Was down in Phoenix for my wife's dr appointment and it was close to lunch so this place was right around the corner from the office we decided to try after driving around for a little bit the food was really delicious and had the right flavors not like the food in Prescott guess my theory was right that when there is alot of competition you have to get better to stay in business read more

MY EXPERIENCE: First time was a charm... second time was ok. I first arrived as a 4-top. Second time was with my own family (including my littlest Pre-K fella) My step mom talked about this Taco Restaurant near her home that was "really good". I believed her because her cooking paired with my dad's is top notch. (Dad owned restaurants - but has since retired). Anyway, on my first visit I took photos and enjoyed everything about this place. Service, Food, Ambiance.. ALL of it... but here's the caveat. I mentioned I would offer my honest review because I want to give folks the download on awesome places to visit. On my first visit the food was flavored, moist, hot and seasoned perfectly. Every flavor was different but paired beautifully. I was really impressed with the authenticity. MY ORDER: I ordered 3-rolled tacos a la cart (topped with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and includes two small dip sides of guacamole & sour cream - can substitute two guacamole's or two sour creams) & a second meal which was 3 tacos (meat of your choice - I order Pollo/Chicken & Carne Asada) topped with cilantro & salsa which includes rice & beans. Everything seemed as a symphony.. & came together from entering to leaving. The only thing I noticed was their liquor license was expired on both visits. Second visit 10 days later: I ordered the exact same meal & beans were over salted, no carrots available, Chicken was dry, limes were dry and liquor license was still visible and expired even though on the first visit I mentioned it. On this second visit my lil guy accidentally dropped his water & despite me asking the gal taking orders for a towel to clean it up, she said she would take care of it... she never did and it never got wiped & absorbed into the flooring & we had to move tables. Bummer.. TIPS & NOTICE: 1. Delicious Pickled carrot slices & sliced limes are bagged and available but patrons must ask for them (they sit at another counter). 2. Salsa is free and self served with the purchase of any menu item - Green & Red Available. My fav is the green.. there are small cups that patrons can squeeze into. Lids are also available. 3. The menu does not show all food items that can be cooked up. Here they are: A. Flautas (Rolled Tacos) - Al la carte includes (3) (*Ask for the Meal & it will include Rice/Beans) B. Came here today for the first time, on my way to a doctors appointment. WOW!!! We ordered the carne asada tacos with rice and the chilaquiles with carnitas and eggs over medium. The chilaquiles were AMAZING!!! A little heat from the green sauce and the carnitas were SO GOOD!!! The carne asada is about as close to authentic without crossing the border. The rice was the standard Mexican rice and the refried beans had a lot of flavor. Service was fine I guess. They forgot the meat on my chilaquiles but remedied it right away. The restaurant itself is pretty much what you find with the new "street taco vibe" that is popping up everywhere. Upbeat Mexican music. It was clean and well kept. We found our new go-to in Arcadia for sure! If you have the chance, definitely go! read more

We popped in here for a quite bit to eat. They have some legit street tacos including carnitas, carne asada, and pastor. The pastor was by far the best. The chicken was a bit dry, so was the carne asada. I find taco places always do one meat the best and here it's the pastor. The only down side is that they are a Pepsi restaurant. read more

This is my go-to spot on Taco Tuesday when their special taco pricing is on! If you ask them to add shredded red cabbage, they'll cheerfully do so at no extra charge. I always get the cilantro and onions added on as well. They have the best refried beans anywhere in Phoenix, too! And if you order a couple of sides of pico de gallo, you're set for the tastiest taco feast that sets the bar for every Mexican food restaurant in the valley! I was visiting from California and I heard this place was pretty good. First off when I walked in the space of this location is so wide. I love it. The beautiful art on the walls was so nice and interesting it popped! I ordered the chicken rolled taquitos and a chicken taco plate which came with three tacos with rice and beans. The chicken taquitos were a little too crunchy to my liking. I didn't really like that. the amount of chicken that was inside the taquitos was great, but I felt like it needed a little more seasoning so I had to get some salt packets to add flavor, I tried the red and green salsa that they have and it was a little different than what I'm used to. the pepper they used had a very strong black pepper taste it on both sauces. Let me tell you about the chicken tacos though. Wow they were so delicious!!! I'd order them again and get a burrito next time and take some chicken tacos to go. They were to die for and the rice and beans were so good. I loved it. Customer service was great. The cashier at the front was amazing. She was really nice and welcoming. I did eat one Asada taco and it was a little bit overcooked so it kind of distracted the flavor to it but I tasted it and it wasn't so bad maybe next time when I touchdown in Phoenix I'll give it another try. read more

We dropped in here last night for $4 happy hour margaritas:) It's like a chipotle with a BUNCH of other meat options. Hubs ordered a red Chile beef bowl and I ordered three different street tacos- asada, carnitas and fish. Everything was excellent but hubs raved about the asada. I stole some of his red Chile beef and definitely will be ordering this next time. I would also add some lime crema to the fish taco- I didn't notice it sitting on the counter up front with other salsas. Oops. I could not believe how fast the trays were coming out of the kitchen- super fast. Margaritas could have been a bit stronger but they were yummy. We will be back. read more

Chorizo Breakfast Burrito was tasty with a hint of spice to it. 3 street taco lunch plate - Carna Asada, Shrimp and Carnitas. I personally liked the Carna Asada the best of the three followed closely by the Shrimp. Taco Tueaday is street tacos $1.75 each Right off of 32nd St and Indian School Road in a nicely renovated shopping plaza with a few nice places to eat. Proteins are overall well seasoned and cooked. Shrimp tacos could use some chipotle sauce on them and they would smack. Beans were really good but red rice could use a hand. Limited salsa options, but the ones that are available are fire. The bread used for the tortas is delicious and buttered perfectly. The girls helping at the cashier were very helpful and nice. The lady taking our order at the counter was very friendly and efficient for our group of 5 and none of our orders were incorrect. Colorful murals brighten the interior walls of this easy to overlook cozy spot in a gray strip mall, and behind the counter a helpful worker with a ready smile will answer all your questions about the more mysterious sounding menu items. I ordered 3 tacos: lengua (so tender!), pastor, and fish, and my tab came in just under $10. Each taco was appealing to look at and each bite was delicious, enhanced further with the provided slice of lime. I was glad I wasn't served on styrofoam, but sturdy paper. My friend had 3 meat tacos and the sides of rice and beans and said they were all tasty, but unfortunately the side dishes were in styrofoam. They would do well to switch out the plastic salsa cups to pleated paper ones since those can unfold and make dipping chips easier, as well as being more Earth friendly. This place was a delightful surprise and if I lived in the area, I know where I'd be getting my tacos! read more

Honestly not super impressed with the food. But our group was maybe a little more perturbed by the workers who didn't greet us with a friendly "Welcome to Los Taquitos!" But instead with a "Hey you guys better make sure you put all those tables back the way they were when you're done" -- as our group came into the restaurant and put a handful of tables to accommodate our group as we went to order. Didn't realize that putting together a handful of tables on the side of the restaurant that was barely used and at a time when the restaurant wasn't busy would warrant a hostile remark. $2.55 minimum per taco is pretty expensive... asada tacos are $3.25/taco... and that's not worth it in my opinion. You can definitely get more authentic Mexican food and better taste around Phoenix. Taste was bland--chicken wasn't seasoned at all, guac was basically just a mushy avocado with no seasoning or extra additions. The asada taco and pastor tacos were probably the only highlights. read more

Based on these comments I must have caught them on an off night. I got a carne asada burrito and it was no bueno. The meat was extremely chewy, I had to stop half way through. My girlfriend got the rolled tacos. Those were very bland and when you pick them up, there's no cheese or anything that sticks to the taco. Nice staff, clean establishment, but man the food was so underwhelming. Might give it another shot, might not. There's a lot of other Mexican places around town. read more

Good portion, delicious, reasonable price! We went for breakfast. We got Chilaquiles with chorizo, over easy eggs, and red sauce, and Huevos Rancheros. We also got the side of pickled carrots (yummy!) and horchata drink. The eggs on both dishes are perfectly cooked. The slides of jalapeno in in Huevos Rancheros are hot but complement the dish every well. Both dishes come with pinto bean, hash potatoes, and we can choose for corn or flour tortillas. Los Taquitos Arcadia has modernist look a bit like Chipolte. From the name I was expecting an old hole in the wall taco shop. Street tacos were only $1.75 so I ordered 3. All the tacos came with 2 flour tortillas which had a nice fresh flavor. Carnitas were nicely seasoned and moist. My second favorite. Carne asada was tender and full of flavor. I loved the savory beef with a hint of sweetness. My favorite taco. Al pastor was tender and juicy. Pork was spicy. I like meat with just a tiny bit of spice thus this is my least favorite taco. I like how the tacos all had a good amount of meat and nicely priced. 3 were good for lunch. 4 would make a big dinner for me. I usually go to old weathered taco shops where I can find low prices and classic tacos but I was happily surprised by the good food and low prices of Los Taquitos Arcadia. read more

The Supreme breakfast burrito with bacon and chorizo changed my life. It's magic. I've never had a better breakfast burrito and I eat a lot / seek them out in Texas, NorCal, SoCal, etc. Something about the flavor of the meat, the ratios of all the filings, the freshness of the tortilla, and their two incredible house salsas is just *chef's kiss* The only way I could be more excited about this place is if they served hot coffee and/or Coke versus Pepsi products. read more

We are regular visitors here as the food is really solid and the margaritas are pretty darn good too! Updating this review to highlight just how great their Pozole soup is! It is quite tasty, with generous chunks of pork and hominy. The portion size is really enough for two servings and this is quite a bargain at a price point under $8.00. The soup comes with a nice portion of toppings per tradition: cilantro, onion and purple cabbage. It's a must at try! We took ours to go! read more
