a bathroom but I wouldn't use it. The line to order is right at the entrance and it's very small. They don't have a variety of salsas. They do give you one flavor of salsa with your tacos but they don't have anymore. We were staying in Phoenix for a couple days at an air bnb in Coronado. This taco place seemed affordable and delicious, and close by- so we figured, why not?! It was a nice little walk in a cute neighborhood. Tacos were decently priced- boyfriend got a taco meal and I just got a couple on the side. Beers were decently priced too. (A coronita for a dollar was perfect for little me). We went on Tuesday night. It was so good, we actually stopped again on Wednesday for 85 cent tacos to take to the airport with us. Great choice! me and my bf came here for a breakfast burrito, they were 8.99 each which would've been fine but we got such little burrito it was depressing, there's was NO MEAT in these just fries, cheese, eggs and beans and w/o beans for my bf, we were both displeased by the size of these burritos, paying $20 for small burritos is insane and on top of that his was smaller than mine!!! yes the burrito tasted good but not no $10 good, the first thing that was upsetting when walking in was that what seemed to be the manager wasn't helping out at all! it was honestly infuriating just watching it, there's was 7 people in front of me, there was only one cashier taking orders, making drinks and handing out food, the drive thru lady would help her hand out food whenever she got the chance but what the lame manager would do was just STAND THERE AND WATCH HER TAKE ORDERS AND THAT WAS IT!!! if you're going to just stand there and not do absolutely nothing then just go hide in the back man that seriously pissed me off read more

Every Wednesday, this place has some of the cheapest tacos in town (less than a buck!) And with their full bar you're sure to have a good time. They have a large menu apart from their tacos, including rice and bean stuffed burritos of all sorts (and their rice is great). Their carne used to be the best in town, but the last few times it's been a bit too fatty for me. I love my carne to have a crunch to it (I know most people dont but I love it) so the fatty bits stand out a lot in their otherwise delicious food. Their carnitas can be a bit hit or miss as well, sometimes delicious and sometimes alarmingly squishy and unpleasant. Their pastor however is always tasty, though its a bit too spicy for my pallet my boyfriend loves it. As far as flavor goes, this place is great however. Their red sauce is incredibly spicy (and sooo good) and their verde is great when you only want a twinge of heat. They have a salad bar to dress up your meal, and boy a touch of lime really makes that red sauce kick (immediately and when its saying farewell). Parking can be a bit of a hassle on Friday and Saturday nights since there's a popular night club next door, business is also packed those nights with people prepping for the night. Even with a packed lobby however, its never taken longer than half an hour to get my order. Most people order to go since the neighborhood isnt that great. And they do charge extra for using a card. When you order to go, all tacos will be piled on top of each other so beware. All in all the Mich (this Taco Mich) is a great place to bring a large group and kill some time on a week night. Grab a few drinks and a ton of tacos, play a game of pool and have a good time. Its also a great place to come after a few drinks at the bar when you want a giant burrito but fewer regrets than you'd have with a 'Bertos. read more

I've lived in Phoenix for almost a year now. I moved here from LA and became addicted to King Taco. For those of you who aren't familiar with LA and King Taco, it has THE BEST tacos and THE BEST salsas (omg so spicy!) and THE BEST horchata. I was so obsessed with this place that my coworkers eventually started calling me the Queen Taco. I used to come here frequently when I first moved into the area. Taco Mich isn't nearly as good but it's still pretty freaking good. I don't have much of an opinion on their salsas because they're OK but their carne asada tacos are fantastic! Especially on Taco Wednesdays when they're only $0.75. Seriously can't be beat. If you're looking for some affordable, delicious tacos in DTPHX, I recommend checking this place out.
