Stopped at this gem for a to go order and it was some of the best Carnita tacos I have had in a long time! I got the three taco combo and their Spanish rice is very good( I am very picky about it). They gave us two different salsa, green very mild and great flavor and then the red salsa, very hot but it doesn't last long which is fantastic! A friend just moved into this area and we were looking for a place open late on a Sunday night. We found Taco Mich. The employee working the register was very friendly and helpful explaining the menu options. We split a shrimp burrito and a side of chips and salsa. We also ordered a blended, mango margarita. The burrito was very tasty. The tortilla chips were the thick style and the salsa was fresh. The interior decor is basic, Mexican restaurant style, but it has a small patio out front. Wednesday is the best "daily special" value with a choice of 5 different tacos options for 95¢ each. That's about half price of their full menu taco price. We will be back. read more

From Chicago and we don't have Taco Mich by us, but it is my son's go to taco place. TM doesn't have the best tacos I've ever had, but it is a good choice if you like a more authentic taco. I had one each of the chicken, steak, and pork tacos with onions and cilantro only. The steak tacos were (5/5) very tasty. The chicken tacos (3/5) were a little dry, bland for me. I was very disappointed with my recent visit. When I got my food I found a worm or a parasite in my tacos. Mistakes can happen, but this is a Serious health and cleanliness issue that should never occur in a restaurant. I have been passing this place for a few years now and was recently able to try it and have fallen for their food and salsas. The first time I tried them, I opted for their #15 which was 3 tacos, rice & beans. I figured it gave me a opportunity to try 3 different types of tacos (chorizo, pastor & birria chivo (goat)). Everything was prepared well and had flavor, but then their salsas enhanced everything with their seasonings and flavors, my favorite is the red (right amount of heat). We also tried their chips & salsa, which was equally flavorful (tab milder in spicy heat). I also enjoyed their hibiscus drink. I've been back a few times now and now just get the #13 which is 5 tacos, meat of choice. I now get their goat & chorizo and hibiscus drink. The gentleman that works there on Thursday nights (Joel G) is very friendly and professional. The place is a small-med size location, but there is also a bar attached next door. So this is my third time here since I moved from Los Angeles. And like all Los Angelino's who moved to Arizona who were asked which restaurants do they miss 9x out of 10, King Taco is mentioned. One of my favorite places to get tacos, burritos and the tortas. Taco Mich does a great job of being more flavorful above others in this style of Mexican food. I know we are fortunate in Phoenix to have a heavy influence of Mexican food and let's face it they tend to taste same but when you get something that stands out it deserves recognition. My wife and I have visited multiple locations and they all do a good job of not disappointing us. The carne asada tacos our favorite, carne asada burritos do not disappoint, and if you get anything out of this review I hope it's to try the carne asada torta. I have had bad luck finding a place with top notch tortas, so far after years of eating them Taco Mich is by far the best I've had. Based on food alone 3/5 stars, I wish them continued success. Once upon a time this location had one of the best Italian places in town now it is a Taco place. Insert sad face but life goes on. I work close by so when my schedule got changed today I stopped by to have a late lunch and kill time. I ordered chips and salsa and two tacos. They are cheap, like under a buck fifty a taco. It was okay. It is an average place. Nothing to write home about in a city with a million great taco places with better service. Their salsa is good but beware if you are a softie since it has a kick to it. I also liked the pickled carrot side garnish. So the food is okay but here is why I probably wont go back. When you walk in they have a sign on the counter that says, " Masks are required. Please do not make us have to ask you to leave and refuse service for not wearing one." Buttttttt, get this. The staff member on the counter, who is not very service orientated by the way, is maskless and gloveless. Wait, what? Also, so were a few of the patrons. Two were sitting, no mask in sight at the bar. ( not eating just no mask ever) Gross since the bar is where they put the food for all to pick up, even those folks dining in. Ewwwwwwww! I enjoy the food here, but the server aracely taking my order isn't friendly to myself and other customers ahead of me and after me. This has happens on a few occasions. We all have bad days, I get it, but customer service changes a customers perspective when coming into a place that has amazing food. I approach her nicely, well mannered, and she continued to ignore me when I asked for a few more salsas. and she just rolled her eyes at me when I rang the bell a few times for five minutes straight as she took off. I came in waited less than 10 mins for someone to come to the register and help me. Some older lady wearing a purple shirt comes and takes my order. I specifically stated I wanted my order TO GO. I order a combination of red enchiladas and 2 asada tacos TO GO. Waited approximately 20 mins for my food. Then.. the lady tríes to give me my food to eat IN RESTAURANT. I kindly said.. But the cashier had told another person ahead of us that it was only between the hours of 12pm to 3pm. This isn't posted anywhere on the menu, at the counter or at their window. So I unfortunately ordered something else. I got a sope which was amazing and very enjoyable. We also go the nachos, and that was a fail. They use the stadium style cheese and chips. This place is just waiting to close down. Every time you go in there's no one eating. There's only two different women that work the front, neither of whom have customer service skills. I've had multiple problems from forgetting to put some of my order in the bag, leaving me on hold for 15+ minutes for a phone order while I can hear them talk in the background and I was able to drive there while still on hold and place my order in person and then tell them they can hang up the phone they forgot about. The tacos aren't bad but you get better service from United airlines when they are kicking you off the plane for not wearing a mask. I came here twice a week but now forget about it. read more
