Went back for more visits and I wanna rate this as one of my favorite late night bbq grill hangout spot this month. 5 stars for late hours, convenient street parking, Tsingtao beers, great service and of course, tasty foods....relaxing music and an overall chilled atmosphere! I enjoy their meat offerings from the top four recommendations on the menu. And I like ordering their Tsingtao stout, which pairs well with the bbq dishes. Perhaps not all menu items are 5 stars as there are a couple items that I would not reorder... some are too strong in taste and some tinfoil dishes are too spicy for me. Overall, they are deserving of 5 stars for their menu diversity, consistency in food tastes and for genuine good service in bringing joys to the diners' meal experience. It's a fun bbq place that I wanna visit again when craving BBQ lamb skewers!

Came here for dinner with a couple friends. We ordered 4 dishes in addition to the skewers (cold noodles, cucumber with beef, fried pork, beef tongue), as well as their signature toast skewers. I was a big fan of the beef tongue, but the fried pork and cucumber were a bit too salty for me. For the skewers, we got quite the variety -- from the top of my head, we got lamb, chicken, beef, chicken heart, kidney, and something else that I can't remember. All of these were delicious, except the kidney since I usually am not a fan anyway. Unfortunately, the dessert toast skewers (which we were the most excited for) ended up falling short of our expectations. For me, the toast was too milky (I think it's fried in condensed milk?), and the bread texture was also fairly dry. Not sure if this is because we took a while to eat it. The bread slices are also pretty large/thick, so would recommend splitting one between two people.

Good little spot with lots of variety. Perfect for drinks with a few friends. Venue is not smoky either with ample street parking. The beef tongue was a bit chewy but the garlic eggplant was superb with fried rice.

A fun skewer place in greater Vancouver that opens til late everyday! I came with my friends on a Sunday night and was immediately seated. They gave us a menu ordering sheet for the whole table and we mark how many of each item we want. Some item comes in a bundle of 10 and other items have an order limit. The ordering process was fast but it took a while for the food to come out. Unlike some skewer places, they bring out the meats already cooked. My favorite thing were the lamb skewers. It was seasoned well and wasn't so fatty. I also liked their cucumber salad which balanced out the flavors of the meat. The guy that served us was super friendly and attentive too!

Food is excellent here and the staff provides outstanding service. They have booths that seats maybe 4-6 people comfortably, so if you have a larger group, make sure to call ahead so they can arrange larger tables for you. There is metered street parking out front, or if you go into the side streets, there is street parking available there. We tried many bbq and skewers and nothing disappointed. It is a little bit on the expensive side for the portion you get, but I would still recommend coming here and trying it out!

My friends and I all love skewers so we decided to try this place out since one of them visited before and liked it. We ordered a lot of skewers of various kind, lamb, beef, chicken, wings, etc. along with some other side dishes such as a garlic eggplant dish and sliced beef tongue. The food was really good and tasty. The overall BBQ sauce they used on their skewers were a bit more on the sweet side which I don't expect to have from BBQ skewers. Their service was fantastic. All servers were attentive and their their kitchen was very quick in getting the food ready, much faster than some other similar places I've been to before. When we were on our way out one of their servers even opened the door for us so we didn't have to touch the handle. In these days of COVID I think that was a very nice touch from the staff working there. Overall a very good place and I likely will visit again in the future when I'm in Vancouver again.

This place serves the exact same food as Happy Tree but tastier! Small and cozy restaurant by Rupert and Kingsway opens till 2am. Came here twice already both times food was well marinated and grilled to perfection. I like the cute cartoon decor and clean atmosphere. Lots of street parking along Kingsway. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Even without the free lunch set they are super great deals with most lunch sets $20 or less. I ordered a beef toro, pork and chicken lunch combo. It was a lot of food! The lunch set comes with salad, soup, side garnishes, rice, and the three meats. I love that they clearly label each meat. The sauce was delicious and the meats generally pretty good. I loved the toro - very fatty the way I like it and cooks quickly. The chicken was very delicious and juicy just takes much longer to cook of course. The pork was only OK. It wasn't the fatty one and kind of dry. My wife loved her udon and also we got a steamed salmon. You grill it in a closed container and it was good, the salmon goes well with the ginger. Also got a green tea mochi dessert and they stick a birthday candle sparkler thing on it. Fun and good! Ordering is super easy via an iPad like thing and they are pretty helpful. Love to come back!

This is also a good place for lunch or happy hour from 2-5pm. Service is excellent and Andy was very helpful with recommendations. I liked their modern and clean environment, cozy ambiance with comfortable booths. Meat was fresh and our combo set came with a salad, rice and soup - a nice balance of veggies, carbs and proteins. This place doesn't offer free parking and the parking fees are of Vancouver standard at around $14 for 2 hours. You can purchase parking time by minutes so perhaps you can park for 1.5 hours and cap it at around $10.50. They offer very good quality beef but no lamb options here. I really enjoyed that they offer hot umecha and dessert pairing of vanilla ice cream with rose or plum sake. Refreshing finish to the pleasant dining experience at Homura!

I must say it was nice and juicy. With that said, wow it's pricy. The "Vancouver's Best Cornbread" is a pretty tall claim, but this place delivers. The cornbread is suprisingly moist and sweet. Of course, try not to think about the ingredients. Definitely worth trying. Pretty solid food if one has deep enough pockets. Recommended.

Maybe it's better in the prairies but here I've find it hard to find either beef or pork cooked right with most it either being dry, unseasoned or undersmoked. The big plus for Rosie's is they actually seem to know how to cook brisket using fatty cuts and smoking it long enough to breakdown the connective tissue without it getting mushy. It could have been smoked even longer but it was probably the best I've had in BC. They don't have burnt ends and at least the server I dealt with didn't seem to know what they are. They at least know you never serve Texas BBQ with sauce on it. It's expensive for BBQ which seems to be standard in Canada with 18 dollars for just 1/2 a pound but it's good enough I'll pay it. They didn't ask if I wanted lean or fatty which is traditional in BBQ joints. I found the pulled pork to not be as good. It didn't have the flavour or moistness that I expect especially compared to the South Carolina pulled pork that I prefer and eat when visiting family there. Also it looks more chopped than pulled. If that is Vancouver's best cornbread I'm guessing the bar for cornbread is pretty low too. It's too sweet. Cornbread is a savory dish. The moistness was good. This would be bog standard Q in Austin or Charleston but for Vancouver it's very very good.
