    Fried Chicken
    Sergio L.

That fried chicken ya'll!! It was delicious. I was skeptical at first but it was golden brown crispy and crunchy! The service was great, and the staff are super friendly! It's one of those places in Vancouver you want to sacrifice sleeping in for because the line can get long! So first come, first serve. You won't regret it. It's always busy and buzzing rain or shine.

French toast with strawberries, veggie bowl with avocado

1st review of 2026! I ordered the French toast with fresh strawberries added for 5 CAD. It was just okay, with the bread being too soggy, like it needed a little bit more time on the griddle. I did end up finishing the whole portion though! My boyfriend ordered the veggie bowl and added avocado. He was pretty satisfied by this meal. The portion was HUGE and he wasn't able to finish about half of it. Definitely recommend sharing if you get a bowl! We waited in line for about 40 minutes to be seated on a Friday around noon. The servers were kind but they didn't come around that often to refill our coffee so we had to flag them down. Honestly, I don't think that the food or experience was worth waiting so long outside in the cold. It was just a regular brunch spot, so I'd probably save the time and choose somewhere else to eat. There are clean bathrooms in the restaurant.

Getting up early on the weekend for brekkie to wait in line in the rain sounds like a nightmare, right? Wrong if it means lining up for Jam and getting first chair, first coffee, and dibs on the first bit of awesomeness off that griddle. Elvis ... obsessed. The bowls ... also obsessed. Make sure to involve their bacon and fried chicken. Like an unhealthy amount that's aimed at clogging arteries. Also the lavender latte has the perfect amount of lavender without being overpowering. Definitely gives off the breakfast vibes with all the chachkis on the walls. We make sure to hit up Jam every time in Vancouver. Up next: Fried chicken eggs Benedict. Guy next to me got it last week and it looked awesome!

Absolutely a 5-star experience! I'd give it a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it. Yes, there are those long lines, and yes, the food is consistently amazing. This brunch spot is definitely worth the wait, even if it's in the cold, rain, or heat (if Vancouver ever gets warm!). The wait staff is truly amazing, working hard under pressure. They're always trying to get everyone seated quickly and make the line move smoothly with smart seating arrangements.

Wow! First of all: yes the wait is worth it. We waited in line for 50 minutes even though we arrived at 09:50. We were hesitant, but decided to stay given the good reviews. The food was soooo amazing. Best brunch we've had in Vancouver so far. The benedicts were perfectly cooked, well seasoned and made us so happy. The hashbrowns didnt look appealing to me at fist, but holy moly they were so good!! The coffee was super flavorful in the latte with the milk being fluffy. The blueberry pancake was gigantic and great as well!! The restaurant on the inside is small but very cute. 10/10, definitely recommend.

This place was very near our hotel, and since the Yelp ratings were so good, we decided to give it a shot. We thought the food was good, but not great. My wife had the Tater Bowl, while I had the Blackstone Benedict. My wife did have the coffee as well, and she really liked it. We got there around 9:30AM or so. The place was packed, but we were seated immediately. The service was pleasant. When we left, a line was already starting to form outside, so we felt lucky to have gotten in without having to do that.

We attempted to go here yesterday when we were looking for breakfast spots, because they were close and had decent reviews. When we arrived the line was SO long that we changed our minds. We did decide we would try again the next day because clearly it must be worth it. So this morning we got there before they opened at 8am and the line had already begun. We waited and were sat as soon as they opened. One quirk in their system is that you are not helped in the order you were sat. So, even though we were sat before the majority of the people behind us, the got service, food, and drinks first. Kind of a bummer. After we did get service it was still slow. They were kind when they were at the table, but just slow. The decor was kind of all over the place. Not to say it wasn't cute and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, it was just random. My husband nailed it when he said they must be going for items you'd see in an old garage. Now for the food. We had high expectations. If people are willing to wait in a line down the street, they must be amazing. I'd have to say I wasn't all that impressed. The food looks beautiful, but the taste factor just wasn't there. My husband got the salmon Benedict and he said the salmon overpowered the whole dish and really muted any other flavors. I got the French toast sticks - they were slightly disappointing. The sticks themselves were very large, so too big to jus pick up and eat without getting the all over, but they are served on a tiny plate with no room to take the out of the basket they come in and use a knife and fork to eat them. Besides that, they are deep fried and I could taste the oil, and while the outside was crispy the inside was super soggy. Maybe we didn't get one of their signature dishes that people are coming for, but based on what we did get we wouldn't get up early or wait in line to eat here again.

I got here about 10-minutes before they opened and there was already a line. I sat at the bar and watched this place fill up in a matter of minutes. Pro tip, get here early because this is popular! I went with the savory stack. This is two huge cheddar and green onion pancakes, with candied bacon, two sunny side eggs, jalapeño spread, and pickled onions. I opted for the addition a fried chicken thigh on the side. This meal could easily feed two people, it was massive! I did love the savory pancakes and the two runny eggs on top really set this meal off. It did eat a little dry when the eggs were gone, but addition of their house made hot sauce helped. The bacon was fantastic and who doesn't love a boneless fried chicken thigh with breakfast?! The vibe was cozy and I could have sat at that counter and sipped my iced americano for another half-hour, but I had to catch a flight.

If you want a savoury or sweet breakfast or brunch, Jam Cafe is the place for you. It has an extensive menu with creative and flavorful options and generous portions of comfort food. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The only challenge is the wait time, especially for large groups or with kids. The average wait is 45 minutes. We recommend planning accordingly. They have many signature dishes, such as pancakes, eggs benedict, chicken waffles, french toast, and delicious bowls. Go hungry with an empty stomach; otherwise, you can check with the server for the half-order options. Food: 5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! (Everything was good, just a bit challenging with the wait time) Price: $50-$100 for two (brunch) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: There is paid parking on the street, and many paid parking garages nearby. Tips: * Offers bottomless brewed coffee. * Has a lot of hot and colder drink options. * Must visit for breakfast and brunch food fans. * Has vegan and gluten-free options. Return: Yes ‍

We visited a little after 11, thinking the line would be gone by then -- but it was still long, and when we left, it stretched all the way down the block. The last time I came here was before COVID, and it used to feel like more of a local favorite. Now it seems to have become a well-known tourist spot. Back then we waited about an hour, but this time it was a manageable 30 minutes. I started with a latte, which was unfortunately not very good. I had a mimosa during my previous visit, so I didn't realize the coffee wasn't their strong suit. We ordered the Gravy Coops with fried chicken, which made for a rich start to the day. The biscuit and hash browns were both excellent, but the chicken itself was rather bland. On the other hand, the Green Eggs & Ham was fantastic. We swapped the biscuit for cornbread, and it was a great choice -- the ham and spinach scrambled eggs were well-seasoned and paired perfectly together. Even though the place was packed, the staff were friendly and attentive, checking in on people waiting outside as well. The restaurant is small and cozy, just the right size for a casual and comfortable breakfast.

This place had the best meal I ate on my trip to Vancouver. We went on a Thursday morning and there was a long line outside of the restaurant. The wait was about 30-40 minutes. While waiting, they brought out menus so we could begin looking it over. Inside, the restaurant is very small and they pack people in. But the food was amazing and the service was great. I would definitely come back the next time in Vancouver.

Where do I start? There was a small wait on Sunday morning. Once you have the food you'll work see why the line isn't longer. OMG! The food is great. I ordered the Farmers Benedict. Massive plate, oh so delicious. Everything on this layered plate of food art works so well together. I'm going to struggle not to order the same plate next time. Go, wait in line and enjoy the result of your patience. You can thank me later. Also, don't be afraid to add the wonderful jalapeño sauce to the hash browns.

I have been to this location many times for its convenience of being next to skytrain station. Loved the food as always. I come back for soft n yummy corn bread but then end up eating a new item on the menu. All bowls are for big appetite people.

Ive had it before and at least its pretty consistent. Ive tried several other things on their menu in the past too, all pretty solid 4/5. Nothing standout as so amazing to deserve 5 stars, but consistent and tasty. I did have a reservation which they charge $10/person for, purely for donation to a charity and does not contribute to your meal at all, and also nonrefundable. While I find this somewhat annoying, I dont blame them for doing this from a business standpoint. They always have a lineup so there is no shortage of customers for them. There is no reason they need to deal with the headache of a ton of reservations. On the flip side, they honoured my reservation in a very timely fashion and I bypassed the line, so props to them for doing that part right.
