YUMMY PASTRIES!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Warm service, so clean and spotless.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No complaints. I got the nutella pistachio croissant x matcha and it was delightful!!!!

bisou bake house on bidwell and davie is a haven for coffee drinkers, offering premium baked goods in the west end. [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's calm and polished, the kind of spot that feels like a little retreat from the bustle outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the front case is lined with glossy pastries, bisou special mousse, apple cinnamon danishes, and a wide selection of golden croissants. everything is arranged with precision, making it hard not to drool in front of the glass, though i recall from a past visit that the croissants i bought weren't as flaky or buttery as they looked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]high ceilings, curved concrete walls, and warm wood accents give the café a modern feel, while touches of greenery, including a tall faux tree and fairy lights tucked in behind the bench seating, soften the edges[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]seating is a mix of sleek black stools, woven seats, and a large communal table, along with small round tables where people tuck in with laptops or books.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]natural light streams in through the windows, making it a pleasant spot to settle down and stay awhile.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]they also have five small tables available for outdoor patio seating out front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] this time, i went for the matcha earl grey latte with oat milk. i was told to mix it well, and i'm glad i did, though the flavour leaned quite sweet, it carried the creamy, fragrant blend of matcha and bergamot. after a vigorous stir and letting the ice melt down, the latte tasted better and more balanced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]overall, bisou is a solid neighbourhood coffee spot, whether you're working in solitude, or meeting up with a friend. it's beautifully designed, thoughtfully run, and makes even a casual coffee stop feel like a little luxury[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Bisou is located very close to English Bay and it a small cafe with really delicious looking pastries![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we entered, we were so confused on what to get because everything looked so good but then we decided to get their spinach and feta; it was really good. We also tried their strawberry matcha which was honestly really nice! Would come back to try their spiral croissant!!

Absolutely one of the best French pastries in Canada. Love it..! I would order every single time for my employees for our company events. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was there with our friend, the vibe was amazing too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you Bisou.

We got the croissant and the chocolate cheesecake. Both were pretty bad. The croissant was HUGE BUT there was no butter flavour at all. The outside was not crispy and there layers inside were more like bread than a croissant The chocolate cheesecake had no cheese and no chocolate flavour. Service - it was okay. I liked the location and that they have some seating

I was overwhelmed with the options and tried the White Chocolate Coffee Croissant ($7.49) and the Nutella Cruffin ($6.49). Both were enormous! The Nutella Cruffin was covered in coconut on the outside and had nutella and cornflakes on the inside! The croissant was not too sweet from the white chocolate but I didn't really taste much coffee. They also taste much better warmed up! There's not that much indoor seating and they have a few small patio tables outside. They are very close to English Bay so you can always take your pastries to go and eat them there!

Had the pistachio danish and an americano. The danish was really good. The crust was flaky with a bit of honey glaze along the top sides. The filling was creamy and not too sweet. There aren't a lot of seating so it may be best to take out. If you do sit inside, there are 4 small round table with a bench on one side and small stools on the other. It is a bit cramp if all 4 tables are used. There is 3 seats along the window and outside, there are a couple of tables too.

I've been going to North Vancouver for years to hang out. However, I had never been to nor heard of Bisou Bakery House until today. While out on a lunch break walking around I came across Bisou's second location on Bidwell St at Davie St. It's a small bakery with limited seating but appears to have many positives going for it. Appearance - check! Decor - check! Vibe - check! Feel - check! Taste - check! Location - check! I was very impressed. I will need to go back & try a few of Bisou's other offerings such as their breads, which look absolutely amazing. Keep in mind that due to limited seating - this will be a 'grab & go' bakery. I was surprised to read that you can find Bisou's baked pastries in major grocery stores. Bisou also started supplying goodies to Fairmont Hotels in Vancouver & has recently partnered with major airlines to supply them with pastries and breads. Pop into Bisou when next you're in the West End.

I love the concept of happy hour on baked goods. Definitely shows how fresh their products truly are. The vibes were beautiful. The baked goods on the wall were stunning and the service quick. I will definitely visit again.

This cute cafe is on the corner of Davie and Bidwell. The pastries were so delicious and fresh. The staff are always warm and welcoming, even addressing most regulars by name! I would definitely visit again, it felt like a wonderful addition to the community. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the interior is VERY photogenic if anyone is looking for the perfect afternoon coffee post.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of goodies and drinks to choose from. Picked up a Pistachio Cube and a Chocolate Hazelnut Speciality Mousse. Both are delicious BUT the pistachio cube is my favorite . The crisp outside and soft and chewy layers, fully filled with pistachio and I think vanilla cream. It's so freaking good! I took it back to the hotel but should have stayed and picked up a coffee or tea .

I tried the a few things from here. The date square was too sweet and so mushy that I couldn't pick it up. The daily soup was some sort of stew with lots of corn, and it wasn't that good. The loaf was kind of stale and crunchy/dense. Again, not tasty at all. Don't think I'd visit again.

We UberEats from here and stopped by on our way home to pick up more to go. These pastries melt in your mouth. So delicious, massive size and variety of flavors to choose from. The cream puff was the best thing I've ever had! The service is quick. Our delivery came fast. Inside, the staff is polite and attentive. The ambiance is what you expect it to be.

Christmas Season Special Item - Christmas Tree Croissant and Kuegelhoph…read more Christmas tree croissant with red stripes filled with hazelnut pastry cream and bright passionfruit jam. Dough was very buttery and crispy. I could taste strong butter flavor which stood out. Passionfruit jam dominated over hazelnut cream. It lean on sweeter side. I prefer more hazelnut cream. However, the croissant itself was one of the best. Very delicious. Holiday Chocolate Kugelhopf~ dark chocolate sweet bread studded with chocolate chips, citrus peels, and almond praline, rolled in sugar. I really liked kugelhoph's dough and almond praline! It wasn't too heavy, lighter texture and praline wasn't too sweet. So, sugar coating paired with dough very well. I would like to get this one again! Overall, I really enjoyed both Christmas items. Their baking goods was always top notch.

Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 5/5…read moreGood/drink: 3/5 I was so excited to try this spot since I had heard such good things about it (and their cardamom buns!). I came with my friend on a weekday and managed to snag the last cardamom buns. They don't serve matcha anymore and I'm not a big coffee drinker so I ordered the ginger honey yuzu soda instead. My friend got a cookie and an iced mocha. The staff were super nice so no complaints there! As for ambiance, they had a few seats outside and what looked like a huge space under the stairs for seating but they had blocked that area off as they're turning it into a retail section - seems a bit strange for me as when the summer is over people won't want to sit outside anymore so it will have to be a to-go model. The cookie was good, but I was really disappointed in the cardamom bun. It was $7 and barely had any flavour - it seems like it's made with whole wheat flour and didn't have enough cardamom or sugar in my opinion so I only ended up eating half. The yuzu drink also wasn't good. The ginger pieces got stuck in my straw immediately and the whole drink just tasted like ginger and soda water, there was no other flavour or sweetness in it. My friend also didn't really enjoy her drink. Overall this spot was a big disappointment given how many amazing cafes we have

It's my first time here. It's busy. Lots of seats. They have a glass covered patio, which is a nice extension. I ordered a double shot of ice espresso. It was a warm day but needed caffeine. I like they have lots of choices of sweets and donuts and their portions are big. The tables are small though, and a bit cramped inside, unlike what I'm used to at Main St. There's also minimal wall outlets for laptops or phone charging. So make sure you have your devices charged before coming here to work or study. Outside it's walking distance from other stores snd restaurants. It's a nice commercial neighborhood. I am a HUGE 49th fan and love their dougnuts and coffee. Whenever I have friends in town, or someone needs a suggestion on where to visit, I always say "49th has really good coffee and doughnuts". Unfortunately, my mind has changed, and I don't see myself ever recommending this location. As an avid coffee drinker, I am pretty picky on where I choose to have coffee and love the cafe culture in Vancouver. My mom loves doughnuts and we had come all the way from Langley for a day in Kits, so I recommended we go to 49th! I spent about $40 on 4 doughnuts, 2 maple sea salt lattes and a drip coffee. The maple sea salt lattes looked beautiful and my doughnut was delicious as usual (big fan of the french crueller). Unfortunately, our maple sea salt lattes were very very strong and had no maple or sea salt flavoring in my opinion. I decided to ask the girl at the register if we could please get a different drink because it was super strong and didn't taste good. I was met with SO much attitude, i was actually shocked. I went into it very friendly and politely asked for an alternate drink as i did spend $12 on these two drinks (and life gets expensive!!). She then goes "well, you probably don't like the taste of coffee then".... I actually didn't know how to respond. But i did say "I'm a huge 49th fan and love coffee!". Then I had asked how many shots are in the small and she said "2". I then had asked if we could get a new/different drink and she goes "I'll give it to you this one time, but next time you'll have to pay." This is NOT the way to treat a paying customer. It felt so rude and accusatory. I very rarely come to Kits, so she wouldn't have recognized me and am an honest girl who works hard for my money. When the customer comes up politely, you offer to make it right. I hope the next person that comes up not satisfied with their drink is treated a lot better than how I was.

Unfortunately, it was not the same. I was glad to see the same amazing pastries and tarts and sandwiches, all fresh and beautifully displayed in the display case. I ordered a croissant and it was superb as usual. I also ordered one of thier baguettes to bring home. My kid and I think SV has the best baguettes in the city. They are crusty on the outside, soft yet chewy inside, and just consistently perfect. This one was as good as all the others we've had from here. Yeah! I wanted an Earl Grey tea which IMO is a pretty basic order. Surprisingly, they did not have it. I got a green tea instead (their tea selection was very limited). And the girl who took my order, as well as the girl who rang me up at the cash, could NOT have been more aloof. I smiled and tried to make a little small talk, especially with the girl at the cash when I took out my debit card and asked how to pay (she just pointed at the tap symbol on the machine but my card is not tap-enabled. I always joke with people about this). This girl would not even look at me. Zero eye contact. No "thank you", nada. I just got really cold vibes from the two of them there at the counter. (At least when I picked up my tea at the beverage counter, the guy there made eye contact and semi smiled). (Side note: the staff at the Yaletown site have always been super pleasant and friendly, and this really makes a difference. To me, anyhow). Contrary to another reviewer's posting, the restaurant and the washroom was very clean when I visited here. No issues there. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll return to this site. There are so many cafes and bakeries around, I'd rather go to one with a warmer vibe. Or stay with my Yaletown SV.
