Little Fox Bakehouse is located in Aberdeen Center. It's basically a grab-and-go spot. Not really any seating there. Service was efficient. I got the Earl Grey croissant and it was bomb! I love that the earl grey flavor is incorporated into the pastry itself, not just in the custard like most places do. So good!! I would definitely come back again to try their other flavors.
This bakery makes the whole area smell so good! Lots of buttery pastries and baked goods here! I liked the basque cheesecake and tried several other pastries. The black sesame mochi croissant was unique, the dulce de leche pastry was great, but I'd like more caramel filling. The pineapple coconut croissant was also good, but could have used a bit more filling. Overall a very solid choice for fresh baked good!!
Located on the 1st floor of President Plaza right across from Aberdeen Center. This bakery caught my attention because they sell Asian-flavored croissants and cream puffs so I made my way here to grab their popular Salted egg yolk croissant. The flavor itself was rather subtle and not too pronounced but it did have a nice creamy texture. The croissant itself was flaky and crispy. Prices are pretty good so if I'm ever in the area I'll definitely stop by to try some other flavors of their baked goods.
This place has a great selection of pastries, especially if you're into Asian-inspired flavors. I appreciated the variety and is pretty reasonably priced. I was a littler underwhelmed by the crossiants given that they specialize in them and have so many flavors, I expected more in terms of texture and taste. They weren't bad, they were just okay.
They offer a variety of unique ingredient croissants and other baked goods. Mainly, I found they have Asian flavors, so it's an Asian-Western fusion viennoiserie. I got several croissants: Black sesame mochi croissant, salted egg yolk custard croissant, pineapple bun croissant, croissant loaf, chocolate flat croissant, and Biscoff flat croissant. The black sesame mochi croissant was okay. Black sesame paste and mochi are traditional Asian fusion flavors that many people love. It was quite filling to eat. The salted egg yolk croissant needs more refinement. The egg yolk could be more flavorful, especially in terms of saltiness, and the cookie dough-like topping on the croissant doesn't enhance the flavor. The pineapple bun croissant was good. The topping was just like a pineapple bun's crunchy, sweet topping. There was no filling, but it was simple and delicious Both the chocolate and Biscoff flat croissants need more refinement. The dough is the most important aspect of a flat croissant. It could be more crunchy and have a puffier croissant dough texture. They were a bit dry and not crunchy at all. he croissant loaf was the best among all the pastries. I cut them into toast-sized slices and lightly baked them. They were delicious. Overall, I feel their croissant dough requires more refinement. They are not crispy and puffed enough. However, to enjoy a variety of Asian flavors or other flavors of croissants, this place is the best. A notable point is the price. The flat croissant was CAD 3.50, and others are very similar. Nowadays, it is so hard to find specialized flavor croissants for CAD 3.50-4.50. Very reasonable considering the quality of ingredients and size of the baked goods.
This is the review only for the earl grey croissant since I have not tried anything else. The price is quite reasonable for the size of the croissant. I can see they mixed some tea leaves into the croissant itself but I did not taste much earl grey in the croissant or in the cream. It was just ok. I came for their famous flattened croissants but even an hour after opening they have sold out. Maybe next time.
Loved Little Fox Bakehouse so much that I found myself back here sooner than I expected! Apple Puff Tart Hojicha Canele Coffee Milk Tea Yin Yeung Cake Mini Cakes Set Apple Puff Tart: Mmm, loved the aroma of apples wafting through the air after we heated this up in a mini oven. Biting into the apple filling was of course, even better! Hojicha Canele: First time having a canele where the canele itself had a different flavor as opposed to simply putting some kind of topping on a regular canele. I was quite impressed with how strong the hojicha flavour was. Texture of the canele was excellent as well. It had that nice crispy exterior that a canele should have. Mini Cakes Set: This was such an incredible deal. For only $8 we got 5 different flavors of mini cakes. They were all shaped like cubes which made it easy to cut each cake into four pieces. Perfect for sharing in a group of 4. We got to try Matcha Sesame Opera, Chocolate Passionfruit, Mango Shortcake, Strawberry Shortcake and Coffee Milk Tea Yin Yeung Cake. The larger Coffee Milk Tea Yin Yeung Cake was actually purchased as a gift for someone whom we delivered the cake to, so it worked out well that there was a small piece of it in the Mini Cakes Set that we could try for ourselves. Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free Location: #1180 - 8181 Cambie Rd., Richmond, BC
We stumbled across this bakery when we were looking for a vegan (lactose free) cake. This place offered so much more with a huge variety of pastries and cakes. On the bottom floor of President Plaza, this bakery was easy to get to; however parking up front was hard to find. There is a parkade in the back of the building. The cake we ordered was ready to pick up as promised. We wanted to sit and enjoy a coffee with a croissant, but the seating area was small and dark and didn't feel welcoming. It was not so much the bakery but the venue placement and the mall itself. Overall, I am impressed by the French croissants fused with some of the Asian inspired flavors such as the matcha and pork floss croissant . The food presents well and great for host gifts and parties.
Adorable little bakery inside a non-descript Asian mall in Richmond (President's Plaza). Initially planned on eating at the Food Hall with the hubby and baby but it was quite busy and tight so we decided to go to Aberdeen instead but dropped by this viral bakery to satisfy our curiosity. Price points are fair and they had a steady stream of customers and a wide variety of baked items available. Hubby ordered their HK Milk Tea cream puff while I got their nutella banana bread pudding. Hubby loved their cream puff and he said it was unique and delicious. I enjoyed my bread pudding, it was moist, dense and flavourful. Looking forward to trying their other offerings next time especially their filled croissants and savoury croissants. Great little spot you must try if you love viennoserie and cream puffs.
The praline around the New York Cheesecake was way too sweet. It is actually better not to coat the cheesecake with the praline; it is just unnecessary. The chocolate sponge underneath the cheesecake was so dry and it was out of proportion as shown as in the picture (one side is lower than the other side). It is better to have the regular graham crust for the cheesecake. You cannot really taste the black tea for the Black Tea Lychee cake; you can only taste the sweet white chocolate mousse. The lychee cream in the middle tasted bitter which was scary. The vanilla sponge cake at the bottom was also dry and tasteless. For the Chocolate Passionfruit, the dark chocolate mousse did not have a strong flavour. Again, the chocolate sponge cake at the bottom was dry and tasteless. For the Basque Cheesecake, there was not much vanilla beans in the cheesecake so you could not really taste the flavour. Also, they had thin transparent paper to coat the cake (as shown in the picture which is uncommon) which made it look weird. I wish they had a smaller box for the products because they put the three individual cakes into a large box which was difficult to carry. Usually, the bakeries would have difficult sizes of boxes.
Love the creativity of the items here! Unique asian fusion desserts at a great price and quality. I was blown away by the sheer number of different items here and wanted to try everything. Got several items and really enjoyed the chocolate croissant and MANGO CREAM PUFF!! The egg tart croissant was a miss for me as there is like a teaspoon of egg tart filling (not enough to be satisfying) and the filling seemed to make the croissant soggy. Overall this item seemed amazing in theory but a miss. ps. thank you for generously offering a free reusable bag! Can't wait to try more items next time.
Tasty bakery in Richmond inside a strip mall. The chocolate croissant is quite good I must say. Unlike most other bakeries, this thing had just the right amount of sweetness. Most other places make them way too sweet. Will try some more of their pastries at some point.
Omg this place has mouthwatering croissants! This is my first time trying their matcha seasame cake - I thought their cake was OK but still tasteful. Their croissants & egg tart though was MOUTHWATERING - I want more and I am craving for more! I will most likely go pick some up today on my way to grocery shopping...they do free delivery purchase up to $40 - their prices are reasonable and affordable for birthday cakes or for any special occasions unlike other cake places that charge their cake $60 and up which is quite pricey for cakes. Little Fox only charges $35 for 6 servings - totally worth it! Delivery service was great as they let me know what time exactly they would be here since I was at work. Ambiance is to be continued as I will check out their bakery today however I don't think their ambiance matters as much since it's a bakery store.
I've been ordering and picking up baked goods and cakes from Little Fox for a few years now. They are located inside President Plaza in a stall on the ground floor. You will not find prices as good as these from any other French style bakeries. For example, $32 for a 6 inch cake is an absolute steal. Their baked goods range from $2.75-$6.75, which is significantly more fair than many bakeries I've been to in Vancouver. They have a seamless online ordering system and cakes can be ordered for pick up ahead of time. They have many varieties of cakes and baked goods, but some of my favourites are the matcha filled croissant and matcha black sesame opera cake. There is also a chocolate vegan option cake which tastes amazing considering there's no dairy or eggs in it. Would highly recommend this place for value and quality. read more
Little fox Bakehouse is a popular Asian patisserie that sells cakes, croissants, puffs and most things dessert lovers love. I've been to the bakery many times and i often find their products a hit and miss. This time i got a Hong Kong milk tea puff and a salted egg croissant. I don't know why I keep on buying their puffs everytime and end up disappointed. Normally i find their filling too little or other times they'd be too sweet. This time, the filling oozed out of the puff for some reason and onto the food court table. Needless to say i couldn't just scoop it back up and eat it. Was the puff not molded properly prior to baking? The salted egg croissant was extremely delicious though. The croissant flaky and buttery, which complemented the salted egg filling inside. read more

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE 4.5 stars: the baked goods are not cheap, but if you're looking for good quality cakes, a large assortment of super-sized croissants of unusual flavours, then Little Fox is for you! === 2. FOOD Everything is good; however, on this most recent visit, we tried the: - Almond Croissant ($3.75): fantastic! - Hong Kong Style Pineapple Croissant ($3.75): a cross between a pineapple bun and and croissant - the crunchiness is interesting...it's nice - in an anti-croissant way! - Chocolate Chip Cookie: very large, thin, and crispy! === 3. SERVICE For takeout service, it worked just fine in English; I overheard customers speaking Cantonese and Mandarin well enough. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a stall on the ground floor and so you're going there for takeout only. The stall itself is contemporary enough, which is a bright light amid the surroundings. As it is, wheelchairs and baby strollers roll up to the counter just fine. Parking works out well typically - during the pandemic anyway - in the complex lot just outside. read more

So I've been seeing all these posts on IG and FB about the mochi donuts and croissants and decided to finally check this place out. Parking was ok and there was a lineup of 2 ahead of me and 3 behind me but it went by fast but the smells inside and outside the bakery was amazing so I didn't mind, only issue, hence the 4 stars were that I kinda felt pressured to order quick cause I didn't want the people behind me to wait too long. I ordered 2 x white rabbit mochi donuts, 2 x almond croissants and 2 x boba croissants. Presentation was great, price was decent, and the taste for the boba croissants were pretty good but I wouldn't have this daily. The almond croissants were ok but there didn't seem to be enough filling. The major disappointment was the white rabbit mochi donuts. DONT get me wrong, they're tasty but I hardly tasted the white rabbit?? Maybe I needed to eat the wrapper? Loll I dunno maybe drizzle the top with it and some candy melts? but I was disappointed. Would I come back? Yes, probably sometime in next month or two, but I wouldn't drive from white rock everytime for this. I guess I'm a sucker for these tiktok food review videos.. read more
You've heard of people who drops the cake as soon as they buy them? Yup, that was me! As I was loading the car, I dropped the cake. I immediately went back into the bakery to see if there was anything they can do to remedy my friend's birthday cake. Eric, the owner was there and he insisted on making me a new cake (since the other one was beyond repair). I thought I was going to have to pay for another cake but he was so nice about it and told me he'll make a brand new one on the house. Wow!!! On top of that he also told me to bring the damaged cake home to enjoy with my family. Talk about customer service!!! Even before this, I was already amazed by the prompt and friendly communication by Eric. Little Fox has a wide selection of treats including cookies, macaroons, cakes, croissants and etc. Lots to choose from! Highlights were cheese and tomato croissant, Nutella and dietary chocolate croissants. Eric blew me away with his "customer first" way of running his business. I am a loyal customer for life who will continue to share my experience. read more

Bough their croissant and was a little disappointed, as the fillings became so little compared to the once I got from the past. Still huge croissants with flaky, buttery bread, fresh and delicious, its just that for the first time both three croissants have tiny fillings. read more
Great little bakery tucked away in a quiet location. Pastries were fresh and flakey with unique flavors - Asian - French patisserie fusion - lovely! The croffle - croissant - waffle was delish! Plus they give you a cute little reusable bag! Service was friendly. read more
Yin Yeung 6" Cake $29 (Coffee + Milktea) Mont Blanc Opera $6.50 The cake was really really good! There's coffee cream on the top and milk tea flavour on the bottom. The coffee was quite strong, so it kind of overpowered the milk tea. So I had to eat it separately to taste both flavours. The cake was soft and fluffy and I love how their cream is very airy and not heavy. Definitely worth trying and decent price too! Got the small Mont Blanc for the two nieces as theres caffeine in the other one and they loved it a lot. read more
This is a must try bakery. From their croissants to their specialty breads, to their pastries and this cake, it always impresses me how good their techniques are. This coffee milk tea yin yeung cake is worth mentioning. Three layers of moist cake layers sandwiching HK style milk tea cream and topped with very light coffee espuma. Visually stunning, impeccable mouthfeel and tastes, especially how the astringent tones of coffee are really highlighted but not overpowering the richness of milk tea. One slice is not enough. Highly recommended for your next celebration! read more
My two favourite things in one: matcha and croissants. You can get a delicious matcha-filled croissant from Little Fox Bakehouse. This place has so many different types of croissants and best of all, they're EXTREMELY cheap and MASSIVE. Who doesn't leave a great quality and affordable croissant cafe!? This cute little cafe/bakery is located on the bottom floor of President Plaza, across from Aberdeen Centre. A cute hidden gem that I'll definitely come back to. In addition to croissants they also have a large selection of other pastries: cakes, mochi donuts, cookies and more. We got an assorted box of some of their croissants and I was really impressed. They have a large selection of unique flavoured croissants and I definitely want to come back to try some more! I'm obsessed with a good flaky and butter croissant but couldn't resist the other ones either. MATCHA FILLED CROISSANT So light, fluffy and flaky in texture. The matcha cream filling was so flavourful, lightly sweetened and creamy. They were really generous with the filling and the croissant itself were HUGE! Only $4.50 and I'd say it was definitely worth it. BUTTER CROISSANT My favourite classic croissant. This was a simple croissant done right. Lightly buttered and fluffy inside. This was also soo huge and super cheap. Only $3.25! So cheap, big in size - so worth it. PORK FLOSS CROISSANT Very savoury with a touch of salted egg yolk. It paired so well with the flakiness of the croissant. The black sesame on top was an added bonus. Taking a bite of this really reminded me of my childhood where I'd always eat plain congee with pork floss. This was only $3.75. APPLE PIE DOUBLE BAKED CROISSANT If an apple strudel and a croissant had a baby, this would be it. Very flaky and light. This was $5.25. MATCHA LATTE W/ OAT MILK So delicious and amazingly creamy. I was pleasantly surprised to see on the menu that they use Whisk Matcha's matcha powder. Ordered it as soon as I saw this and wasn't disappointed! read more

Little Fox Bakehouse is located in a plaza across from Aberdeen Centre. Little Fox Bakehouse is a bakery where everything is made from scratch and baked on-site. They use traditional French techniques to create double baked croissants, pastries, cakes, cookie and cream puffs. A canele is a French pastry flavoured with rum and vanilla with a soft and tender custard center and a caramelized crust. I wasn't sure what to expect because I've never had one before but it was quite spongy? It reminded me of a popover or dense puff pastry. The Matcha Canele tasted similar to the original one. The matcha didn't shine through very strongly and if I didn't know ahead of time by the green colour, I wouldn't know it was matcha flavour to it. Perhaps it would be better warmed up? I wonder if they have reheating instructions... White rabbit mochi donut I've had my share of mochi donuts. I've even made them myself before! See recipe here. White rabbit candy is also a nostalgic treat of mine and they have been becoming popular additions to baked gods. So I had some pretty high expectations going in. Again, with the canele, not sure if it's because it wasn't right out of the oven but it was not very chewy. I wish there was more glutinous texture to it because that's what we all love so much about mochi. I didn't detect much white rabbit candy but I did appreciate the caramely notes in it. Thai milk tea mochi donut This mochi donut had the signature orange colour that is so notable to Thai milk teas. As with the white rabbit mochi donut, I would have enjoyed more chewy to it. The mochi donut had notes of black tea and creaminess from perhaps condensed milk? Matcha mochi donut Similar texture as the other two, nothing especially worth mentioning. Red bean, Taro, HK pineapple double baked croissant Now then, onto the more exciting pastries of the batch! This croissant was SO buttery and flaky I can't even describe it. You could see every layer that was put into the croissant and it was quite hefty with filling. The inside had red bean and taro paste! I'm not sure where the pineapple element was but either way, it was so delicious. It was the perfect amount of sweetness from the red bean and earthiness from the taro paste. The crispy exterior held everything together so perfectly. Salted egg double baked croissant This was one of the more adventurous items of the order. Salted egg has been a "fad" of sorts and the flavour is definitely hard to describe. It's like a savoury salty egg yolk and packed with umami flavour. This croissant had a pineapple topping on it to indicate that it was double baked. Anyway, the interior of the croissant had a thin layer of salted egg custard to add almost a buttery flavour to the croissant. It was pretty tasty and a must try if you're feeling adventurous. read more

Cute place inside Presidential Plaza on the main floor. There are a few tables to sit at. No wifi. No cash, debit or credit only which is a first in Richmond! Pastries look very good when you approach the counter. Beautifully presented. The croissants look a little darker/burned from what I'm normally seeing but nonetheless very excited to try. They have sweet and savoury choices for croissants, mochi donut and a variety of cakes. They also have a full service coffee bar. We tried the blueberry croissant and the pork floss croissant. Both were good. Not my favourite place to get croissants but decent if you're in the area. I'd like to try one of their cakes. read more

A stall inside a very lackluster "mall".. easy to miss if you're not specifically searching for this place. I've been here twice now and tried a few of their pieces: Pumpkin Croissant (seasonal) - flaky croissant + pumpkin filling... not my favorite but my bf is a huge fan of pumpkin so he enjoyed it. 3.5/5 Coconut HK Pineapple Croissant - flaky croissant + crust of a HK pineapple bun + coconut filling like a HK coconut bun = love at first bite 4.5/5 Bubble Tea Boba filled Croissant - chewy tapioca pearls + subtle milk tea flavoured cream inside a flaky croissant- yum! I didn't really care for the sprinkling of the granulated sugar on top, I think it would've been better with icing sugar and I wish there was more filling in it. 4/5 Mochi Donut (Matcha, Thai Milk Tea, White Rabbit Candy) - If I were to rank them I would choose the thai milk tea first, white rabbit, then matcha last. I like the subtlety of all of those flavors but I do think the texture is a little lacking. When I think of mochi donuts I automatically think of the shape from Mister Donut but Little Fox's mochi donuts are shaped in a way that makes it a lot more dense and not as chewy. 3.5/5 read more

We were looking for a bakery to pick up some treats for a post-dim sun afternoon nosh. Little Fox looked intriguing on their socials, so we decided to pull into the somewhat dilapidated Presidential Center, and hit the ground floor for some pastries. LFB did not disappoint - setting aside its location (tucked below the well-aged food court on level 2), it is a modern pastry marvel. I didn't take a photo of the entire pastry case but my goodness do these folks work hard. The depth and breadth of the offerings really blew us away. If we hadn't already stuffed ourselves we would have ordered more, but as it was we limited our haul to some samplings of their many croissants, which were all terrific. The lamination of the Viennoiserie, the crackle/crunch of the outer layers, and the unique fillings (HK pineapple, milk tea/boba, salted egg yolk, etc.) - wow wow wow. The croissant waffle is unmissable - it's basically a croissant griddled into a waffle shape, glazed in a sugar coat, and dipped in chocolate. So so good. We'll definitely be back! read more
Can't believe I never tried their croissants before. Their black sesame Mochi croissant I tried was sweet (but not overly so), crispy, chewy and delicious! I reheated it at home in the toaster oven the next day and it tasted even better than when eaten cold! Will definitely visit again and try their other croissants :9 read more

The desserts and pastries are really pretty and cute. The taste is alright. We ordered a mushroom and cheese tart, matcha strawberry cake, a tiramisu and a soy latte. I should have asked them to heat up my tart so it will be softer. The bottom of my matcha strawberry cake was hard so it's a bit tough to cut through. The tiramisu is nice and smooth but a bit too sweet with the chocolate exterior. I like the place overall but I don't love it. There is not much seating but the mall is nice a quiet so good for meeting or chit chat. The only accept debit and credit. read more

So I've given this place two tries now and honestly I just don't see the hype. Mochi donuts lack flavour and don't have enough of a chewy consistency. Their cream puffs are completely underwhelming and don't have enough flavour either. I couldn't tell from taste which was milk tea and which was London dog. Sorry but beta 5 does cream puffs way better. Their croissants are okay..Better places out there for sure. Will not be returning. read more

My friend recommended me to go and so we decided to drop by when we were picking up something nearby! It is quite hidden inside a mall and the store itself is not big. That being said, they have quite a bit of options from cookies, croissants, cakes to other baked goods! Their flavour combos are also very interesting! I decided to grab four of their croissants to try! Matcha Strawberry : it seems like I always say I don't love matcha but I always get it! this one caught my eye not only because of how it looks, but also because I strawberries (it's a recent passion of mine) This was actually in my top of the bunch! Super flaky crust and delicious matcha filling topped with fresh strawberries Charcoal Black Sesame : I got this one bc I've seen so many ppl rave abt it, but truth be told.... I don't like black sesame but for those people who do, this one would be good for you! the aroma of the black sesame is super strong! Double Baked Pumpkin: 100% my ! no surprise that I love pumpkin/fall flavours and this one does it . The crispy croissant filled with this perfect pumpkin filling is truly amazing Dirty Chocolate : this one was recommended to me , although I love chocolate, it was a little tooo chocolate-y for me... for chocolate lovers this would be perfect for you! There were a lot more flavours and they come out with seasonal ones as well! My only complaint would be that they are one the pricier side for croissants but when considering the portion sizing its reasonable! more photos @eatswithcece read more

Okay can we all just stop and take a minute to appreciate these works of art Little Fox has been on my Yelp bookmarks for a while now ever since I accidentally discovered it last year so I decided to finally check it! I never actually checked out the menu before going so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that all their pastries took the form of unique and funky croissants! I grabbed a: - dirty chocolate croissant - purple yam spiral croissant - hk pineapple bun croissant (!!! IKR!!) - black sesame mochi croissant I also grabbed a matcha latte with oat milk for the drive back and the total came to about $21 which I think is quite reasonable for a large latte in addition to such unique and fresh pastries! My family and I really enjoyed them--especially my mom who praised the hk pineapple bun croissant! Will definitely be back and recommending this local bakery to my friends! They are located inside Presidents Plaza and you will definitely smell the shop before seeing it read more

At Little Fox Bakehouse: Thai milk tea Donut - Thai milk tea flavour definitely lacking! A little mochi texture to it but not really. White Rabbit Donut - Flavour here is stronger. Can taste that sweet milk flavour but also not chewy enough as a mochi donut. Milk tea Cream Puff - Tea flavour can be stronger! I got near closing so all the puffs were not crunchy nor crispy. London Fog Cream Puff - Tea flavour lacks even more. Did not think this was London fog at all. Tasted more chocolatey? Caramel Cream Puff - This is most likely my favourite! Flavour was strong and distinct. Always better to get the cream puffs sooner when they're just baked for better crunch and crispiness. read more
