    Huge bun. Calculator for comparison.

I am still trying to figure out the draw for this bakery. There is always a long line in the evening and their products do run out quickly. Good luck if you are there after 6.30 pm on weekdays. I do not think the buns are anything special or that tasty. I much prefer Maxim's but this place is convenient as it is nearer the bus loop and sky train. The prices are also a bit higher when compared to Maxim's and T&T bakery. So many other people are like me....there because it is more convenient.

Passionfruit cheesecake. They threw in a candle too!

These ladies courteously made my cake to order despite me messing up my online cake order. Oops! They were kind, friendly, and didnt make me feel (too) stupid for my mistake. They customized the cake while I was there and it was quick to boot. The passionfruit cheesecake was delicious and loved by all. Slightly sweet, fluffy, with a perfect amount of fruit and decorations on top. It was beautiful! I dont like incredibly sweet, dense cheesecake and this was made exactly to my preference (dont get me wrong, I'd still eat it, cause duh, cheesecake). The cookie crumb on the bottom was also really yummy and added a good mouth feel to the cake. Bonus, they gave us a candle for the birthday girl. Aww. I saw many many tantalizing items that I want to try next time, so I will be back. P.S. I ordered my cake online and took advantage of a 12% discount! Cake was packaged well so it was easy to carry with fumbling hands full of shopping bags through a mall :)

    Mango mousse cake

I tried their cakes for the first time, mango mousse, and I thought it was really just okay. I expected a very light cake, but it tasted more denser than expected -- it was more like medium light and it was a little sweeter than expected. The mango mousse was only available on the top layer and the bottom layer was just regular cake. The side of the cake could have been made better, as the assembly of the cake looked like it was rushed. I also tried their molten cheese tarts and they were very delicious and addictive tasting. I prefer them over their regular egg tarts.

Delicious cakes and buns. Their buns are delicious and cakes are worth to try. However the price on cakes are bit expensive though. I bought Tiramisu($3.50), White Choco Strawberry cake($3.99) and Cinnamon Stick ($1.35) and they were delicious. I wanted to give 4 stars but their cakes are so expensive. I could've bought cheaper cakes at Maxim as the ones here are small and expensive.

Do not try "Orange Chocolate Mousse Cake" Very heavy taste. All my family got sick after ate this. Price doesn't mach the quality. Don't waste your money.

The cake is delicious! Favorite barbecued pork roll ! The skin is very crisp, very fragrant butter inside the trap

We entered and joined the line, very earthy ambience with plenty of tables though very busy and full. Woodsy, and very clean. Sounds of all the patrons enjoying themselves with banter or working on their laptop whilst enjoying some beverage or food. I ordered the chocolate slice cake, wifey got a berry croissant and we got a tiramisu tart and tiramisu box to go. I ordered a house coffee just for something to drink with the cake and wifey also got a mocha. The cake was very good, not super sweet(for regular person) I'm diabetic so this was probably a bit much for me but I wanted to try. The butter cream in between each layer of chocolate sponge cake was smooth. The chocolate ganache was shiny and soft. I personally like more cake in general but this is a solid cake if you like butter cream and chocolate!. Wifeys croissant was full of cream on top and in the middle. Very soft and good for whipped cream lovers. The berries were large and sweet. Baked goods on terms from the ones we partook in were very good. Definitely understand why this is a popular place and always busy. Check it out!

This cafe is a good spot to catch up with friends over coffee and pastries that is transit-friendly. This time I came for brunch with my fiancé and we shared the fried chicken platter, and ordered the Spanish latte and iced mocha as our drinks. The food and drinks were good but for the price point, I wouldn't come back for brunch. I feel like this cafe is definitely overhyped and pricey compared to other local spots.

The pastries are delicious and crafted so beautifully. I came here for hot chocolate festival and the flavours were spot on. A tad sweet but it's hot chocolate. I also tried their limited time sticky rice croissant which had all the umami flavours one could want! Texture of the croissant was crunchy, butter and full of flavour. Sadly, the sticky rice texture mixed with croissant was not the best. The service here is great. Staff are friendly. The only downside to this store is the way their line up system works. They have 2 store areas, connected by the till. It's a bit hard to pass through when there are people waiting in line to pay, waiting on line to order, etc. Just a bit of awkward spacing

My cousin recently had Cory from HEY! CAKE THIS! Make a cake for her and below is what she said:…read more YEY!!! I found my forever cake designer and maker for all my family celebrations! I wasn't going to write any reviews because I just don't want to spend time doing it. But when I showed pictures of the cake Cory created for my daughter to my family and friends, I knew I had to write one. I was also reminded by my cousin and sisters about that rip off cake I received last year for my son. The cake we all called the Photocopy cake ( see review for Yummy Yonnie Cakes) But first, let me tell you about CORY'S cakes from HEY CAKE THIS! Cory does not limit the style, colour, theme, flavour, filling or size of the cake. He gives his clients free range. But keep in mind, price will obviously go up the more elaborate your imagination. If you can imagine it. He will create it! I reached out to Cory to get an idea of how much a Poppy cake would be and I even sent a picture I found online to him for reference. I told him to put many flowers and make the cake pink. I wanted strawberry filling, with fresh strawberries and a vanilla cake. Boy did he deliver! The cake I received exceeded my expectations. Everything on that cake was fondant. He cut out all the flowers, the letterings, the number, AND the star of the cake.... POPPY! He made a 2D Poppy! Nothing on that cake was a photocopy image stuck onto sugar paper. Look carefully at Poppy. Her dress, the eyes and mouth. So much details. Cory handprinted some of the details on her too. I commented on his Poppy and how I appreciated him not doing a photocopy image. He told me if the image is not complex he will do all it all freehand. I only gave I'm a week and a half for this cake too! Due to the pandemic, Cory offered free delivery. He wanted to make sure his cake was in the best condition for his clients. Cory is also very considerate. When he arrived, he actually took out a fold up table to place his cake on. He did not want to put the cake on the floor or ground where it could pick up germs. After he put it on the table, he stepped back (social distancing) so that I could take it. The box the cake came in was GOLD with a pink ribbon to complete the look. Did you know he actually MAKES all his boxes the cakes go into? No cheap see through cellophane. But a nice gold colour cardstock box. This is better because if the cake was to be a surprise , the box will definitely keep the cake hidden. My kids recycled the box and make gold cut out starts and crowns for their dolls. Cory is definitely a master cake creator. He will not disappoint. The communication between him and I for the cake was awesome. Before he went ahead with anything he was unsure of, he reached out to me. He wanted to make sure his suggestions was something I would also like. Vancouver is fortunate to have their own 'Duff Goldman'. I regret not having found him sooner to make my cakes. The Photocopy cake was an expensive lesson. Don't go to a place that limits you or brush your feedback off. GO TO CORY from HEY CAKE THIS! You won't be disappointed! I look forward to my two other cakes in the next few weeks! I will post it here as well for everyone to see. His work speaks for itself. All his reviews are excellent. Nothing less than 5 stars. I wish I can give him 10 stars! Cory's custom cakes ARE worth the splurge 1-2 or even 3 times a year! Thank you Cory!
