While there are very few dairy free options (unsurprising because it's a cinnamon roll and donut shop), the staff worked with me to find something I could eat. Trendy cafe with unique decorations. It is semi-self serve with ordering and paying at the front, but servers bringing food to customers at the table. I tried their The Bam Bam combo which comes with a chicken sandwich, hash sticks (ie thicker fries), a donut and a drink. I picked THE TARRAGON for my chicken sandwich. The fried chicken in it was crispy and juicy. The thinly sliced pickled apple balanced out the fattiness, and gives a refreshing kick. There were only four pieces of hash sticks. They were tasty and enough for me but it felt strange to have only countable pieces of fries! I guess that's why they have to not name it as fries. For the drink, I picked CHERRY PIE MATCHA with oat milk. It really tasted like pie and was pretty filling. I took the strawberry shiso donut home. It was sweet but didn't have a prominent strawberry or shiso taste. Would definitely return for the vibe and sandwiches! read more

What we got: Cherry pie matcha latte Pork belly donut honey sea salt roll Meyer lemon roll Garlic roll Cherry pie matcha latte was decent. Cherry syrup at the bottom dominated the flavor and matcha flavor was a bit weak, however, it was delicious. Honey Sea salt roll was good. Honey glaze on the top was very rich and very sweet with subtle sea salt flavor, dough was very soft and chewy. Pork belly donut was great. I liked sweet and savory combination, Glaze was very rich, dough was lighter than the regular donut. It was easy to eat. A delicious item. Highlight was Meyer Lemon roll! Lemon cream on the top was very sweet, but, very delicious, Dough was very soft and chewy. I highly recommend this item. Garlic roll was decent. Dough was soft and chewy, but a little bit dry. New spot in town, literally opened on April 1st (it's the 4th today) that serves coffee, matcha, sandwiches & various pastries! If you're a fan of Nemesis, then you'll love this sister spot of theirs! Located right by Rogers Arena, you can walk in and expect a futuristic inspired vibe in collaboration with various local artists. They put effort into the concept of their cafe for sure! It's a nice place to catch up with your friends! Their staff were all so kind! I met Jimmy, one of the managers that run the place and he really took his time to explain the concept of Bam Bam and the vibe they look for when hiring for their team. They all sound close knit and truly appreciate their job. Food wise, I specially went for the cherry pie matcha. $8.5 for a pretty decent size and I find that to be the average nowadays. The matcha was a tad too milky for me though. The cherry pie taste was interesting. Not too sweet and I wouldn't say it overpowered the matcha, but it def left a slight tang. Wasn't my favourite, but it was nice to try. The chicken sandwich (I got their hot honey) was around $18. I thought that was pretty pricy for just a plain sandwich, with nothing else inside or any fries. But I took my first bite and immediately changed my mind. It was soooo tender and juicy. The outside was the perfect crispiness and the flavour was spot on! I honestly can't wait to come back and try their cocktails & more food (esp if they're all at the standard of the hot honey chicken sando!). No line when I went Saturday morning! Bambam, under the same management of Revolver, is a newish cafe located near BC Place. Luckily there wasn't a long queue when we came in and managed to get a table right away. Cool interior design and pretty unique in Vancouver cafe scene for sure, however, I think flat white ($5.75) was just average relative to price charged. I did really enjoy the Bacon & Egg Sando ($12) but felt like donut was too greasy and dry at the same time. They do have interesting flavour like pork belly donut and lemon roll. bam bam, part of nemesis coffee, leans confidently into a cool, design forward identity and totally delivers. the crowd skews hip and young, but it never feels try hard, which keeps the whole space feeling effortless instead of over curated. tucked beside the sandman signature vancouver hotel on west georgia and just steps from chinatown-stadium skytrain station, it sits right in the middle of a busy downtown pocket. once you're inside though, it flips the switch and feels like its own little world. the interior really carries the experience and makes a strong first impression. it's bright, modern, and wrapped in floor to ceiling windows, with metallic sculptural couches that give it a futuristic, editorial edge. they look incredible, even if they're not the most 'sink in and stay awhile' type of seating. as the day rolls into evening, the energy ramps up and the whole space shifts into something louder, buzzier, and almost lounge like. the merch setup is seriously fun and clearly intentional. it feels more like a styled installation than a retail corner, with a vintage tv, vhs tapes, a record setup, and even an open suitcase showcasing branded pieces like graphic tees and a heavyweight crewneck. details like worn boxing gloves layer in that nostalgic streetwear vibe. it's less about selling and more about building a whole brand universe, and it absolutely works. the hype is real. a midday lineup feels expected for a spot like this, and even on a monday evening it was packed, loud (bass) and full of energy. we managed to grab a table, though it hadn't been cleared yet, which kind of sums up how fast everything is moving. service is solid overall, with staff bringing orders directly to your table, which is always a plus. during peak times though, things get a little loose around the edges. tables don't always get cleared right away, and there can be a bit of a lag getting orders to the right people. nothing major, just part of a place still finding its rhythm under pressure. the menu is tight but playful, with a few standout, on trend items. think fried chicken sandos, oversized donuts styled like cinnamon buns, and drinks like the apple pie latte and cherry pie matcha. it's not trying to do everything, just a few things that actually pop. the cherry pie matcha latte with oat milk was what i came here for, and it looked amazing, layered, colourful, and very on brand. once mixed, it leaned more tart, as expected, and slightly overpowered the matcha, but it's still super refreshing and fun if you're in the mood for something a little different. staff were all personable, patient, and approachable throughout, even with the constant rush, which definitely didn't go unnoticed. overall, this isn't your quiet coffee shop moment. it's all about energy, visuals, and being right in the middle of the action. a little chaotic at times, but in a way that totally fits the vibe. i'd come back for sure, just knowing exactly what kind of experience i'm walking into. read more

The vibes were definitely delivered as soon as you walk into Bam Bam! They have a lot of seating and even though the place was quite busy, the line moved quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for the food. All the staff were really nice as well and they took great care in getting to know their customers as they would walk around talking to people and help serve the food. I ordered the hot honey fried chicken sando and it was insane how good it was!!! It was incredibly juicy and the different flavours complimented each other so well. Even though it was pricey, it would probably be one of the few food places/items that I would consistently go back for. I also ordered their Strawberry Shiso donut to go and I liked how unique the flavour combination was. One feedback I would give is that I would have preferred if there was more jelly filling inside the donut and also have it be evenly spread out as I think one half had more filling compared to the other half. And maybe the icing on top could complement the flavour better as I think the jelly was where a majority of the flavour was. read more

The vibes are so high in this spot! My partner and I got there on the earlier side so there wasn't a line yet, but it def got much busier around 9-9:30am. I love the way they display their donuts like they're art. Flavors are fun! I got the chocolate malt, and my partner got the strawberry shiso. The chocolate malt was so good and the icing was perfectly chocolatey with fun little crispies on top. Shiso isn't for me, but I did try the strawberry jam/icing on top of the donut, and that was excellent. They also have some great apparel like hats, sweatshirts, and tees. We couldn't help ourselves and both got ourselves a tee. It's heavyweight and definitely really good quality. Service was amazing too! Jimmy (I think that was his name) was so helpful while we were being indecisive about clothing and was so nice. I noticed he asked everyone their name and gave them a handshake. From what I gathered, they opened April 1st of this year; my visit was this last Saturday so about a month into their open date. I was visiting from SF from Cali and man, this place is boujee in the best way. Inside, the interior is spacious and modern; they have couches that look like they are chrome inflated balloons! I got in around 8:30am this past Saturday and it wasn't that long of a wait. Their pastries are on full display in a unique way. For me, it was a toss up between two donuts (Brown Butter Pecan vs Maple Black Pepper). The dude (stache, inked up) ringing me up me provided his personal suggestion since he prefers pecans. Since I ended up with something sweet, I ended up also buying something savory - their egg/bacon sandwich. Both were delicious and reasonably priced! They make clever use of their metal surfaces and dry erase markers, utilizing it for their advertising of the pastries. People aren't really seated anywhwere but they also keep track of names-via-tables, as the server (lady w inked sleeves) brings out the food. I didn't order any beverages but the barista (guy with a topknot) was slinging drinks solo (?); I left around 10:15am and there was a curled line at the time of my departure. As someone from California, their music very much reminded me of home with old school R&B, pop and hiphop like Outkast, De La Soul. Great ambiance. The only real knock I have against BamBam is their merch, I wish they had dark-hued cap or hoodie as they only have one of each (beige ballcap w green brim & an ivory hoodie, respectively). But I wouldn't knock stars over that. My second visit to Vancouver has me looking forward to revisiting this place in the near future! read more

My best friend and I went to BAM BAM for our girls' night out... we LOVE Nemesis and Dope Bakehouse and we knew their specialty donut shop wouldn't disappoint at all and we were right... BAM BAM is really worth the experience... the nostalgia had a modern twist yet took us back in time to our youth (and we're still reminiscing)... we checked out their threads which were very interesting (love the bulldog) while we waited for our order...we had their chicken sandwich and popcorn chicken which were both mouth watering... we also tried their apple pie latte and cherry pie matcha which had our taste buds dancing with delight and even more so as we topped our night off with their strawberry shiso with miso caramel and honey sea salt donuts... we've added BAM BAM to our rotation of venues for our girls' night out and we're so looking forward to coming back and trying their other savory and sweet treats (I'm even planning to return on my own as it's such an inviting setting)...
