A small late night stop on our walk to our hotel... worth it! Ended up just doing the basic Nutella/strawberry/whip. The waffle was light with some crispier edges, fresh strawberries and the whipped cream came from a counter top whip cream machine made with real whipping cream instead of from store bought can. Loved it!

So good we went here twice in our short visit to Vancouver! Plain waffle with whip cream or create your own waffle with ice cream and chocolate were our repeat order. It's a cute & quaint spot with fun Norwegian words to learn. Order at a kiosk, one person making the waffles, and maybe two chairs inside to sit, and smell sweet cinnamony toasty waffles in the making.

    Old Faithful

Came here with a group of friends, and we were so glad we did. It's not every day you find a place dedicated entirely to Norwegian waffles. What a unique concept and such a cozy, welcoming spot! I had the Old Faithful waffle sandwich (strawberry, banana, Nutella, almond slices), and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly crisp yet soft waffles, fresh ingredients, and that perfect balance of sweetness. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. Prices vary depending on what you get. They can be on the higher side, but everything feels worth it for the quality. Make sure you bring patience if you do come here, though, and I don't recommend coming here if in a rush. Each waffle is made fresh to order, and you can really taste the care and time that goes into it. Totally worth the wait. Can't wait to come back and try more if in the Vancouver area again anytime soon!

    I Scream (?)

I forgot what the specific thing we ordered was called but it was something related to 'ice cream' in the name. (Like the "I Scream"? idk) Anyways... The waffle itself tasted like the frozen eggo waffles from the supermarket (like not very thick or fluffy - it tasted reheated even though I literally saw them make it... so that was strange). The ice cream sandwich was also meh - also, I'm pretty sure the menu said ice cream, which is why I thought there was going to be actual ice cream :( Overall, not a great dessert. It wasn't the most expensive (around $10 or so?), so maybe I'd consider trying a different option if I ever came again? But I won't been keen to do so any time soon :/

Delicious hole in the wall in downtown Vancouver. Great selection of sweet and savory waffle sandwiches. Good service too.

Was looking for a sweet treat to end the night and thankfully came across this cute place on the walk. We were quickly greeted and ordered up front (optional kiosk ordering). We got the Pebbles Reese, Chocolate Dream, and I-Scream sweet waffles. DELICIOUS! And very big sizes. I would definitely recommend this place for any sweet tooth. They also have savory waffles, which I will have to come back to try one day!

    Grilled chicken club

KOS Waffles is a small shop with a few seating options available. I ended up deciding to get the grilled chicken club waffle (with the ranch dressing on the side) and thought it was okay. I quite enjoyed the bacon and cheese but found the chicken a bit dry. I think I enjoyed the original Waffleland a bit more but found KOS an interesting concept.

    Caramelized cinnamon waffle

Best thing that I ate in Vancouver! Their waffles are shaped like hearts, very iconic of Norway, and they are folded like a taco. Then they placed caramelized cinnamon, powdered sugar, and whipped cream in it. Delicious! It was flavorful without being too sweet or too heavy.

Great waffle sandwiches - had the chicken club a blend of sweetness from the waffle with a great sandwich tucked inside. Glad we stopped.

I've only been to the original location on Robson years ago, so wasn't sure if the quality had stayed the same, but we thought it was worth trying. We ordered a Tiramisu and a Bresilienne to share between four people. It came out it in relatively short time. And wow, they were both even better than I remember. Their waffles are incredibly crisp and light, despite the amount of toppings on them. I don't know how they make them so they stay so resistant to going soggy. And despite the amount of whipped cream, ice cream and sauce on them, the waffle was always able to balance out the sweetness. Their waffles are just perfect balance of flavour and texture. Service was also quite impressive. Our server was very pleasant and attentive, and brought share plates with out being asked. Overall, a great dessert. I don't know why I haven't returned earlier.

I'd also rather the salad and avocado on the side instead. -Ham & Cheese LIÈGE stuffed waffle (3.5/5) the waffle itself wasn't too impressive, liked the stuffing though -Pistachio & Vanilla custard mini LIÈGE waffles (2.5/5) again, the waffle texture was unimpressive, dense & softer, not crispy. (We visited about 4:30 on Saturday on Oct 25) They were great lattes, even some latte art! We went all-out on this visit. I had a Banella Brûlée, absolutely perfect. Everything is a bit sweet but that's what you're looking for when you order an ice cream waffle, right?! The Oreo was also a great choice. The tables are a bit small, but it's manageable. If it was full, I may be a bit claustrophobic but I think it's fine if there's some room. Overall, highly recommend for a latte or a sweet treat. We recently took a day trip to Vancouver for a free Pokemon Go event ... go Team Instinct :). I…read moreused to play Pokemon Go quite religiously but eventually that tapered off, so the event was a fun way to get reacquainted with the game. After walking around for a couple of hours, trying to entice various pokemon creatures into our traps (wait! is that vegan?!), one definitely tends to work up an appetite and this is where the star of our show comes in, WaffleLand Café ! A mere 10 minute walk from the Vancouver Harbour, walking into WaffleLand feels a bit like walking into a culinary pitstop on the way to Disneyland, a feeling that is no accident, completely by design. If you're a Disney addict like me, just having that theming is enough to serve as a subtle transport to a magical (some might say ..the *most* magical) place on Earth! There's just something about the whimsical nature of the storefront and within, coupled with little detailed touches that just serve to tie everything together. Honestly, I could end this post right here and I think it would still qualify as a complete write up lol but ... fat chance, I'm going to tell you about the food :), the food, the glorious food lol. Let's start by pointing out their completely separate vegan menu, I can never say enough about this gesture, it means so much to the community for so many reasons! You get to choose from a variety of waffles, most of them being sweet but not without some "sweet" (so to speak lol) savory options as well. My wife, being of the sweet persuasion, opted for the "Enchanted Forest" .. bananas, strawberries, almonds, a dallop of vegan cream and hazelnut sauce coupled with the thicker, fluffier liège style of waffle! Myself, being a savory character, I opted for the "Smoked Tofu Lover" with all my favorite things, avocado, hummus, smoked tofu, plus maple syrup and dusted with garlic sesame, coupled with a thinner, heartier norwegian style waffle. There's no wrong choices here, my friends! Plus, while I obviously had to put any low carb aspirations aside by agreeing to eat here, that doesn't mean I can't try to make smarter decisions along the way, with the fat and fiber content of my plate at least hopefully helping to slow my body's reaction to the waffle treat! We were both enamored with our respective dishes, just everything about them, the aesthetics, the flavor, the texture and super generous portion sizing! I regret that I neglected to take pictures of their drink menu as they had a great assortment of coffees, shakes, teas, cold drinks, cocktails and shots. I was really inclined to try myself an effervescent Duck Fart (I have issues, I know this....) but alas, twas not to be as the shot wasn't vegan due to Bailey's Irish Cream. So instead, I relegated myself to joining my wife in a delightfully sweet "Mickey in Waffleland", consisting of Grand Marnier, Tequila, and Tia Maria. Cheers! I love places that offer something unique, with superb character, a place with such a special charm that you're unlikely to find something similar elsewhere in your other travels and WaffleLand succeeded in hitting all of those high notes, a magical waffle experience, indeed!
