As it arrived, the portions of the dishes were quite impressive! It was my first time trying cold noodles, and I was surprised by how sweet the soup was. Not a bad sweetness that makes you want to stop drinking after a few sips, but rather a fresh pearl sweetness that makes you want to drink more! I personally couldn't continue with it ice cold, so I heated it up, still very tasty!  Kimchi Fried Rice and the Tofu Pot were also flavorful, but the pork Jokbal, on the other hand, was a bit werid. There was a taste that wasn't soy sauce-like but similar; we found that taste a bit off in our opinions. Especially, after we left it inside the fridge over night, the taste amplified. It could be an alcohol-marinated taste, but not a pleasing one.  We'd love to try this Korean restaurant in person next time and order their BBQ; many have said their BBQ experience is interesting.

We tried the fried dumplings , pork bone soup and the Korean fried chicken ( garlic soy flavour ) Again, the side dishes were very tasty and I had to ask for another serving of the braised potatoes. The pork bone soup was rich in flavour and quite a bit of meat. Perfect for the colder weather. When we packed this to go, it's the first time I had a restaurant use a machine to put a plastic seal on it ! ( I originally thought they just forgot to give me a lid for my container hahah). The fried dumplings were presented nicely , but weren't anything special but still tasty and crispy. The garlic soy fried chicken was amazing ! I enjoyed the tteokbokki sprinkle into the mix. The sauce flavour was the perfect amount of sweetness to saltiness. Everything was evenly coated. And I enjoyed that the pieces of chicken were small pieces , this way the crispy batter covers a better ratio of chicken rather than those huge pieces you get and once you eat the crunchy skin it's just chicken. This time we came at peak meal time at 730pm on a Sunday night and had to wait about 30 min for a seat. All in all, would still come back in a heartbeat.

I've personally had better pancakes, but my friend loves their seafood pancake and says it's her favourite. The side dishes really stood out to me. There were the classics (potato, kimchi, bean sprouts), but there were also other delicious dishes that I normally don't have, such as the crab and corn salad and various pickled vegetables. Now, the whole salad is rather generic and the sauce is identical to those salads you find in Japanese all you can eat restaurant. The beef stew from the lunch combo also tasted different. It used to be rather rich and now it's meh. The rice cake in it was not cooked thoroughly as the middle part was still flour-y. Except.. step 3 only has items priced at $5. I asked if I can just omit it and they said no, it is mandatory to pick one. Why don't they just add $5 to the base cost and then make step 3 free. Adding a price make it seems like I can choose to add it or not. So now the budaejjigae is $41 instead of $36 with sides I didn't really need. Quite pricey for a very simple ingredient dish. Soup base was very flavorful but not a lot of ingredients was in it for that price point. One thing I didn't like was the buying of positive reviews. They offer you free soda/pop for positive reviews only. Parking is limited but we did find a spot on a weekend lunch.
