We are visiting the city prior to a cruise. The hotel breakfast was awful (see that review next, lol) so we looked for a brunch place. It was great. I had a bene and GF had a ham and cheese. Waffles crispy. Egg poached properly. Nice side salad. Very nice waitress. French bistro look.

If you time it right this breakfast is amazing. I adore the coffee. Best latte ever. The GF waffle had to go back but they comp'd us for it. Lively atmosphere and fun music. Did I mention the coffee? Solid service and no pressure to move the table made catching up over yummy food fun!

We ordered the 21 mini waffle set, which came with the following flavors: Pistachio Vanilla Custard Biscoff Lemon Filled Dark Chocolate Raspberry Original I tried the pistachio, biscoff, and raspberry. The raspberry was my favorite. I was surprised at how much I liked it. The waffle was sprinkled with freeze dried raspberries which added a nice tartness to the sweetness of the raspberry flavored chocolate. The pistachio was a bit disappointing, because the topping tasted like plain white chocolate and the only pistachio flavor that I tasted was from the toasted pistachios that were sprinkled on top. The waffle itself was good, I just wish the chocolate topping tasted of pistachio as well.

Cutie little waffle bar on Seymour. Went in to try their savoury and sweet waffles. Was in a waffley mood . Had the ham and cheese waffle with a nicely presented salad. The savoury waffle was a bit soft and the ham a bit dry. I believe if you come in early it would be better, but the flavour was delicious . P.s..Please add more cheese The salad was crispy and fresh. Now, the matcha, dark chocolate and raspberry waffles were spot on. Amazing flavour and texture. The churro waffle I found the sugar coating to be a little lost because the waffle itself was moist and soft. The server was attentive and polite. Thank you for the good service. The atmosphere was brilliant. I loved all of the different elements from stainless on parts of the tables to wood lattice and the walls. Nice details! I will be back again for more delicious waffles and hot cocoa.

    smashed avocado & brussels benedict

Yum! I'm not usually a savory waffle person but this was very tasty. The waffle was crunchy yet soft. The Peruvian peppers on the smashed avocado were excellent!! I thought the small waffles would be sweeter and more flavorful so giving a 4 instead of a 5. I tried the strawberry one. also got the raspberry lemonade, it was quite tart and not very sweet. i found it lacking in raspberry flavor and for the price, I expected more quantity staff was great and i enjoyed the vibe & location of this spot! i would go for a sweet waffle next time as my main to try the difference.

Fun place to try for waffle lovers. The menu features sweet and savoury waffles great for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. You can dine in and order from the full menu of Belgian waffles or grab a mini liege waffle and beverage from the to-go counter. I've seen them get busy, but when I went for a weekday lunch with a friend, there was no wait for a table. I tried the brie waffle (brie cheese, apples, and greens with balsamic vinaigrette) when I went for brunch, and also have tried their churro and pistachio liege waffles. I got the brie waffle with their gluten-friendly buckwheat waffle since I really like buckwheat. The flavour of the buckwheat waffle was nice but it was very airy and a little dry. The brie topping was great. The menu changes seasonally so I don't think they're currently offering this version of the brie waffle, but they have a different baked brie waffle on the menu now. The liege waffles are very good - these are rich but still fluffy. The churro liege had the dulce de leche custard inside which was a REALLY nice treat. I think the churro liege is also out of the rotation at the time of writing, but they have other custard-stuffed flavours. The liege waffles are rather sweet, but they make a good occasional treat. They also have a full coffee bar. Their London fog was pretty good. The dine-in service was kind of slow, but the staff were very pleasant. I definitely recommend the place if you like waffles and want to try some unique waffle flavours!

Okay wow, best waffles ive had in a while. I had the salmon benedict. Large eggs, big salmon portions, the waffle texture was crispy and soft, so good.

Walked into Nero to a very warm and welcoming hello and seated immediately. Since it was my first time I was taking a little long to decide but the waitress was patient and checked if I had any questions. Finally after debating with myself for 10 minutes I went with the strawberry and chocolate waffle and a lavender London fog latte. You get 2 options for the waffles which were explained that one was more crispy and the other more soft. I went with the crispy waffle. When my dish arrived it was so beautiful I didn't want to touch it. I also was surprised at how big it was and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to eat it all myself. I was wrong. The waffle was so light and crispy that even though it looked heavy and like a lot, it really wasn't. The texture was perfect and the crispy lightness was complemented by the strawberries and chocolate. I enjoyed every single bite. I understood the hype. The lavender London fog was disappointing. I didn't get any lavender flavour and it was a bit watered down for my liking. In any case the waffle more than made up for it. I'll be back and want to try the liege waffles next.

We stopped by for brunch. There was about a 20 minute wait. We had a mimosa and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was garnished with a cucumber slice and a WAFFLE!! it was tasty! I ordered the smashed avocado and I added smoked salmon. It was delicious. My husband ordered the chocolate with the strawberries and cream. That was good too. Will definitely come back for more waffle goodness. 10/10.

This place was good. The only problem is my food sat in the window for like 10 minutes before it came. Location was great. The waitress is really nice and friendly.

Great food, service and ambience. But the food felt generally over priced and over hyped. We were looking for a simple breakfast place that doesn't break the bank. Maybe we'll keep looking for another spot.

Eaten at Nero's many times since my high school days, but surprisingly my first time writing a review for them. Delicious waffles. Great ambiance. Amazing service. Not sure if our server was Djason, or that's just the cashier name on the receipt. But service was stellar albeit he got our waffle order wrong. But happy mistake, since we felt too full from our dinner previously to eat what I originally wanted. He was super friendly and helpful. Absolutely "LOVED" the tiramisu latte 1/2 sweet.

Everything is a bit sweet but that's what you're looking for when you order an ice cream waffle, right?! The Oreo was also a great choice. The tables are a bit small, but it's manageable. If it was full, I may be a bit claustrophobic but I think it's fine if there's some room. Overall, highly recommend for a latte or a sweet treat. They have some seasonal mini leige waffles if you're looking for something on the go!

Service was good, friendly. The restaurant is the same as I recall, clean enough. A little cramped and the seating isnt too comfortable. Its really not a good place to hang out for a long time, but rather sit down, eat, and get out type of place. I had the lavender latte and the Tagine this time. Ive had it before and at least its pretty consistent. Ive tried several other things on their menu in the past too, all pretty solid 4/5. Nothing standout as so amazing to deserve 5 stars, but consistent and tasty. I did have a reservation which they charge $10/person for, purely for donation to a charity and does not contribute to your meal at all, and also nonrefundable. While I find this somewhat annoying, I dont blame them for doing this from a business standpoint. They always have a lineup so there is no shortage of customers for them. There is no reason they need to deal with the headache of a ton of reservations. On the flip side, they honoured my reservation in a very timely fashion and I bypassed the line, so props to them for doing that part right. If you have to park, then you may find street metered parking or use one of the nearby paid lots.

I chose to sit outside on the patio instead of inside at the bar to take in that Canadian Vitamin D! It was sunny and hot, but the patio had a great view and was perfect for people-watching. My server, Dursh (or something close to that), was really cool. He asked my name, made me feel welcomed, and gave solid recommendations. He even picked my drink for me, which I ended up enjoying. He suggested a Benedict dish, but I'm not a fan of runny eggs. I had already decided on the El Camino poutine and plot twist....it also came with two runny poached eggs. Even so, it was still delicious, mainly because the yolk texture wasn't an issue with the crema on the dish. That poutine was an easy 9/10. It came loaded with cheese curds, pork carnitas that weren't dry at all, bacon, pinto beans, roasted pineapple for a little sweetness, salsa, jalapeños, pickled onions, salsa verde, cilantro crema, and spinach. The herb potatoes were seasoned so well too. All in all, a great last meal in Vancouver from the food to the service (even beyond Dursh, everyone was helpful) to the patio vibe. Great spot.
