The parking lot is limited, which is something to keep in mind. We went on a Sunday for an early dinner, and there was only one other table occupied at the time. Customer service was nice and friendly, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and very unique inside it really stands out. They have an extensive drink menu and some interesting food options, including items like bone marrow. The pricing is on the higher end, more like a special occasion or upscale restaurant. They do offer the option of corn or flour tortillas, but it wasn't clearly mentioned that the flour tortillas cost an extra $1.50, and they are very small. I didn't even need tortillas, and I still ended up being charged for flour when I didn't choose that option, which was frustrating. Another issue was the timing of the food. We were a group of five, and our meals came out at different times instead of all together, which made it hard to enjoy the meal as a group. Also, they don't offer complimentary chips and salsa at the beginning like most Mexican restaurants. You do have the option to order them as an appetizer, but it's something to be aware of if you're expecting that standard. As for the food, the flavor was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really stand out compared to other Mexican restaurants. One more thing to be aware of is how the bill is set up. They include a 20% gratuity for larger parties, which is fine, but then taxes are applied after that total. So you end up paying tax on both the food and the gratuity, which makes the final bill feel much higher. That didn't sit right with me. Ordered the steak and eggs brunch menu. Ordered medium rare. The steak was as tough as leather and zero seasoning. I literally could not even swallow it and spit it out. So I only had eggs & potatoes. They have high chairs so that means they anticipate children. Ordered a brunch pancake plate to split between 2 kids. Asked if we could have an extra plate to split the pancake and was told no. They said no! The women's restroom gas 2 stalls. 1 toilet has no toilet seat on it! Definitely will not return. A great find! Randomly stumbled upon this place on a Saturday for happy hour. We were seated immediately and had the best service from the hostess and our waitress. Super friendly staff that made us feel very welcomed and gave great food and drink recommendations. Our waitress Krisbel was the best, I can't remember the name of the hostess but she was also awesome. The drinks were delicious. I especially enjoyed La Fresa for sure. Super fruity and fresh. I also had the ceviche and it was delicious. Our friends had the chips and guacamole and the steak with aguachile sauce which they enjoyed. The decor inside is very nice, comfy chairs and fun neon lights for great pictures. The women's bathroom was also clean and super cute. The atmosphere walks that moody-modern line with dim lighting with bold pops of color and the music stayed at a good volume (read: I didn't have to yell over my queso fundido). Mayahuel - tequila, St. Germain, lime, agave, pineapple chunks. Not too sweet, nice and balanced. It's definitely a tequila-forward drink, so if agave's not your amigo, this might not be your jam. Bonus points for the pineapple wedge, because who doesn't love their fruit pre-soaked in liquor? Lemon Drop Martini - vodka, Cointreau. This one missed the mark for me. Way too sweet, with barely any lemon, and the sugar rim overpowered everything. Also, a plastic martini glass for these prices? That was a buzzkill. Cantarito - tequila, fresh OJ, lime, Squirt. Dangerously drinkable. Bright, fizzy, refreshing. I'd like to officially file a complaint that these are only $8 during happy hour, because I would absolutely drink four without noticing. 9/10, would sip irresponsibly. Quesabirria Tacos - The birria was chef's kiss. Tender, juicy, rich: exactly what you want when you're wrist-deep in consomé. That broth? Deep red, glossy, and packed with deep beefy flavor. My only beef (pun intended) is that the cheese was tucked inside instead of crisped up on the outside. Also, who decided to garnish tacos on top with raw onions? Carne Asada Tacos - Grilled skirt steak, two per order. No cheese crust, no cheese inside, just cheese vibes, apparently. My husband liked them, but I found them pretty forgettable. The avocado slice felt more like a peace offering than a flavor booster. Queso Fundido - We added chorizo because of course we did. It was fine. Super oily, and the cheese didn't melt well and it separated fast. Hot tortillas and the smoky salsa on the side helped save it, but overall it was a little meh. Service was decent, drinks were solid, and the food wasn't bad, but nothing really wowed us. Between the limited happy hour and the regular menu prices, we're not in a rush to come back. read more

My bestie and I were next door getting tattoos and spotted this spot, we came by and just walking in the vibe was so fun and the decor captured our attention. Everywhere we looked it was beautifully decorated and had tons of spots to take photos. Staff was so friendly and we sat at the bar with Ivan for quick appetizers and drinks after our tattoos. This place is such an underrated gem. The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The restaurant is stunning and elevated. Every dish we tried (we had a lot) was incredible. I always love supporting local spots when I can, and this one absolutely deserves all the love. From vibrant ceviches, oysters, and fresh seafood to perfectly cooked steaks and elevated Mexican dishes, everything impressed. Fun fact, they use the same oysters Buck & Rider uses, so if you're a B&R fan you can enjoy the same fresh seafood here. Also, the handcrafted cocktails were delicious, and the service was top-notch. Way more party/club vibes than expected but had a decent meal here with some friends/former coworkers. I was looking to try someplace new and came across this spot on Yelp. Nice central location for a couple of us (not so much for the Chandler folks, sorry!). We came at 6pm on a Saturday but they weren't busy and we were seated at a 4 top. This is definitely cultural gram-fest decor. Think bright florals, neon signs, skull paintings etc. Our waitress was friendly and prompt, returned with water regularly (their glasses are small, unless you're shooting tequila out of them, which we weren't!) We ordered the queso appetizer, I got the birria tacos, and my friends got some steak and bone marrow. Everything came out all at once though, so no queso to start, we just dug in to that in between bites of our entrees. The queso was good but more than half hardened/congealed onto the dish so very difficult to obtain/eat. I honestly was not a huge fan of my birria tacos, meat was tender and juicy, but very bland. Even the consomme and salsa did not add much. I tried the steak and bone marrow as well and was not blown away by either. As I said originally, this place is definitely more vibes and decor than quality ingredients and flavor. And as far as price goes...we all agreed it's a bit steep. Majority of the patrons were Latinos, so figured if they were there it must be pretty authentic. I had the Carne en su Jugo, which the lady time I ate it was in Mexico......delicious. 've been to Tequila more than 6 times, used to consider this place one of my favorite spots and if I had a business meeting or a birthday or casual date had it on the top of my list, unfortunately the last two times I've been there it's been a disappointment after the other. From not having basic alcohol options like tequila Patron or reposado to last night where they didn't have Ribeye, the Queso fundido was cold, the drinks didn't arrive at the same time (only 2 people reservation and the place was almost empty) and the second options we ordered Picanha and Asada were cold and without flavor. The only good thing was the waitress courtesy manners. We didn't eat the food and ended spending $224 check and didn't even see the chef or the manager to check what was wrong. I don't think I would go or recommend this place again :( read more

The server was also attentive and very sweet. But the food was not good. The salsa was gooey. It tasted fine, but there was something not right about it. The tortilla chips that came with it were great though. Keep those. The "Queso Fondue" appetizer had the consistency of deconstructed cheese: the oil and solid pieces were separated. It somehow had no flavor and yet tasted like quesadilla cheese, not in a good way. This was a block of grocery store cheese that had been melted, not "queso" for dipping. A cold Coke goes great with Mexican food. Since this place has a full bar, I figured they'd have fountain Coke. Instead my soda came from somewhere else. It was overly sweet and not bubbly, as if it was poured from a knock-off brand can or served from a 2-liter plastic bottle that had been opened the day before. As of this writing, the rating is 3.9. Given the sprinkle of 5-star reviews, I decided to give this place a chance. Avoid my mistake. read more

Okay, I live a half mile from this place and absolutely love their food, the service and the ambiance. The issue is that things have been off since their reopening. Not a fully stocked bar given their name, out of an item or two, subtle music, to name a few. This place has incredible potential - you nailed it with the remodel BUT, if owners don't read the reviews you won't have the traffic you deserve. The food is genuinely good - everything we've tried is delicious but when you're overpricing items and not including beans or rice at a Mexican establishment, you need to nail everything else and this includes MUSIC at a Mexican restaurant. We also grabbed drinks from the happy hour menu--$5 margaritas and $10 mixed drinks. We had a few (no regrets), and every one of them was well-made. The vibe was chill, the service was great, and the quality for the price is tough to beat. I was actually surprised it wasn't busier, but I guess that's the perk of a Monday visit. I was surprised to see sushi on the menu, so I tried the Tequila Roll, and it was amazing. Fun ambiance, especially as the night goes on it seemed to really get live! I reserved a table for our party of 4 on a Sat evening a few weeks in advance because I had a feeling it'd be hard to snag one given all the restaurant's recent social media buzz. They had a live DJ, some cute IG photo areas, and when people order shots the waitstaff lines up and serves them yelling "shots, shots, shots!" As far as the food, I was a little underwhelmed. The guacamole literally came with 4 chips! What?! Our whole table laughed it disbelief. My husband got the birria tacos which I tried and they were okay. I got a plate of taquito looking rolls that were also ok not amazing. The meat in both dishes just wasn't super flavorful. For the price, although the presentation was nice, I definitely expected more flavor and for everything to taste spectacular. Where they did impress was with their drinks. They offer beautiful cocktails with unique and stunning presentations. I was a little disappointed they charged me full price ($21!) for my mocktail even though there was no expensive alcohol in it. But at least they did give me the same fancy presentation. I ordered the fresa margarita and my boyfriend ordered the Moscow mule. My drink was okay and he said his was terrible. He's not one to complain so he just drank it. For dinner, I ordered the birria tacos with a side of beans and guacamole. He ordered the ribeye medium rare. It came with a side of potatoes and asparagus. The steak was good, cooked to the right temp. The asparagus was fine. The potatoes were completely flavorless. My birria tacos were truly the star of the show. They had plenty of tender meat and cheese. The consome was flavorful as well. The guacamole had zero flavor and the beans were super gooey with zero flavor as well. The service wasn't good. With it being so empty, our waitress was not attentive at all. When it's busy, I totally understand but there was no excuse. I love an intimate ambiance with great service and I'm a local in the area and was extremely excited to say the least. We schedule reservations at 7pm walked in and was greeted to our table of 4. It was a pretty quiet night so pretty much had the entire to ourselves. I believe we simply had a bad waiter probably the worst and couldn't understand the lack of attention. Our waiter was a young Hispanic guy who just couldn't perform his role properly. We got our dinner before our appetizers. We had to waive him over numerous times from gossiping with the other two ladies at the bar where there were no pedestrians. A lot of gossiping and chatting at the corner or end of the bar where they grab their beverages. The food was okay. We ordered a ceviche which I thought was a cocktail de camarón half it was just okay. The green enchiladas were descent. We were wanting a few more margaritas but with the waiting around we decided to go elsewhere. Then got handed over a nice bill requesting 20 percent of my bill like he provided the best experience. Luckily I have a heart and gave him 40 dollars of my bill do the math for a horrendous unsatisfying experience. I'm honestly shocked by my experience here. Absolute worst service i've ever received, by farrrrr. To start, we had a reservation for 8PM, and did not get seated until 8:20PM. We then proceeded to wait for service, and then another 40 minutes until they brought out our first order of drinks. We were there for an hour before they even took our food orders. The food took a while to come out once ordered. I am vegan, and they brought out guacamole with cheese on top (the menu didn't even have cheese listed as being on the guacamole) - 2 times - before getting it right. All of this, and on top of everything the prices are ridiculously high. I live across the street and was excited for this spot, but after that experience I definitely will never be coming back. read more
