I'd driven past Nana's Bakery many times and heard good things about it so when I saw it on the Too Good To Go app, I decided to give them a try. The bag was filled mostly with savoury goods in it but we did get one baked good that seemed to be more of a dessert. When I picked it up, I inquired about whether there was any meat in any of the foods. The lady was kind enough to switch some of the foods for me so that it was all Vegetarian food in the bag. To be honest, we weren't crazy about every single item in our bag. For the price we paid though, I think it was still very good value and we did find at least two items in the bag that we very much enjoyed. So would I go back to Nana's Bakery? Absolutely! There was some kind of savoury pastry that had a potato filling in it. Loved that. Also, there was some kind of spiral pastry with cheese in it. Loved that as well. I was very happy that the lady was willing to switch the foods for me so that it was Vegetarian, so...top marks for customer service!

First time visiting, we ordered the Chevapi and a chicken pita, also picked up some pistachio croissants and a small cheese cake dessert for my wife Taste 1/1* Chevapi was great, perfectly seasoned sausages wrapped in between a fluffy pan toasted bread with loads of onions, the side sauces were a great addition Pita was crispy and flavourful Value 1/1* Good value for both cooked food and groceries, just from the 30min we've spend sitting outside enjoying our food, there's been non stop customers, which to us speaks volumes Service 0.5/1* Nothing spectacular Cleanliness 0.5/1* Looked very organized, but dusty under the surface feel Overall/Revisit 1/1* Would definitely revisit if in the area Paying for ambience? 0/-1* NO Above and beyond? 0/+1* NO

I had this place bookmarked long long time ago. I even talked about visiting it many times. The time has finally arrived. B, S and I were going for a walk in the area. We ended up walking over to Nana's. It is a small bakery but at the same time, it is a very busy bakery. It is super popular. We got the beef savory pastry (Borek) and oh wow. It was nice and flaky. You can tell it was made on the day fresh. The beef was very flavorful. Super delcious. B and I will need to come back

I only noticed this place cuz their ad always pops up on my FB feed. I noticed they have roast lamb and I love lamb. It's kinda in a industrial part of town, off the beaten track for sure. The girl who served me was nice, she told me they have lamb on Fri/Sat and Sun. when I asked her about the availability. It was pretty damn tasty...the skin was a bit on the salty side but it was very moist and tender. They have a small parking lot and their is parking across the road. I think I will be back for more lamb for sure.......

These little pita babies are actually bureks which come in savoury and sweet fillings. The owner explained that bureks are usually filled with meat, but since he also fills his with vegetables and fruit, he calls them pitas to avoid confusion. I actually prefer to call them bureks because I don't see any resemblance to the pitas I've eaten. They're nice and warm and a steal at $2 each. I tried the beef, spinach and mushroom savoury ones. All were good and filling. They were even more yummy served with hot sauce, spinach/artichoke dip and mango salsa. I also picked two sweet ones, apple and cherry. You will be rewarded if you make the trek to this out of the way bakery.

Nana's Bakery specializes in pitas. These aren't your typical pita flatbreads if that's what you're thinking. These are filo pastries stuffed with either mushroom, meat, cheese, spinach, zucchini, sauerkraut, potato or salmon. I haven't had a chance to try them all, but the few that I tried ranges from average (sauerkraut) to amazing (meat or mushroom). The zucchini is worth a mention as well because it's delicious and I don't feel guilty since I'm eating my vegetables. Nana's also about 4 types of desserts including baklava, but I haven't tried them yet. Call ahead to place an order for pickup because these aren't always made ahead of time. If you're in the area, they're definitely worth stopping for.

We entered and joined the line, very earthy ambience with plenty of tables though very busy and full. Woodsy, and very clean. Sounds of all the patrons enjoying themselves with banter or working on their laptop whilst enjoying some beverage or food. I ordered the chocolate slice cake, wifey got a berry croissant and we got a tiramisu tart and tiramisu box to go. I ordered a house coffee just for something to drink with the cake and wifey also got a mocha. The cake was very good, not super sweet(for regular person) I'm diabetic so this was probably a bit much for me but I wanted to try. The butter cream in between each layer of chocolate sponge cake was smooth. The chocolate ganache was shiny and soft. I personally like more cake in general but this is a solid cake if you like butter cream and chocolate!. Wifeys croissant was full of cream on top and in the middle. Very soft and good for whipped cream lovers. The berries were large and sweet. Baked goods on terms from the ones we partook in were very good. Definitely understand why this is a popular place and always busy. Check it out!

This cafe is a good spot to catch up with friends over coffee and pastries that is transit-friendly. This time I came for brunch with my fiancé and we shared the fried chicken platter, and ordered the Spanish latte and iced mocha as our drinks. The food and drinks were good but for the price point, I wouldn't come back for brunch. I feel like this cafe is definitely overhyped and pricey compared to other local spots.

The pastries are delicious and crafted so beautifully. I came here for hot chocolate festival and the flavours were spot on. A tad sweet but it's hot chocolate. I also tried their limited time sticky rice croissant which had all the umami flavours one could want! Texture of the croissant was crunchy, butter and full of flavour. Sadly, the sticky rice texture mixed with croissant was not the best. The service here is great. Staff are friendly. The only downside to this store is the way their line up system works. They have 2 store areas, connected by the till. It's a bit hard to pass through when there are people waiting in line to pay, waiting on line to order, etc. Just a bit of awkward spacing

My cousin recently had Cory from HEY! CAKE THIS! Make a cake for her and below is what she said:…read more YEY!!! I found my forever cake designer and maker for all my family celebrations! I wasn't going to write any reviews because I just don't want to spend time doing it. But when I showed pictures of the cake Cory created for my daughter to my family and friends, I knew I had to write one. I was also reminded by my cousin and sisters about that rip off cake I received last year for my son. The cake we all called the Photocopy cake ( see review for Yummy Yonnie Cakes) But first, let me tell you about CORY'S cakes from HEY CAKE THIS! Cory does not limit the style, colour, theme, flavour, filling or size of the cake. He gives his clients free range. But keep in mind, price will obviously go up the more elaborate your imagination. If you can imagine it. He will create it! I reached out to Cory to get an idea of how much a Poppy cake would be and I even sent a picture I found online to him for reference. I told him to put many flowers and make the cake pink. I wanted strawberry filling, with fresh strawberries and a vanilla cake. Boy did he deliver! The cake I received exceeded my expectations. Everything on that cake was fondant. He cut out all the flowers, the letterings, the number, AND the star of the cake.... POPPY! He made a 2D Poppy! Nothing on that cake was a photocopy image stuck onto sugar paper. Look carefully at Poppy. Her dress, the eyes and mouth. So much details. Cory handprinted some of the details on her too. I commented on his Poppy and how I appreciated him not doing a photocopy image. He told me if the image is not complex he will do all it all freehand. I only gave I'm a week and a half for this cake too! Due to the pandemic, Cory offered free delivery. He wanted to make sure his cake was in the best condition for his clients. Cory is also very considerate. When he arrived, he actually took out a fold up table to place his cake on. He did not want to put the cake on the floor or ground where it could pick up germs. After he put it on the table, he stepped back (social distancing) so that I could take it. The box the cake came in was GOLD with a pink ribbon to complete the look. Did you know he actually MAKES all his boxes the cakes go into? No cheap see through cellophane. But a nice gold colour cardstock box. This is better because if the cake was to be a surprise , the box will definitely keep the cake hidden. My kids recycled the box and make gold cut out starts and crowns for their dolls. Cory is definitely a master cake creator. He will not disappoint. The communication between him and I for the cake was awesome. Before he went ahead with anything he was unsure of, he reached out to me. He wanted to make sure his suggestions was something I would also like. Vancouver is fortunate to have their own 'Duff Goldman'. I regret not having found him sooner to make my cakes. The Photocopy cake was an expensive lesson. Don't go to a place that limits you or brush your feedback off. GO TO CORY from HEY CAKE THIS! You won't be disappointed! I look forward to my two other cakes in the next few weeks! I will post it here as well for everyone to see. His work speaks for itself. All his reviews are excellent. Nothing less than 5 stars. I wish I can give him 10 stars! Cory's custom cakes ARE worth the splurge 1-2 or even 3 times a year! Thank you Cory!
