Lovely coffee roaster that may be a bit more focused on an unbelievable assortment of pour over options. For someone like myself who prefers Cortado/Macchiato small milk espresso drinks, it was "good" but it truly looked like heaven for the pourover crowd. My Cortado was tasty but a bit "thin" for my thicker, more viscous texture preferences. Very warm/comfy vibes and a nice place to hang out and wake up in the morning. Located in Gastown and roughly a block away from the Steam Clock for what it's worth. Enjoy!
Every time I walk into Revolver, my blood pressure lowers instantly. There's magic mix of languid music, coffee smells, and foliage (sit window-side and admire the trees). I'm a sucker for a good multi-roaster cafe, and Revolver is a fantastic one. They serve up beans from all over, and they do it right, thanks to staff with eyes (and noses) for detail. Barista Soho and I chatted about NYC[1], and he told me La Cabra has a bakery there[2]. Savored a lovely pourover from Toronto[3], served hot. That very same day, I returned and had a decaf espresso that slapped[4]. Ample seating. A fair bit of natural light somehow makes it into the shop. Good for a date, coworking (especially in their next door "Archive" space), catching up with friends AND discovering coffee from around the world. Find this shop in Gastown, a short walk from the SeaBus station. [1] Yes, his name was Soho. Not SoHo. [2] Saved for my next trip to the East Village. [3] Saw Dak on the menu, but I'll be in Amsterdam sooner rather than later... [4] No idea what it was. Besides, the menu'll change before I find out[5]. [5] I love footnotes!
I had a flight and thought it was delicious. Each one was made really well. I wish we had something like this in the states.
While visiting I wanted a coffee so we found this place. Very cute shop and pretty spacious. There is a 2nd room so head over there. I didn't find our cashier super friendly. He just said this is all we have. The menu is small so not a lot of variety and truly just basic coffee drinks. I was hoping for a frufru drink I guess but there was none. My cousin was going to order a snack but I saw little bugs flying around so I said to pass. It made it less appealing. We ended up with a cappuccino and vanilla latte. Both were smooth and good. I thought the size was a little small but this was my first latte in Canada so their sizes could be different from what I'm used to. . Overall solid coffee drink though.
I love that they have so many different flavours of coffee to choose from! I've tried 4 different espressos and they've all been unique and really good. Beautiful space in an old heritage building. Theres two rooms, so lots of seating to choose from. However, this place is crazy busy every time I've been here so you never know if you'll get a seat. Oh, and the staff are always super friendly and helpful!
Former 3rd wave barista here, so my espresso standards are unfortunately cooked. Revolver absolutely delivered. Everything was dialed in, the latte art was clean, service was fast, and the quality never dropped. The shop is small but the vibes are immaculate--modern, historic, and minimalist all at once. The long community table in the back is such a nice touch. Staff were super friendly and welcoming too. Would 100% be a regular if I didn't live in Florida. Instead I'm thousands of miles away reminiscing about this coffee like it was a lost love story.
Grabbed a macchiato ($5). The coffee had a nice flavor and it was made well. Friendly staff. Atmosphere that other local coffee shop, wasn't entice to stay long.
Solid coffee in a convenient location! It was easy to order with the knowledgeable baristas. My iced americano was delicious and didn't take too long to be ready. One thing to note is that I came during a summer day and it was extremely hot in the shop as if they didn't have any AC on. I can't imagine being able to study or work in that hot coffee shop, but there were definitely a lot of people doing so. I recommend grabbing coffee here if you're in Gastown! Definitely will be back to try the pour overs.
Genuinely one of the best lattes I've ever had. And the lemon cake! So good. What's funny is I heard an older gentleman returning his lemon cake halfway eaten because it was too dense. But sir, the flavor! No accounting for taste I guess.
Kind service, cozy cafe, and best of all - excellent espresso. I came upon opening and tried two shots in the form of an espresso flight; both were already dialed in. If they weren't, then they've fooled me. I preferred the straight espresso to the macchiato in the flight, because the notes in the coffee are covered by milk - but it was worth a try to explore this cafe for the first time. I prefer straight espresso, anyway! The retail bags of coffee are wonderful examples of specialty coffee around the world. They carry Dak, The Barn, Monogram, Phil & Sebastian, Ex Animo, and more.

Got the espresso flight ($9) which came with two different espressos that's served two ways - plain and with milk The taster was yummy Also got a ham and cheese croissant which I really liked- reminiscent of a bagel because of the seasoning. Service was and good. The place has two sections, so if there isn't seating in the main ordering area, head to the other side

Lemon loaf 5/5 First half of espresso flight: from Ethiopia- more floral and acidic Second half of flight: Columbia - more chocolatey I prefer my coffee more chocolatey so the Columbia cortado was my favorite Delicious and unique flight. Cute seating read more
Revolver is a nice spot for coffee; the coolest part was the hallway that connects the two sides. It's definitely a quite narrow space for ordering, though, where two people couldn't stand side by side comfortably. Seating is plentiful on the order and pick up side, though cramped, and a larger space is available on the other side. I had my usual, an iced latte, here, and it was tasty and strong. The banana bread was also pretty good! Wi-Fi was not easy to find (if available) but since I wasn't staying too long, I hadn't asked. Overall, this is more of a cramped than cozy space and is fairly busy. Every inch is most definitely used, so it may feel a bit claustrophobic - otherwise an excellent cafe! read more
Espresso flight? I've had a margarita flight, enjoyed a wine flight but not an espresso flight. NOW that got my attention! Since downtown Vancouver is a busy city but has a fairly good public transit system, we took the sky train to this popular coffee shop. After I asked a question to the friendly staff, I ordered and received my order number. Thank goodness the suite next door offered tables and seating because it would have been quite a balancing act to enjoy a four espresso tasting without a table. The barista noticed my disappointment when he told me that they only have two espresso varieties for my four taster flight and he offered to add milk to two of them so I can taste the pure shots and mini cappuccinos. This was a thoughtful gesture! One of my daughter's ordered a latte and lemon cream bakery good. I tasted the Monogram Calgary a Colombia/Guatemala blend and Dak Amsterdam from Ethiopia. I tasted a bit of rose and mango in the Monogram like they said but the lemon meringue was absent. I got the fruit and berry hints after having the Dak Amsterdam but little white chocolate. Both blends were very STRONG and I preferred them with a little steamed milk, which softened the intensity without taking away the flavor. A very nice coffee tasting experience for just $10 CAD. read more

I've had coffee all over the world, including Melbourne (where coffee is taken very seriously). This is the best coffee shop I've ever been to. The taste of their pour over coffee is extraordinary, & I could still taste flavor notes in my oat milk latte, which is hard to do. Vibe is very unpretentious and welcoming. Staff is chill & friendly. Merch is really cool. We were visiting & I bought four bags of coffee to take home. Great coffee shop! read more

Great staff and awesome experience with a few rotating beans. The baristas are professional and skilled at making delicious drinks! Only thing that could be improved is the ambiance and experience inside the cafe - there were a lot of people on a Saturday, and the service was understandably lacking due to the volume. There also wasn't enough seating despite having two spaces, wish they had some different configurations to make the space feel less crowded read more
Northwest coffee culture is real. Came in to Revolver mid day on a Saturday, small wait but completely worth it. Ordered a pour over which was absolutely delicious. 5/6 options, the one I chose had chocolately/nutty notes. 5/5 taste, 5/5 presentation, 5/5 vibes. Awesome experience for a coffee lover. read more
Very cool coffee concept! It wasn't too busy when I went. I love the vibe of the place from the moment that we walked in! Their coffee brewing set up is really nice. I got the amino pour over, but I think I would've preferred a latte instead. The coffee was smooth and bold, very solid (latte is just a personal preference). read more
I'm not a regular coffee drinker but even I can tell that the coffee here is very very good! I think I had my best cup of macchiato here :) They have some pastries if you go early enough and they were not bad. Seating is limited so please enjoy your cup of Joe and kindly move on for the next party :) read more

Revolver knows what they're doing! I left happy and upset. Happy because good coffee makes me so happy and this latte was one of the smoothest lattes I have ever had. The vanilla was very fragrant. The drinking experience was also fantastic -- great cup lid! Upset because for some reason coffee does not taste this good back home in the states! Service was fast, I was the only person in line on a weekday afternoon. But the shop was packed with people studying and enjoying the ambiance. read more

Walking into the door you see bags of coffee from some of the best the world has to offer, so you immediately know this is a good place if you're a coffee snob, like moi. They brew pour overs with the NextLevel Pulsar--a great coffee gadget for 1% of the esoteric nerds out there. They offer a number of pour over coffee selections as well as some single origin espresso options for those who need that kind of fix. A must stop for anyone who loves coffee. read more

Finally tried Revolver after all these time. Place was pretty busy even during odd hours, which I think speaks about their reputation. I think if you don't want the crowd, place can be good to just chill or do some study/work. Service was fast and prompt for my cappuccino but I think I am just not a fan of their espresso blend. I could see they have very interesting option for pour over though so will be back to try those. read more

The chocolate croissant went perfect with my hot chocolate! The service was served with a smile and a quick chat, since there was a line almost out the door. The old rustic brick building with nails in the wall shaped as Earth's continents was an art form! I would recommend going here and taking a short walk down the street before the hour to see the Steam Clock toot away a tune! read more

All I had was an iced americano, so I can't speak too much about their specialty drinks. The coffee itself was good, and had nice flavor, but was a little more acidic than I normally enjoy. The only reason I took away a star was because of the layout of the cafe. It has a bar like setting, so when you're waiting for your coffee it's awkward standing next to booths that are occupied. Otherwise the staff was friendly and I enjoyed my coffee! I would be excited to try a latte next time. read more

The coffee here lives up to the hype! It was my first stop after landing in Vancouver and the space is so cozy and perfect for working and spending some quality time. I got an oat milk latte and it was smooth, balanced and creamy. Also got a scone which was good but I wish they warmed it. Overall, highly recommend stopping by Revolver if you're looking for high quality coffee and a place to work or read from. read more
