Location: Located in the same building as The Burrard Hotel. There's also an entry off of the hotel lobby. Store: Its tiny with a few tables and chairs. They charge a premium for their goods ( they are good) but the tables and chairs are those cheap ones. I dont think they want you to stay and savour. They don't have internet there so I'm not sure why. The goods: Coffee, tea, pastries and a couple of sandwiches. I know it's a fancy coffee place, but I thought the coffee was just okay. I got a tea as well another day and I it was okay. Cost a lot for just being okay. The pastries were good, but also pushing the price point. The sandwiches were phenomenal that breakfast sandwich was delicious. But as well pushing the price point. People complain about Starbucks and this place cost more. But I guess it's you know Artesian or whatever so....it's better? The staff were nice. There was one day when the cashier seemed to take herself very seriously. She had a weird interaction with an older lady. If I was that lady I would never come back. Such a great spot to grab a coffee and some breakfast in the morning! Elysian Coffee just happened to be right around the corner from our hotel, so we came to grab a drink and some food before heading out for the day. My iced vanilla latte came out quickly and tasted great. The ham and cheese croissant I tried was buttery, flaky, and a great size for the price! This is definitely a solid coffee shop. read more

I'm always on the hunt for coffee shops to work at and this place isn't bad, I'd give it a 3.5 stars if that was an option. I like their espresso, I get their beans there, and they have a decent selection of drinks. The baristas are friendly. I like going there when its sunny because there lots of sunlight in that place. It's never too loud even though it's pretty small. I just wish they had outlets there, and I don't usually like to stay too long especially if it's cold, because the cold air goes into the small shop every time someone opens the door. Stopped by with a friend for a catch up coffee. I like that they had a specialties drinks menu with holiday flavours but it was missing prices. When I asked the cashier the price of a drink, he didn't know. I got pumpkin spice latte and it was good. But as soon as we sat down to drink, we were told the shop is closed now so we had to leave. A nice small coffee location near the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. This area has like 3-4 coffee spots all within a block to one another. I picked this place because of the reviews. It's very small, so highly recommend to take out. I ordered a black coffee and it was nice and fruity. My wife loved their mocha latte, which wasn't too milky. The latte was so good that we came back another day and tried their seasonal special of the banana mocha latte, which was good too but a tad too sweet for my taste. While waiting for a tour bus, we happened to stop in here for coffee and something to snack on. I ordered a latte and a jalapeño muffin. The latte was made quickly and tasted hot and creamy. Elysian cofee on the first floor of the hotel where I stayed in Vancouver. If you want to have a quick breakfast in the morning, I recommend this place. I brought a cranberry almond croissant with egg cheese muffins to my room. OMG~These were very tasty. Place was located right next to our hotel so we decided to give it a try since it was close. Glad we tried it out, pastries were fresh and taste great. They have a variety of coffees and a great selection of baked goods. Service was great and they were very friendly. Place is located by a hospital so it can get pretty busy in the morning. Blair explained to us the different coffees and what type of Almond milk Elysian uses. We will definitely be returning in the morning for our coffee, tea and chai. Earlier today I met up with an old Seattle Elite Yelp buddy who I've not seen in many years. He was staying at the Burrard Hotel, and this coffeeshop is located on the main floor of this hotel, street level (on Burrard, corner Helmken, right across from St. Paul's Hospital). So...super convenient downtown location. The interior is small but clean and full of natural light, and they have a decent selection of croissants and the like in the display case at the front counter. I asked the girl behind the counter for their smallest size for a dirty chai. She showed me two cup sizes, saying that's all they have, and that the dirty chai is only available in the large size (I think she said it was 12 oz). Hmmmm, well, okay. Strange but okay (I didn't really want a large, as I can't drink all that!). I was also taken aback by the price: my cup of coffee cost over $7! That's insane. I've never had a dirty chai that expensive. To add insult to injury, I wasn't even that keen on the coffee. To me, it tasted somewhat bitter and off-putting. (I'm sure coffee aficionados might appreciate the beans and the richness here, but for someone like myself, it's not my proverbial cup of tea. I prefer smoother coffee tastes). Another disadvantage here: they don't have free wifi. In this day and age, this is a real negative IMO. Even if they don't want people lingering here, it's still mystifying, having people use their own data while spending so much money on their coffees here. I had an Americano with Homemade Almond Milk which was good (nothing outstanding) but the Rooibas Chai with homemade almond milk was great! Full of flavor but not too sweet which was a plus. Nice vibe and ambience indoors. Service is friendly and fast. Conveniently located on Burrard Street. It does close early at 3pm. Nice when one of the top espresso stops in the general area where you're staying (actually in the hotel) is also the best and has a great selection of baked goods so you don't need to venture out in the morning. Props to the baristas here for pulling a fine espresso and other coffee drinks. The dark roast house coffee here is also quite fine and the combination of the rosemary egg muffin or the cheese scone kept me coming back during our 4 day stay. Highly recommended. read more

I dropped by here to grab a latte. I tried other two branches on West Broadway and East 7th Ave. The latte at this one in downtown was as great as the ones at other two branches. I placed an order. It was nice and quick that I got the latte right away. No lineup as I came here around 2pm on Sunday. I asked for to go, so I got a disposable cup. The design on the cup looked great. I felt the design matched well with the "Elysian" theme. This coffee shop has some tables and chairs. Some customers just sat and chatted with friends while they were having coffee. One was working. I'm staying at the Sheraton Wall center on a vacation to Vancouver. Looking for a third wave coffee shop in the immediate vicinity within walking distance was a bit challenging, but I thought I would give this place a try. On the surface, it looked like a step up from the chains such as Starbucks and Tim Hortons. The staff was very friendly and the drink came out quickly. But unfortunately, that's where the positive review ends. The cappuccino that I received had entirely too much milk, and the flavor was very lacking. Maybe it is the beans they use as well... One of the most affordable morning meals a girl can grab downtown. And it was right next door to my hotel! Seriously, a breakfast sandwich or avocado toast is less than $15 CAD and it's made to-order within minutes. While you wait, take advantage of the free wifi (for hotel guests only). The internet situation can be rough for those who aren't staying next door. Definitely *not* meant to be a "hang out and get work done" kind of cafe. More of a grab 'n' go or order and eat, then leave kind of place. Very hip *and* they serve wine.
