    Assortment of cakes

I really wanted to try this cake place out because who can pass up a cute animal shaped cake? The cake store was in a shopping plaza with parking. They sell big cakes, mini cakes, macarons, cake slices icecream and other things. If you spend a certain amount you get a discount on another item. I got the panda panda cake and it was amazing. The cake melts in your tongue and there were thinly sliced dried mangoes layered in between the cake. I'll be thinking about the cake for a while. Staff were very patient and friendly as well. I can't wait to visit again to try some other cake flavors.

The creativity here is pretty remarkable. If you're looking for unique and specialty cakes that present well, definitely give this place a try. We ordered four different cakes that were all tasty but the presentation and the design were amazingly creative. The service here was really good as well. They were able to pack each cake individually in nice boxes and bags. You get what you pay for because these cakes are not cheap but worth it for a special occasion.

Sweet and photo friendly desserts Cozy and cute vibes Memorable cakes for special occasions I prefer places with excellent coffee and tea options to pair with pastries but their coffee and milk tea were just decent but not superb. Savory croissant (truffle crab) was very rich and I couldn't finish. Bobalicious was too sweet for me but it definitely brings a smile with its cute design. Cozy spot in Richmond to chill and enjoy some "daan go", aka cakes in Cantonese ^_~ Although I recently don't have any sweet tooth cravings to fancy their sweet cakes or cute macarons for dessert, I may return on a hot summer day when visiting Richmond to try out their various ice cream flavours. Their service was decent and I noticed they thoughtfully designed a small window on the side of the store for picking up cake orders. I would like to rate them higher for excellent cake presentation and designs but it's not a high 4 or 5 stars for me as I didn't find great tasting dessert item to my liking on recent visits. This is still a place that I would visit again with an open mind when I am in the area or to bring friends that like super cute desserts.

We got this limited edition cake for fathers day and it was definitely the best cake I've ever had. Previously I find their cakes to be more on the sweet side, so I didn't like it very much. But after seeing they had this new flavour I just had to get it. I originally asked for less sweet but was told they make it in batches so they are unable to adjust the sweetness which I accepted. The cake was actually really delicious. The sponge cake was soaked in coffee, then a layer of chocolate cream, then cake, and then a layer of pistachio cream and topped with this super yummy pistachio chocolate on top and two macarons. The coffee balance out the sweetness which I really liked. Too bad it's only available for a limited time or I would order it again.

Lots of variety of cakes and they even have ice cream. Everything is almost too pretty eat. I've heard lots of good things about this place. Parking is ample right outside as well. This bakery is more of a pick up and go kinda place; not a sit and chat over coffee with a piece cake. I can't wait to try the cakes.

Actually lost count of how many times I've been here - Nice shared parking lot available - however, can we challenging to find a spot during peak meal times - you could technically also walk here from Lansdowne as well! Place is nicely lit - with just a few tables to sit and enjoy your treats, I normally take them to go as I can't land a table. - or plan to have them as after dinner treats. Service here can sometimes be hit or miss - as the staff sometimes are too occupied with chatter among themselves and miss some opportunities to assist you , however I find they are normally knowledgeable and can make good suggestions on what to get. I personally really like the tiramisu & 24 mango cake (no picture) - flavors are pretty good - however, you might want to share your treat with someone , as they can get quite overwhelmingly sweet!

100/10 Always tasty I've tried a few of the desserts. The strawberry crème are the best one yet ! It's a light but crisp croissant base , filled with a slightly sweet filling and topped with strawberries. I also tried the cactus pot , layers of mousse , cake and dark chocolate shell. It is quite sweet. There is some seating in the restaurant and you order at the counter so it is really quick.

Daan Go Cake Lab 4731 Garden City Riad, Unit # 100 Richmond My kids were in Richmond & went to get some dessert... I recommend the Mango cake... my son got a cute Chocolate Mousse Ramen cake... OMG, it was so cute, it includes the noodles, Japanese fish cake & even a pair of chopsticks... extremely skilled in the cake decoration, the taste is good too. I let the picture speaks for itself Sorry ... no photo of the other cakes but the ramen bowl.

I think I was expecting something more delicious coming from a winner of masterchef. I found the items to be visually appealing and had very interesting flavor profiles, but I didn't find the items to be that tasty unfortunately. I tried their ramen bowl, hk milk tea cake, and a white peach macaron. The white peach macaron was good, but the others I didnt' find that memorable.

Last visit Jan 2025 A little hard to rate, due to their croissants being considerably better than everything else, but here goes: Churro Croissant: 5 stars, 10/10 beautifully decadent. What you'd imagine a churro at a Michelin star restaurant would be like. Strawberry & Cream Croissant: 5 stars, 9.9/10 better than any strawberry cream cake. Crunchy and flakey, not too sweet. I actually can't go back to just cakes. The Macarons were good, but for the price they'd need to beat Thiery, and unfortunately they don't. 4 stars Lucky Duck mini lemon cake: I love lemon tarts, but this one underwhelmed me, especially for $9. 3.25 stars Strawberry Pocky Cookie: everything I'd want in a cookie, except I'd have wanted white chocolate as well. 4.5 stars Overall, their Croissants are fantastic, and not too sweet, we've tried a couple of the mini cakes, neither impressed us;, the cookies are really good, and the macarons were good (best we've tried in Richmond so far) but a tad pricey. 8.3/10, 4.25 stars

This bakery offers a variety of cute small cakes, large cakes, macarons, and baked goods. I always enjoy the presentation of their desserts, which are great to bring to a home party or gathering. This time, I visited for the limited-time items from the Nomsmag Food Festival and Vancouver Croissant Crawl. Mont Blanc Croissant - Chestnuts berry croissant with vanilla cream, Nomsmag food festival This item was delicious! The chestnut paste and vanilla cream paired perfectly, and the croissant dough was so crispy. I enjoyed having the croissant with the cream and paste together. It was very good! The Pumpkin - Biscotti crumble, Candied pumpkin, Pistachio orange cremeux, Green cardamom, Orange zest, White chocolate mousse. Nomsmag food festival. The white chocolate mousse was good, but I'm not sure if the candied pumpkin, orange zest, and green cardamom go well together. I think there are too many different ingredients in one dessert, so I would prefer just the white chocolate mousse, pumpkin, and pistachio cremeux. I do like the idea, though." Thai Milk Tea Creme Catalan Croissant extra-crispy croissant tart, filled with a silky smooth Thai milk tea crème catalan for a unique twist on a classic treat. I really like this croissant! It has plenty of Thai milk cream filling inside the crispy croissant dough. Just like the Mont Blanc croissant, the crispy dough and filling go very well together. The filling's flavor was strong and delicious! Pina Colada Croissant flaky croissant "bar" filled with a tropical pineapple rum compote, dipped in dark chocolate, rolled in shredded coconut, & topped with coconut ganache. The pineapple rum compote, dark chocolate dip, and coconut ganache were great and went well together. Ramen bowl cake Pudding Noodles Coffee Jelly Milk Chocolate Mousse Chiffon Cubes Caramel Syrup Diced Caramelized Pears One of the most unique items in this shop. The ramen bowl appearance is perfect--so cute! However, the syrup and jelly texture could be a bit smoother. The chocolate mousse was good. I'm looking forward to seeing the next new cute dessert. I can't wait!

A cute little spot in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The inside is very aesthetically pleasing and has cute decor while still making use of the fact that this place was definitely some sort of automotive shop in its past life. They have basic teas and coffee as well as pastries, cakes, macarons, and cutely designed desserts. The workers were very helpful with the ordering process and describing what each item was to us before we bought it. The macarons were really good and my favorite would have to go with the Pandan one. The desserts that we got were definitely an experience while eating. Each part of it felt like an art piece as we would bite into the "dirt" of the cactus which was full of crunchy pieces of what seemed to be chocolate amongst other things. Same with the noodles and how there was a short of jelly to be tasted as we continued to eating. Overall a good experience and definitely a nice place to order multiple things if you're looking for something edible yet very cute to eat.

Extremely satisfied with their Ramen Bowl cake, which combines pudding noodles with a coffee jelly broth, all served in a chocolate ramen bowl. Inside the "bowl" is a "broth" of deliciousness! This is the perfect treat for any sweet-toothed ramen lover to try! Service was okay, Ambiance is uniquely fit for a cake shop!

I sampled a bite; flaky, buttery and fresh. - 6x Macarons ($12.00 for 6) - we opted for the passionfruit chocolate, earl grey chocolate, matcha, mango, pistachio and black currant. All sounded great but we wanted bolder, stronger flavours. Favourite of the bunch was the black currant. GM&F is a cute French pastry shop to check out if you're in the area. 3.5 stars.

Take Urban is a new hidden gem near Stadium Chinatown, and it was originally a petite Korean cafe…read morethat sells bibimbap and rice burgers. It recently reopened and transformed into a cute dessert cafe. Except for the classic Korean dishes, they also sell big macarons that caught my attention. You might miss this shop, but it is totally worth your time to pay a visit here. Take Urban specializes in Korean-style macarons, which is also known as ddungcaron or "fat macarons". These macarons are unlike anything that can be found in other cafes in Vancouver. They are double or even triple the size of a regular macaron. Each macaron is $3/each. Take Urban serves over 10 flavors, and each is filled with a unique buttercream and garnish. For example, the Matcha KitKat uses a matcha buttercream with pieces of matcha KitKat as a garnish. I bought half a dozen, and here are the flavors that I tried: - Cookie Crunch - Real Oreo - Honey Yuzu - Tiramisu - Matcha KitKat - Coffee Anglaise Cookie Crunch has cookie crumbs surrounded outside, and it is overloaded with buttercream filling. Between the buttercream of the Real Oreo, there is literally an oreo, which adds crunch to the soft macaron. Coffee Anglaise is my favorite, as I can never resist the touch of bitterness from the strong espresso flavor. Honey Yuzu surprises me the most. Bits of real yuzu is mixed into the buttercream, which gives a refreshing touch to a heavy macaron. Tiramisu is coated with cocoa powder, and Matcha KitKat adds chunks of matcha KitKat into the matcha buttercream. All the flavors are great and on point. My favorite is the Tiramisu and Honey Yuzu, and I think I would love to try other unique flavors, such as the Cheese Cracker and Birthday Cake. If you are planning to put them in the fridge, make sure to put them out for 5 minutes before savoring it. The buttercream will be more creamy, and the shell is soft and chewy. Overall Impression These macarons are pretty and delicious. If you are looking for gift ideas, I think half a dozen to a box of 8 is nice and presentable. I love how it is not too sweet, and each one is unique. The additional touch of garnish just brings the macaron game to a whole new level. I highly recommend this place! My friend and I arrived 10 mins early before the class, the notes and some ingredients were prepared and placed on countertop. Yes, we made macarons at her kitchen. The first thing I learnt from Connie was how to pronounce Macaron. (Mac-a-ron). Macaron is referring to the French Macaron. If pronounce it macaroon, it is the coconut kind. We started with a cup of tea and tasted beautiful macarons during the class. Our group decided to make Lavender macarons with buttercream and chocolate ganache which made of 66% Valhrona dark chocolate. Connie taught us her secrets and techniques to make Parisian macarons. Connie, the instructor emailed me promptly to let me know as soon as there are 4 people in the class, it will be good to go. I'm just a self-taught baker making assorted cookies and cupcakes at home and have never taken a class before so I didn't know what to really expect. The intimate setting of having 4 students was awesome. She had tea for us to drink, fun aprons to wear and 2 sample macarons to taste as we learned the secrets of baking macarons. It's great for people who have tried making macarons and need to tweak something to make consistent perfect macarons. You can tell Connie is just obsessed with macarons. I love it! She has done the work, spent time learning the skill and art of them and loves sharing that information through her classes. I think she said she has been making macarons weekly for the past year and a half! That's a LOT of macarons. If you love macarons and love to bake, Connie's class is a MUST. I had so much fun, and she is so pleasant. She even welcomes emails if you have a macaron crisis at home and have questions in the future. The price is fair. $100 for instruction PLUS you get to take 20 macarons home! It was definitely worth it. The whole experience makes me dreamy for Paris and macarons.
