    Matcha soufle

If you're looking for a soft, not-too-sweet dessert café, Fuwa Fuwa really shines. What we ordered: * Matcha Soufflé Pancake - The star of the table. Soft, airy, and cloud-like with a creamy texture. The matcha flavour is gentle and balanced--not bitter, not overly sweet. Light, comforting, and easy to finish. * Banana Chocolate Croissant - Flaky and indulgent, but a little heavy on the cream for our taste. The flavours were good, just slightly overpowering. * Iced Lattes - Smooth and refreshing, a good pairing with the desserts. Overall thoughts: This is an excellent spot if you love Japanese-style desserts that aren't overly sweet. The soufflé pancake alone is worth coming back for--soft, creamy, and thoughtfully balanced. Great for: dessert dates, café hopping, and matcha lovers Standout: Matcha soufflé Vibe: cozy, calm, dessert-focused Will definitely come back to try their other menu.

Wanted pancakes for dessert. Got my pancakes for dessert! I am very satisfied!!! Saturday night cravings!!!! It wasn't too busy so that was great. And the staff were nice.

Fuwa Fuwa is a bit inconsistant. I like the fluffy pancakes but the topping are sometimes bland. The signature fluffy pancakes is a good option. I also like the savoury version, jalapenos maple chicken pancakes. Their matcha lattes are not good, it's not mixed well enough so you feel the matcha powder as you drink. Better order the ice tea.

I came here for their February special: tiramisu soufflé pancakes + ceremonial matcha latte for $17.50. Service was friendly...I placed my order with the cashier and one of the girls brought my drink and pancakes to my table. It was a bit of a wait for the pancakes, but I didn't mind because they make the pancakes fresh to order. I loved the how fluffy and jiggly the pancakes were. The cafe is cozy with plenty of seating.

It seems soufflé pancake is a hot trend. Many places in Vancouver area offer this menu. I like the pancake here. If you like it, you should come here and try. Located on the main food street in downtown Vancouver. Lots of many other good food spots, I like, around here. One stop shopping! Lots of table and seats. Clean.

Yummy!!!!! That's all I need to say about this adorable soufflé pancake dessert bar. They have a good amount of tables inside and a nice restroom. Service is helpful and friendly. Yes they have some savory dishes on their brunch menu but there really is only one reason to come here- the delicious soufflé pancakes. Be prepared to wait about 20 minutes for your order but it is well worth it. We got the savory sausage sandwich and the raspberry caramelized banana pancake. The sandwich was fine but omg, the pancake was so fluffy and not overly sweet. The volume next to us ordered the burnt cheese cake, the tiramisu pancake and the crème brûlée pancake. They way overrides but they loved it all so much that they every last crumb!! This place is fabulous!!!!

Fuwa Fuwa on Robson is a dream for pancake lovers! Oh wow. The pancakes are unbelievably fluffy & soft, full of flavor without being too sweet, like biting into a marshmallow. The interior is spotless and stylish, creating a cozy yet modern vibe perfect for small groups or solo indulgence. Service is attentive, with a short wait for made-to-order food. The location is easy to find & surrounded by great shopping. If you crave a sweet escape with heavenly pancakes, come & try some yummy fluffiness.

Cute place with "jiggly" strawberry pancakes like how my son will describe it. Besides the pancakes taking awhile to make. The taste and size was good. We also got the refreshers to drink and the basque cheesecake which were delicious as well.

My family and I went to this spot not long after they opened. Come for the souffle pancakes of your dreams- so fluffy and soft with nice mellow flavors. Stay/cone back for the fancy drinks and great service. Come when you have time as the pancakes take a while to cook and are made to order. One of our orders broke apart while cooking so it took a little longer than the rest of our food to come out while they remade it. We didn't mind but they were super apologetic and went above and beyond making us other menu items to try. The souffle pancake french toast were great. Great fresh fruit with everything as well. Super cute cafe. Will definitely be back when next in Vancouver.

i'd been wanting to check this place out for awhile, so when a friend happened to be in the denman area, i suggested we meet there. it was about an 18 to 20 minute walk for the both of us, coming from opposite directions. we got there at around 3:30 pm, late start to my day and my first meal. for the first half hour, we had the entire place to ourselves, which gave the whole thing a private brunch vibe that felt almost too good to be true. we split the eggs benny, stacked on a mini pancake base with avocado, bacon, house made hollandaise, mini hashbrowns, and a side salad. the pancake leaned sturdy more than fluffy, (to hold the egg and toppings) the hollandaise was a touch runny, and the bacon could've been more crisp. i should have asked for extra crispy. the highlight were the tater tots and the salad, light, fresh, and just right for that 3:30 pm brunch mood. my matcha with oat milk didn't help much, watered down and forgettable. then we spotted another table getting a towering strawberry dessert, jiggly and glowing in the sunlight, piled high with whipped cream and glistening berries. it looked incredible, and for a moment i wondered if we should've gone sweet instead of savoury, or at least shared one for balance. but with dinner planned in just a few hours, we held back. i came here mostly for the sweets, but curiosity about brunch pulled me in. lesson learned: next time, i'm saving room and making dessert part of the plan.

Comfy seats, clean bathroom, great service and good food - had a great time. Treated my friend to a Bacon Benedict and Yuzu Refresher while I had a Smoked Salmon Benedict. Was really excited about the tater tots. Not sure that I'd come all the way downtown specially for the pancakes but if someone suggested it as a meeting spot I'd get jazzed and agree.

We saw this spot before we went to dinner and decided to try it out! The interior was very clean and neat. Since we went on a Monday, it wasn't busy at all. We got the signature fluffy pancakes, and honestly, they were the best pancakes I've ever had! They weren't too sweet and were very light and fluffy! I would recommend this as a dessert if you're looking for a place after a heavy dinner.

We had waited quite awhile to get a table and then the portions were puny. Also, I think one of us at the table had found a fruit fly or something like that in some of the food or drink. It was a probably a bad idea to go when it was a newly opened business. Fast forward to now...we had a much different experience this time and were extremely happy customers this time. We ordered the following: Egg Benedict Souffle Pancake with Oyama Sausages Egg Benedicat Souffle Pancake with Avocado Okonomiyaki Souffle Pancake Tiramisu Souffle Pancake Rose & Lychee Soda Hojicha Oat Latte Earl Grey Tea Americano Orange Juice OK...could have been happier but that part was our own fault. Didn't realize they took reservations so we walked in without any reservation on a Saturday morning, had to put our name down on a waitlist and waited what felt like an eternity to get our table. We will go in with a reservation next time. The food was sooo good though. Very quickly forgot about the unpleasantly long wait for our table once we dug into our food. The pancakes were soooo fluffy and jiggly! Especially the Tiramisu souffle pancakes. They were stacked so high and had so much jiggle action. No need to travel all the way to Japan for jiggly souffle pancakes. The ones we have here at Fufu Cafe in Vancouver are plenty jiggly and everything tasted awesome as well. In fact, we've travelled to Japan twice and both times failed to get jiggly souffle pancakes. We had some awesome pancakes in Japan, but never did manage to get any jiggly pancakes. Highly recommend this place but do make sure to make a reservation before going in, or else you'll be waiting a long time to get a table.

Solid reviews on Yelp had us on the way. What a great little spot! There used to be so many diners of this style, it's a shame so many are no longer there for us to enjoy a simpler time. It's 100% diner right down to the mini juke boxes in each booth to the red and chrome bar stools. Even found an old Kellogg's individual cereal box display like one we had in my parents diner in Ontario, that was very cool! The service was spot on with our two servers working in unison to get waters, tea, orders, delivering food, cleaning up like a well oiled team. They even have old fashioned milk shakes and an Hamilton Beach machine to blend them up. WOW, nostalgia. The food came out quickly and was cooked exactly as we asked, and it was plentiful and a solid breakfast for the price. My potatoes were a little greasy, to me, but everything else was perfect. The bacon, three slices, of good quality and perfectly crispy as ordered. We will most certainly return to The Templeton when downtown again. Our hotel close by, not so much, but this little gem, unquestionably!

Old fashion style diner located on Granville Street…read more Gets busy during lunch time since they close up at 3:00pm, mainly catering to the neighborhood crowd. Portable old fashion jukeboxes on each table, too bad none are functioning, only for show, could have used a little Elvis Presley during my meal. Service staff so complimented the diner atmosphere, smiley, friendly, hustling used plates off the tables and eagerly waiting for their returning daily familiar customers. Ordered the classic benny and huevos rancheros. Hollandaise sauce on the benny was excellent with a slight lemon tanginess. Eggs runny, smoked ham on a crispy muffin. Heaven's perfect breakfast creation. Huevos rancheros could use improvement. Scrambled eggs with green pepper and onions could have used some additional seasoning. Black beans didn't seem fresh but then again I'm not a black bean expert, rosemary potatoes were crispy with a moist center. The retro vibe was 5 star, I was expecting retro .25 drinks and $5 breakfasts but alas inflation is an unstoppable monster in our everyday lives.

Service was good, friendly. The restaurant is the same as I recall, clean enough. A little cramped and the seating isnt too comfortable. Its really not a good place to hang out for a long time, but rather sit down, eat, and get out type of place. I had the lavender latte and the Tagine this time. Ive had it before and at least its pretty consistent. Ive tried several other things on their menu in the past too, all pretty solid 4/5. Nothing standout as so amazing to deserve 5 stars, but consistent and tasty. I did have a reservation which they charge $10/person for, purely for donation to a charity and does not contribute to your meal at all, and also nonrefundable. While I find this somewhat annoying, I dont blame them for doing this from a business standpoint. They always have a lineup so there is no shortage of customers for them. There is no reason they need to deal with the headache of a ton of reservations. On the flip side, they honoured my reservation in a very timely fashion and I bypassed the line, so props to them for doing that part right. If you have to park, then you may find street metered parking or use one of the nearby paid lots.
