The honey butter chicken was soooo good!! I loved the different textures in the dish like the crunchy chips, chewy rice cakes and crispy chicken! Highly recommend!

Galbijjim

Nice spot for korean food, service was prompt and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Menu pricings are decent and the portion size is good as well! Only tried the Galbijjin this time around, it was spot on flavour wise. More than enough to feet two people and came with plenty of sides!

Yangnyeom Boneless

Service was fast and friendly. The side dishes were yummy and they are attentive if you want refills. We ordered the yangnyeom boneless (half size) and the sauce was too sweet for my liking, but the rice cakes were soooo good. Just the right chewy texture on the inside and crispy on the outside. We also got the spicy jokbal and it was indeed spicy but so delicious. The meat was tender and the veggies in the dish add the right amount of crunch to pair with that. Two dishes were more than enough for two people.

Mushroom Bulgogi

We went upstairs and sat near the window so we had a view of Robson. The dumplings and mushroom bulgogi we ordered were fine. Banchan were 3 dishes, which was quite odd as I normally get at least 5 dishes at other restaurants & other people seemed to be given many more as well, from the pictures they've posted. Loud atmosphere as music played while customers chatted.

My girlfriend was craving Korean food while we were in Vancouver, and since this spot was just a short walk from our hotel, we decided to check it out. As soon as you head up the stairs, you are greeted by friendly staff and a clean, cozy dining space. The menu is straightforward with plenty of great options. For appetizers, we ordered the Mandu, which are Korean style dumpling filled with pork and mixed vegetables, which were delicious. For entrees, I went with the Soy Garlic Chibap, which is boneless fried chicken tossed in soy garlic sauce over rice. My girlfriend ordered the Kimchijjigae, a spicy kimchi stew with pork served with rice. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh and comforting, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for how much food we got. We left full and happy. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Galbi Tang soup

Last night in Canada and decided to go to a Korean restaurant. We looked at reviews and came in. The service here is okay. We orders and they just dropped off the food and never came back. Wish the service was better, like say, how is everything or is there anything else. The chicken was decent. My Wang galbi tang soup was good. Wish there was more noodles. Othet than that, I would go back to this place. The music was awesome, love the k pop music and they do play other music. I would recommend this place.

Beef hotpot
Feifei R.

The beef hotpot has very delicious broth, very beefy. I love that it has various veggies and mushroom. We are a table of three, so the seafood pancake and the hotpot is the perfect quality. The seafood pancake felt very thick with flours, I had much better seafood pancakes at other places. Overall, good food and especially with hotpot style, it's fun to share on a cloudy day.

Satisfy your Korean fried chicken cravings here. Their downtown Robson street location is where you can pick from 9+ different flavours of chicken that can be boneless, bone in or oven baked. You get either get them full size or half size. We tried the following: - Supreme Full Size Boneless Chicken $37 ( cream sauce with yangneyeom) - Mayack Full Size Boneless Chicken $37 (seasoned cheese powder w/ yogurt sauce) - Bullak Geongol Hotpot $57 (marinated beef, octopus, potato, cabbage, glass noodle & more) - Spicy Chicken Feet $25 The portions for the full size chicken is huge! The chicken was crispy and flavourful. They came with potatoes and rice cakes. It was more than enough for three people. The hot pot was loaded & very comforting. The chicken was quite spicy but tasty! It does get a bit pricey so come with a group to share!

Service was great!!! The spicy garlic chicken was 20% off plus free fries it was spicy loved it hehe. Honey butter chicken was sweet! The soybean soup was delicioussss Loved the bean sprouts banchan they asked if we needed a refill for the radish as well Spent around 60$ for a lot of food super cheap for Robson street nice place to drink as well it wasn't very loud

Jokbal. Spicy and nonspicy.
Johnny Y.

Got the spicy Jokbal. Delicious and spicy. Came out super hot temperature. Platter is definitely for 2-3 people but ate it and then ate the leftovers the next day. Was there late at night on a weekday. Service was friendly and attentive. Upstairs through narrow stairway. I could see the place getting lively on the weekend as the food is often considered drinking food but it was pretty calm and quiet when I was there.

Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were on point. One of the better meals I've had in Vancouver

spicy squid and pork bulgogi, kimchi stew, and fried chicken. Osam Bulgogi Kimchi-Jjigae
미치광이

This was my second visit. We ordered spicy squid and pork bulgogi, kimchi stew, and fried chicken. Everything was delicious, but the spicy squid and pork bulgogi was the dish I kept reaching for the most. It's the most casual Korean restaurant to go to in downtown Vancouver.

Seolong Tang - authentic Korean food and kimchi is good. Fresh kimchi style and portions for price is good. $23 per bowl.
Maurice W.

Fresh kimchi is good. Authentic Korean food and price and portion is fair. $23 per menu item and decent amount of beef inside.

Chinatown

A Gastronomic Awakening in Chinatown! You don't truly know…read moreuntil you go--and now that I've been, I'm haunted. As I write this, I am literally still dreaming of the Hong Kong Style BBQ Pork. It didn't just "eat" well; it dissolved into a decadent, sweet, fatty puddle of pure bliss. Walking in, the vibe is quintessential Chinatown: a bustling counter, a glass case showcasing glistening roasted treasures, and a seating area that trades fancy decor for pure, functional authenticity. We were clearly out of our element, probably looking like deer in headlights, but the staff met our confusion with warm smiles. Then came Bobby--the absolute heart and soul of this place. We walked in expecting the standard American-Chinese routine, but Bobby whisked us away to a cozy table and treated us like family. He started us off with a fragrant jasmine tea so naturally sweet and floral it didn't need a grain of sugar--perfect for a biting winter night. While we flirted with the Happy Hour menu, Bobby took the reins. You don't say no to a man with that much charisma and passion! On his expert recommendation, we pivoted to the Two-Meat Combo (BBQ Pork + Soy Chicken) with a side of their famous Roast Duck. The food arrived in a lightning-fast 10 minutes, but the real treat was Bobby's play-by-play on how each dish was prepared. You can taste the pride in every bite. The balance was masterclass: a symphony of sweet, salty, and umami. The meats were succulent, the skins were shattery-crisp, and the glazes were perfectly sticky. The undisputed heavyweight champion, however, was that Hong Kong BBQ Pork. Imagine the best "burnt ends" of your life, drenched in a caramelized, mouth-watering sauce that demands your full attention. We left Chinatown BBQ feeling more than just sated--we felt enlightened. If you're looking for a "one in a million" meal, let Bobby order for you. You won't regret it.

The char siu and soy sauce chicken were both cooked perfectly, moist and flavorful. The green scallion sauce was not necessary but it was still delicious ! Would've been great over rice. The extra fatty char siu the server gave me to try was over the top! Perhaps the best char siu I've had to date. My server, Bobby? Did a fantastic job and was very informative and I can tell he really likes what he does thru his enthusiasm

Tasty but pretty expensive food truck. Came across this in Port Moody by Rocky Point Park…read more They only really have a few items. Of course everyone goes for the brisket. I must say it was nice and juicy. With that said, wow it's pricy. The "Vancouver's Best Cornbread" is a pretty tall claim, but this place delivers. The cornbread is suprisingly moist and sweet. Of course, try not to think about the ingredients. Definitely worth trying. Pretty solid food if one has deep enough pockets. Recommended.

Maybe it's better in the prairies but here I've find it hard to find either beef or pork cooked right with most it either being dry, unseasoned or undersmoked. The big plus for Rosie's is they actually seem to know how to cook brisket using fatty cuts and smoking it long enough to breakdown the connective tissue without it getting mushy. It could have been smoked even longer but it was probably the best I've had in BC. They don't have burnt ends and at least the server I dealt with didn't seem to know what they are. They at least know you never serve Texas BBQ with sauce on it. It's expensive for BBQ which seems to be standard in Canada with 18 dollars for just 1/2 a pound but it's good enough I'll pay it. They didn't ask if I wanted lean or fatty which is traditional in BBQ joints. I found the pulled pork to not be as good. It didn't have the flavour or moistness that I expect especially compared to the South Carolina pulled pork that I prefer and eat when visiting family there. Also it looks more chopped than pulled. If that is Vancouver's best cornbread I'm guessing the bar for cornbread is pretty low too. It's too sweet. Cornbread is a savory dish. The moistness was good. This would be bog standard Q in Austin or Charleston but for Vancouver it's very very good.
