Mango Cheesecake ~ The cheese cake was so good, it was smooth and rich. The mango was fragrant, and not too sweet. The cheesecake portion was heavy so it can get rich! Im glad to be able to have shared it with my family! * There was also a ton of buns the green onion sausage was my favourite one because it was still warm when I had it! * 9/10 ~ The cheesecake was surpringly very delicious, I enjoyed it a lot and so did the family. The buns were all good too, the green onion was my favourite.

Ready for Mid-autumn festival? My belly said she is Yolk lava moon cake is trending these years. First time trying a store baked moon cake Pretty impressed for the @saintgermainbakerybc for their custard mooncake. Both Lava salted yolk custard & Salted egg yolk mooncake has nice presentation and available for order in boxes or single. I prefer the regular egg yolk one since it's less sweet than the lava one. Worth trying if you don't have a large appetite to endure the entire box! I also tried their egg tarts. Love the cheese tart! What's your favourite mooncake flavour? Saint-Germain bakery

It's been a year since I've been here, and you're now able to pick your own items in the case. No need to pick a number and tell the workers what you want. This place is located in the Aberdeen Centre, so there's ample of parking spaces. It's located next to HMart. We usually get the cheese wiener dog and the coconut bun to snack on.

It was one of those - one off days that I felt like having a cake. I knew my dad really liked chestnut cake and so I decided to come to Saint Germain to pick up one of those Asian Chestnut cakes for him. One thing good about Saint Germain's cake is that they are very generous on the fillings. Yes I have went to their competitors (Boss, Maxim and etc) and have bought the similar cake and there were hardly any chestnuts inside. Also their cakes are freshly made daily. You can't go wrong getting a cake from them. Prices are definitely cheaper than Anna's. Note that there are plenty of free parking (but dependent on luck) at Saint Germain because its located inside the mall.

Didn't realize they had taro flavour cake until I was surprised by my sister. This was very moist and delicious, not too sweet.

Saint Germain's is one of my fave Chinese bakeries to stock up on meat-filled pastries. My mom unfortunately hasn't been able to quarantine yet due to her work being deemed essential, so on her way home she was picking up a few necessities from Aberdeen Mall and was enticed by the fresh smelling baked goods from Saint Germain. Knowing how much I love these pastries, she bought a few for me. Bless her heart. I know they specialize in cakes and sweet pastries, but like I mentioned, I've only tried their savoury baked goods. My favourites are the chicken filled sweet bun and chicken buttered roll. The sweet bun has a generous amount of filling and the buttered roll has the perfect flaky texture. I know they have plenty of other locations, but during this time their Aberdeen location is the only one still open. They are currently also offering delivery via Uber Eats. If you're looking to get your fix of Chinese inspired pastries, order from Saint Germain.

Went to the new store at 1399 E. 33rd and tried their lobster roll which is available only at this store. It has a much larger space than the other stores and the lobster rolls are make on order. However, at $21 a piece, I would expect more. There's a lot of lobster meat but the whole thing tastes bland and previously frozen. Once is enough and rather disappointing. Would not recommend anyone getting it.

Was excited to finally try this place after passing by it so many times. Aberdeen mall is full of amazing food so I had high expectations for this pastry store. My experience has however not quite met my expectations. I tried the mango mousse cake, strawberry mousse cake, and passionfruit cheesecake. The mousse cakes are pretty delicious but the mousse:cake ratio was too high in my opinion. They were also very small for their price (4-5$). The passionfruit cheesecake was good on the first bite, but got really too heavy halfway through. And I was sharing with a friend. The passionfruit taste was also pretty faint. The service was alright. The ladies were pretty impatient, but not rude. Overall, I might try their buns if I pass by, but will probably not go out of my way to go there.

I was excited to try a non U.S. Chinese bakery. I bought the Napolean and buns for breakfast. The price is comparable to the U.S.

The cocktail buns are consistently well filled with their coconut fillings and have a tender outer bun. My family really likes how soft and satisfying these buns are to eat. I tried my Portuguese egg tart first. The pastry shell is known as a thousand layer pastry with its delucate, very flaky texture and slighty savory flavour that balances the creaminess and sweet of the egg custard. I found the custard texture with its broiled surface to be as smooth and almost as creamy as the custard filled in The He Made Portuguese tart. Almost and very close. The other flaky egg tart was similar in taste and texture in both the pastry and custard but I think Kam Do bakery's version of their Portuguese egg tart is a really good second to He Made. The flaky egg tarts are also available in a cookie crust too. For $2.45 each at this bakery it is excellent value for the money when you can't get a piece in the best. The service at this bakery is very well organized to keep line ups moving. The interior is well lit with organized and labeled shelves of baked goods ready to take home. Self serve from these shelves. They also have a refrigerated section for prepared fruit filled cakes and Swiss rolls to go. Cash and cards. No American Express accepted though. I received with a box of assorted pastries, a box of wife cakes, and $30 in gift cards. This is my honest review of my visit and I wasn't required to post a review. When I came into the store, the staff were confused about what I was trying to pick up at first, but it was quickly resolved when the manager came to the front counter and I explained to her that I was one of the contest winners. The queue was short because not many customers was inside at the time so I was in and out pretty quickly. The store area was spacious and there were quite a lot of pastries on display. The pastries i received were beautifully boxed. They could definitely be presented as gifts to loved ones or work colleagues. The box was gold and red, with a golden foiled design on the lid and a gold string ribbon to keep the lid closed. The pastries themselves were gorgeous. Just looking at them made my mouth water. They were soft and crumbly to the touch. The buns of the pastry were buttery and the outer layer was very flaky with every bite. Some of the pastry buns had sesame seeds sprinkled on the top. They were all baked perfectly. The inside fillings were quite sweet but no overly sweet. There was no indication on the box on what kind of pastries they were so im not totally sure what kind of pastries i received. Some had a sweet tasting filling with an egg yolk or a century egg center, just red bean paste, or just some other type of sweet filling. I shared the pastries with my family over afternoon green tea and they were a hit! My family loved them. The wife cakes I received were very soft, tasted delicious, and sweet but not as sweet as the assorted pastries. They were filled with winter melon filling, i believe. They were also made a great pairing when they were served with tea. They were all individually wrapped with plastic wrap which helped keep them fresh. The boxed was also nicely designed with gold and red colors. My family really liked them. Overall, i think Kam Do bakery is one of the best Chinese bakeries in Richmond. Gotta give them 5 stars for their absolutely delicious pastries.

Coffee milk tea (1/5) Super watered down coffee and it was way too sweet. It was a waste of money 2. Cheese Tart (4/5) At least the cheese tart was good. It had a nice cheesecake flavor but in tart form. Overall, I'd skip this place if you're a visitor in the area.
