Breka Bakery is a great choice when stopping by for a treat- a cozy atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and delicious baked goods. I like that they are open 24 hours. On this visit I chose a mango passionfruit filled donut. The dough was soft and the filling was flavourful. The coconut shavings on the top added to the taste. It was a very large and filling donut, and worth the price I paid. Highly recommended!

Open 24 hours! Lots of seating and variety of foods, drinks, and desserts to choose from. Busy place due to proximity to the light rail & Waterfront. Loud, boisterous, and very lively with people competing with the music & comings/goings of customers. I quite enjoy their cookies and cold brew coffee, cheap and yummy!

Came here early this morning and everything was so good. My fave was the kuffi (?). It tastes like a baklava without all the honey. The tahini oat latte was so good too! Service was good. Spacious and clean.

Delicious pastries. I grabbed an apple fritter, pistachio cream filled doughnut, and a mango mousse cake - all were very good. Cool interior, chill vibe. Prices aren't too bad.

Date of visit: July 16, 2025 When looking for alternatives to the crazy expensive hotel breakfast, I stumbled across this 24-hour gem, and I am so glad I did! It always seems to be busy, which is really the hallmark of a great restaurant, and the quality of the food and staff friendliness drives that point home. Staff use tablets to take your order at the counter, which is good because there are so many items you want to try that you keep adding things as you go down the line. I went with a ham and cheese cretzel, and it. Was. Fantastic. For dessert I added a Vanilla Donut Bite and I am hard-pressed to think of a better way to finish a meal, the slight crunch on the outside mixing with the soft vanilla underbelly. I also tried a bite of my mom's maple donut, and that was also fantastic.

Breka's sandwiches are affordable, heartwarming and delicious. It is my go-to lunch when I need to work in the area. Even though it is a chained bakery, Breka is still able to uphold their great quality. I usually get takeaway from them, but if I have time, I'd prefer dining in to enjoy their relaxing environment!

Visiting Vancouver and looking for a place for lunch. This place is known for it's pastries, but they also have good selection of sandwiches and soup. It was Monday, around 1:30pm and there was a line when we got there. The line moved reasonably quick, when you got in front of the pastry case there was someone their to take your order. (it had the hurried pace of some delis that I have eaten at). The place was crowded, but we did manage to snag a small table, which was a bit tight for the 3 of us. We ordered, Spinach and Artichoke Pocket, Vegetable Soup, and a couple Tuna Melts. They heated the Pocket, with a Panini Press (not my favorite method), so the entire sandwich was a little too dense for my liking. (It did have good flavor). The Tuna Melts were also heated in a similar way but they were on bread. They were also good too. The desserts looked very impressive, but were too full to try. Next time? It's a decent place for food, but not an especially relaxing atmosphere.

Friendly and super fast service since they were quite busy. Matcha isn't too sweet but good enough. Prob needs a little more matcha flavor. It's very light and I would prefer to have a stronger matcha flavor/taste. There were plenty of bakeries and pastries as well as a huge selection of donuts. Everything seems fresh and reasonably priced. Place is bright and clean. Has some seating area. Was there in the morning and it seems to draw a good crowd.

Beautiful shop with a gorgeous display case with so many options. The gluten free muffin was wonderful, as was the frittata bites and chicken pocket.

    Mediterranean Chicken Panini

Even though I was politely kicked out for bringing in a huge TV and my PS5, the sandwich was delicious.

Wonderful bakery/cafe with a great selection of baked goods, coffee drinks and even sandwiches. They go through the line pretty efficiently taking peoples orders before you get to the register. Even for it being somewhat busy, we got through fairly quickly. Everyone was really nice and helpful. The place was a little small for seating but we managed to get a table. If you're looking for a coffee and a delicious pastry come to Breka Bakery and Cafe.

Well it seems ownership has changed and the new owner doesn't give two craps about prior customers, honoring discounts, replying back timely or being more friendly? Was playing email tag and finally submitted the 39 flavors and didn't hear back until after another week and then told they won't deliver only in morning when they know our reservation was for 730pm and they're open until 9? I even replied back and nothing. We own and run several business in lower mainland and in United States and this customer service from Unni Pastries is trash. At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency!

The sagos were cooked just right with the perfect texture and most importantly, it wasn't too sweet. We also ordered their instagram worthy mahjong tiles which is essentially red bean and coconut pudding. It's very cute and definitely instagram worthy. It's not too sweet and I liked that it came with a side of red bean sauce which made it less dry. The money is also made of edible paper but we didn't touch it cuz it felt weird eating it. However, it wasn't anything special and we wouldn't order it again. It was quite busy when we arrived on a Friday night but it's much easier to go in a smaller party. We were a party of 2 and walked right in even though others were waiting because they needed a bigger table. The place is clean and service was fast. They don't have a time limit even though they are busy so it's a great hang out spot. We would definitely be back to try out other items they have to offer.

I'm from the Bay Area and we have our fair share of Japanese grocery stores (shout out to Niiya in Japantown in San Francisco) but I was very excited to see the selection here. This place is right on Robson street so a great place to grab a snack, drink, pick me up while shopping. Prices seemed reasonable.
